Pretty Cool. I want some but living in Ireland I do not think I can afford this for my car. I will save save save and then maybe have a plate too!!
Hi Keri: I wish then some day you will have them for your car. Did you watch BallyKissAngel? It is one of my favorite shows. It never aired on US television, so I ordered the DVDs. I found the Irish Country so pretty.
I am part Irish and would love..LOVE..to visit some day.

Hi Kati: I never saw BallyKissAngel on tv here in the States. It was played on the BBC in Ireland. I believe it was shown in the UK as well. I bought the first DVD without ever seeing it. And I fell in love with the show. I really enjoyed it.
Kerri is from Ireland and I thought she might have seen it.
No wonder, I never heard of it, it is plenty enough for me to remember, what is happening here in the States, and on top of it in english. HUH. Kati

It seems that most states allow 7 letters for custom plates, however OREGON allows only 6 so I cannot have Rieufan so Kyleigh is nextg best. I do have a frame around my fron't plate that reads De Waltz Konig and at the bottom, ANDRE RIEU FAN. I got this custom made for about 10.00 on ebay.
OH,and Kyleigh is actually my great granddaughter, not bad for 60 eh?
Well, I just fell over! As you only look 40, you could say Kyleigh is your daughter! My goodness.

Here in CA we can have 1 blank space, so mine is RIEU FAN. States without the space have RIEUFAN.
But, anything is cool. I've had people honk and wave. In San Jose, while I was parked prior to the concert in 2005 some guy drove by, and then drove around again, to stop, snap a photo and give me the thumbs up. So, I have fun with the plates too.
Those are all the people, who knows Him, do know His name. I try mine like that, I hope all the people in Colorado will honk at me, not for my car, but for my license plate!! Kati
Hi everyone, once we decide where we will live, Pa. or Florida then we will have a personalized plate. Florida allows 7 letters. A few years ago when I lived there I wanted "weather" on my plate then I saw my weatherman friend and he said he got it first. So now since I found Andre there is only one name for the plate - RIEU (or whatever I can get). Hugs

That was long ago, and the plate was above his regular plate.
Ah, Lawrence Welk! It's been a while. As a child (many, MANY, MANNNNNY years ago) I used to get teased, and often I was called Lawrence Welk. (keep in mind the mindset of children growing up with Elvis as the number one name associated with music). As an aside, my dear aunt Marianne, who lived in San Diego was a great Lawrence Welk fan, and attended one of his TV shows (remember LIVE TV???). At the time Lawrence Welk would start his orchestra playing some waltz then step out into the audience and dance with a few of his admirers. He chose Aunt Marianne on that night. Talk about a lady that was in Heaven! That was a memory that stayed with her until her death. Imagine if Andre were to step into the audience and dance with a few ladies!!!

Aww what a dear memory for your Aunt Marianne to keep with her. No doubt she held that special. I remember seeing Lawrence Welk dancing with people from the crowd.
The house my parents owned when I was a kid, had a huge, really very big fireplace and hearth. On Sunday evening, I would put my 'church shoes' back on so I could tap dance while Lawrence Welk was on the black & white television. It was a must see for me.

I was speaking with a client named Natasha, and asked where her accent was from. She told me she was born and raised in the Ukraine. She runs a Dance Studio and invited me to take Ballroom Dancing. I didn't even know they offered it. Hummmm...got me thinking! So, Piano Lessons again, and Ballroom Dancing.
You would enjoy it!! This way, You would know waltz, if You do not know at yet, by the time I will meet You in Sacramento!? In Europe, people do not get offended, or think of You that You are AC-DC, it is natural, even strangers sit at the same table at Restorants. But, I would not care, what anybody think of me, I just want to have a good time!! Kati

Getting back to the Lawrence Welk show, it was a nice documentary, the way He started, so much black and white, and later His show on TV, then the Color Shows, then the cancellation and the syndication, was very interestin, naturally they wanted a pledge.Lost of clips,dances,but it was not a full show broadcasted.
