For the first time in its existence, Andre Rieu Productions in conjunction with the Minerva Cinemas one of his concerts on the big silver screen in the theater.
Van donderdag 6 december t/m woensdag 13 december a.s. From Thursday, Dec. 6 to Wednesday, December 13 as zal in de Minerva Bioscoop in Maastricht, een week lang eenmalig en exclusief een aantal vertoningen plaatsvinden van "André Rieu in Wonderland". Will the Minerva Cinema in Maastricht, a single week, excluding a number of impressions made of "Andre Rieu in Wonderland". Een voor de bioscoop geremasterde versie in digitaal HD beeld en geluid. One for the cinema geremasterde version in digital HD picture and sound.
André Rieu will appear on the big screen for
the first time in his musical career.
That was announced Friday by the management of the director and violinist.
The movie theater Minerva in Maastricht will show "André Rieu in Wonderland" from 6 through 12 December, a compilation of the two concerts he gave this past summer in the fairytale park "De Efteling" in Kaatsheuvel. It will be a repeat of the concert DVD. According to Minerva's theater manager it is an exclusive celebration of representation and sound which was aired on television.
If the movie is a success in attendance, the possibility exists that it will be distributed nation wide.

We hear and see fairy tales from all over the world, from opera and operetta, musical, classical music, ballet and film. Muziek uit Hänsel und Gretel, het Zwanenmeer, Die Zauberflöte, Das Land des Lächelns, Sneeuwwitje, Peer Gynt, Frau Luna e.v.a. Music from Hänsel und Gretel, the Swan Lake, Die Zauberflöte, Das Land des Lächelns, Snow White, Peer Gynt, Frau Luna eva Dit alles voor het decor van een echt sprookjeskasteel, met alle bekende sprookjesfiguren, van prinsen en prinsessen tot de grote boze wolf, de heks en een heuse tovenaar. All of this in front of a real fairy-tale castle decor, with all known sprookjesfiguren, princes and princesses of the great evil wolf, the witch and wizard.

Dear friends, If this should happen, I would be among the first to go to the theatre where it is shown & I haven't gone to a movie theatre for at least 20 years. I'd rather watch a tv production
as I don't go out in the evening. One thing I am a widow and alone, so treking around after dark is not for me.
I go to my daughter's home or my son's but no place else, I dont think I am the only one in this situation. I did go to Edmonton, but took my grandson & I did go to the Calgary concert a couple of years ago & took a friend with & then drove home. I am one & onehalf hours from Calgary, but Edmonton was an overnight jaunt, and I am getting older so driving at night is getting to the point, where in another year I may not be able to do that kind of trip. Guess we wil just have to see how it will go.

Jeff, I love leftovers at Thanksgiving. Turkey Sandwiches are the best, and mashed potatoes with gravy..yumm. Pumpkin Pie is my favorite although my kids like Cherry & Apple.

The big Fan Dinner started in Dallas, and is spreading throughout many countries. It's a great idea for nice fans to have fun!
We just ate the last of the leftovers tonight! My sister and her husband shared our Thanksgiving dinner so we split everything so we would have enough for a few days. I like leftovers too. I remember when we were kids we liked mashed potato sandwiches as a leftover. I guess that sounds strange but with real fresh bread and a little butter they were good. Now I must lose a few pounds before Toronto so I can get into my new dresses. Hugs

I gave an autograph to an elderly friend as a gift. And I've sold extra tickets I had at cost. Never thought of trying to make money off of other Fans. I can see "cost" for things that are paid for and such or services.
Poor Andre, sometimes I think after all the practice and concerts, then we fans get his autograph. I think his hands need a vacation all of their own.

This is a different Lyndall. It reminds me of when I worked at a large refinery. There were no Debbies, Susans or Kathys but we had 3 Sallys!
If you go to Andre's website you will see a banner that says "GREAT NEWS FROM DOWN UNDER", there he says that" tickets for our 2008 Australian tour will go on sale within 4 weeks. Subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know." I assume that will be about the last week in Dec.That seems to be the way it's done here too,about a year in advance of the actual concerts, the tickets go on sale.

We sure know about this ordering a year in advance. It is the only way to get good seats, but then again, any seat is a good seat. It gives time for the ticket sales to be complete. The best thing about it will be that we have a year to look forward to the concert.

OMG i just got a big box in the mail and on the front it has a weight so they know how much to charge on shipping and it weights 27 pounds!!! and on the cover of the box it says"contents 1,200 andre catalogs" what am i going to do with all of those catalogs???!!!?? well now i have over 1,800 catalogs!!! because they sent extras before too! well i guess i am stuck with them lol wish me luck!!!
