Andre in Melbourne
All eyes had been focused on the door, and when he emerged people were clapping and cheering. Then the crowd surged around to the side of the stage to follow him but of course it was packed with people already, so there was a bit of a crush then.
No-one could move in the shopping centre, the security guards were everywhere trying to get people to keep the walkways clear. In the larger area of the mall to the side of the stage on the lower level people were perhaps 20 or 30 deep in one area, basically right down the mall walkways. Andre played "My Way" and then a couple of verses of "Waltzing Matilda". The cheering was deafening. Then he began signing autographs.

WOW thank you Virginia. It is so wonderful to see our Andre in your beautiful country. I was following the event at the mall last night via my Australian clock on the PC and I was saying I guess Andre is walking into the mall at this moment. He looked gorgeous as usual in these photos. I didn't see anyone in the crowd who looked like Kerstin but that doesn't mean she wasn't.

I agree Shirley, I thought that too when I saw her looking so dreamy eyed and that is only one we can see well. I bet there are a lot of dreamy-eyed fans who could not sleep that night
Looking at this happening is just mind boggling. I cannot imagine how Andre must have felt. Talk about having a lot of pride!!! I feel so much pride myself...I know that sounds funny but hey, that is OUR Andre.

Seeing Andre in your photographs, it appears he is enjoying the people of Australia very much. Reading your story, I can see you enjoyed him too!
Hi Sally, all your get well wishes have helped me to bounce back to almost back to my old self.
Sally I posted to you today 2 taped videos of Andre on the Kerri-Anne programme and the other interview on Channel 10 with David Rene. I hope there is someway you can share these interviews with everyone around the world who unfortunately missed out on Aussie television. If not, please enjoy them yourself. Hi Margaret & Jeff, The venue will be Telstra dome in Nov/ Dec 2008. Don't know exact dates yet.

I don't think Margaret will come off of cloud 9 for a long, long time. I am still on that cloud and I wasn't that close (except when he jumped up on the stage about a foot in front of me and I was so blown away that I just clicked the camera so fast and got a real nice blur of Andre entering the stage) but I speak from experience. You gals better watch this heartbreaker because you will not be the same once you see him in a concert especially if you are close to the stage
WOW what a nice photo to have Margaret! Thanks for sharing. Wish Andre would do some promo work here even though he doesn't need any but we sure could use it. I am just dying to be in the same frame with Andre like this. (dreaming again or still)

You are right Jeanine Ann. André doesn't need any promo work here, but WE need it.
I would love to be "in the same frame" with André, however the chance that would happen is slim, so, I am happy with what I do get from him, which is his beautiful music and HE, HIMSELF in front of us entertaining us like no other person that I know.
But still...it's nice to dream...whether to dream "again" or "still", it's nice to dream of a time when it would be possible to meet him in person.
