Incline Village Chat n Chomp

It started with an invitation to visit Ruth Morgan for the weekend and see her new home theater.  Who could resist a nice visit with a dear friend and a brand new 106" screen to watch Andre Rieu DVDs on?  Little did I know, it would end up being an Andre Rieu weekend and we would have
not one but two Chat n Chomps!

Jim and Ruth, your "bit of paradise" is gorgeous! Jim, you did a fantastic job on the new Media Room!. The 106" screen looks like the next best thing to a live concert! Way to go. Barb Henderson

      Hi Barb,
Yes Barb, we had a great weekend with Sally. We can't stop talking about how nice it was to see Andre DVDs on the big screen. It was almost like being at a
concert...maybe it was even better. Thanks for the compliments to Jim. He did it all himself.

Kati & Ruth, What do you think of this idea? ...  We could have an Andre Around The World Weekend.  Each of us sharing something from our heritage.

Kati I would love to learn to dance the CSARDAS .  We could also dance the IRISH JIG (Highland Dancing).  AND, of course we would have to learn the KLOMPENDANS !

Who else would like to do this?  Anyone?  Everyone?

It is the best idea I heard recently, We would have to give Us a little time, I am too busy with My husband at the present time, I would be more than happy to teach csardas, and We could sing along and get the right tunes for the other dances. Kati

Sally, it sounds like a wonderful weekend! A weekend like that would be a dream...to sit around and watch and discuss Andre! And in such an incredibly beautiful place...I've been there, and it's heaven on earth.

I could be so lucky to have a weekend like that. It would be the next best thing to a concert, or heaven. I don't know what it's like to have so many around discussing and watching Andre Rieu...it's beyond what I can imagine. Is it really possible? I mean...really really possible? I being funny here because knowing in my heart it WOULD be possible...I just haven't found it yet. I would love to have a weekend like that...is it really possible??

I'm going to dream now...and see if it would be possible. Oh...how nice it would be!

Thanks for your wonderful story Sally.

Hi Ruth, thanks for the very nice invitation to visit and be a part of this kind of opportunity. I know that it IS truly possible, but at this point, it's not possible for me. My situation at home would not allow me to do such a thing. It's a long story. That's why I say that it is a dream...right now...it IS a dream. But, I would dearly love to sit around and discuss Andre with a bunch of people who feel the same way...and watch him in your beautiful media room. Oh, would it ever be nice to see an Andre dvd on that wide screen you have! ) Yes indeed, a wonderful dream. If you were closer to me in Washington, then I would definitely take advantage of your invitation. I just cannot leave my brother long enough to do something like this. Now, if you lived in Portland, OR, or Vancouver, WA, then that would be me knocking on your door right now!) Thanks again!

          Hi Marlene,
By any chance, are you going to the Andre concert in Portland, OR on Oct. 21st? Sally and I and my friends, Dorli and Gerda, will be there. If you are, maybe we can meet for dinner somewhere.

Hi Ruth! YES, I am going to the Portland, OR concert on Oct. 21st. I would LOVE to meet all of you! My brother is going with me...I will have to deal with him, I doubt very much if he would want to come to dinner. I could seriously discuss that with him though. So, I will have to work that out. Are you going to be staying at a hotel close by?

      Hi Shirley,
No I haven't ever been to the Valhalla Renaissance Fair. I think Jim's sister and brother-in-law's granddaughter was married there. I saw the photos.
If everybody comes at once, I'll have to rent a house or use Jim's sister's house here too.

If all the people would show up at the same time, We would just have to tolerate ech other, so many good people need just a little space. Your house would be OK. I do remember, growing up in one bedroom My parents and 3 youngest kids of us. Nothing happened to us. Kati
