André Rieu Signed My Violin

Hi Everyone, I have just purchased a violin signed by Andre Rieu when he was here in Australia. I will have it professionally mounted in front of a block mounted poster in a display cabinet, This will be completed by Christmas, I asked for ideas from the many fans on the official site and got a flood of emailed this morning of suggestions and people wanting to buy. Sorry but it is not for sale as it will take pride and place in my fathers lounge room as it will be a Christmas gift for him. I have saved all the email addresses and I will send several photos of this once it is completed. I will be working this week with the cabinet maker to design the most special cabinet. If any of you true Andre fans would like me to email them the finished product or have suggestions please email me ... (email webmaster@andrerieufans.com and she will give Gary your request) and I'll send you photos once completed. I will ensure that the finished product is of the highest quality in an original design by true Andre fans. Bring on the Brisvagas concert.

I just came back from the master cabinet maker and we worked out the design. I have ordered 2 posters from AR website and one of them will be block mounted The case will be thick enough for the violin to be mounted with an external brass handle so you can spin it around to look at the front or back were the signature is. The trim around the poster is Royal blue velvet and the outer frame is old roman style marble with beading. The glass is preservation glass, non reflective and repeals 99% uv rays.

Dad loves him so much and I explained listening to him through tv speakers does not do him justice so I bought him a full 5.1 amplifier sound system told him it was for Christmas, now he gets this. If anyone can let me know how do I preserve Andre's signature on the back of the violin it will be greatly appreciated or should I leave it and risk fading. It is in thick black marker. Thanks again everyone for your help and I'll post the finished masterpiece in mid December, 2007.

Andre Fan: Gary

    Hi gary,
If you bring the violin to a violin shop or a place where thay fix violins ask them to put a clear coat of varnish or laquer and the signature will never come off!
i hope this is helpfull to you!

I can see it now, as Gary's Dad sees this violin, he will think of not only André and the Johann Strauss Orchestra, but also of Gary.

It sounds as if many others will also be able to enjoy this violin and be exposed to André's music. And that is always nice.

Thank you for sharing these photos and this story.

Good afternoon to you all. It was cold and a little snow flurries here and there. That is the angels shaking the dandruff off of their wings. It is a perfect day to sit by the fireplace and listen to Andre's music and have a nice cup of tea. We are having our Harvest dinner tonight here at the community so my kitchen is closed for tonight.Hope you all have a nice day and enjoy the beautiful music that God has given us thru Andre. Puddi says hello too. Hugs to all. Aud

Well you know they can have any where from a dusting to 4 feet of it. It all depends on the size of the angel. Love and Hugs. Aud

What a wonderful Christmas present for your Dad Gary, I am longing to see the finished product. I have just ordered Andre's new CD direct from his website and I'm waiting anxiously to receive this.

Absolutely loved the comment that snow is Angels dandruff!!!!! How cute, we don't get snow here in Perth Western Australia, however, we do further down south of our State.

I'm also checking Andre's website madly waiting for his concert tickets for his Australian tour next year to come on sale.... Patience is what I lack when it comes to this wonderful concert of a lifetime.... but I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ... love and hugs Les xxxxx

Hey Jeff, are these two different listings.  I did not copy the item no. down.  The seller is not the same name as the person who bought it but you can always use a different account.  How did this person get the photos unless he or she downloaded them from the first sale and what is the CD?

Hi Jeff:  The link was too long for the editor.  (Plus I don't want to send others to where they might be ripped off)

I've seen everything you can think of for sale.  People need to use good judgment when ordering from unknown people or locations.  While most are legitimate, many are not.
