André Rieu will bring Vienna to his fans in Australia by importing a stage set-up that includes a replica of the Castle of Schönbrunn, two ice rinks, two working fountains and hundreds of dancers, musicians and artists. Fans will feel like they have journeyed to Europe to see him perform.

His unique and exuberant style makes his shows one of the most talked about in the world of popular classics. Fans spend more time dancing in the aisle than sitting in their seats.

Since joing pay tv I discovered Andrea Rieu on Ovation channel. "Andre you and your orchestra, choir bring such joy to you audience. Your music is so uplifting, leaving us with such a beautiful feeling of joy and goodwill. Suzan has the most beautiful voice and her rendition of Don't Cry for me Argentina gave me goosebumps. She truly has the voice of an angel. And to see the antics of your orchestra adds a light and humourous touch to each event. Once again you bring such joy and good will to your viewers

Jackie, that is a very beautiful sentiment to send to André.  And I agree with you about Suzan.  No one sings Don't Cry For Me Argentina as she does.  Suzan gives that song her all, and it gives me goosebumps too.

I am happy to see André's Australian visit getting closer and closer.  It will gives those wonderful people who have not been to a concert, a chance to see André live.

My daughter and I have collected all andre's DVD's and were looking forward to his concert in Brisbane. We kept an eye on ticketlink, but missed out on tickets for any front row seats. I am a pensioner and had a row with my husband when I told him I was prepered to pay $500 for a ticket (someone told us they were that expensive. Alas, it won't be for us,Bitterly disappointed, Mildred

I have bought all Andre's DVD's. Told everyone I know about him. Now, although constantly checking ticketlink, my daughter and I missed out getting tickets. We wanted to sit in front even if it had cost us $500 a ticket!! We also needed to fly from Cairns to Brisbane. Bitterly disappointed, Mildred

I noticed this evening that Ticketek are advertising more tickets again for the Brisbane concert. Limited seats only in Category 1 Grandstand and also seats in Cat 4. If anyone is interested I would suggest getting in quickly.

Hello, I hope you don't me giving updates on Ticketek sales for Andre's Brisbane concert. More tickets have just been released including some for Cat 1 field. This just might help someone who was despairing because they thought they had missed out. Good luck!

      Watch for the announcement. Cheers

The advertising for the Australian tour makes it sound as if it is the same show which I have on DVD and have seen on Ovation. Why should I pay so much to see it in person? If I could afford it it wouldn't matter, but can anyone assure me it will be different to what I have seen for so much less money? Love the man, love the music !!!

        Hi Linda,
I don't know what Andre will be doing in the Australian concerts except for the fact that it will be a Romantic Viennese Night
using the Schonbrunn setting.  I just saw Andre's concert in Toronto and all I can say is that you must experience this in person.  I have watched the DVD's over and over again and before my first concert which was last year in April I could never say that I had experienced the feeling that you get when you are there.  I saw two concerts in Toronto and even though they were identical in presentation, the reaction, the audience, Andre's expressions can always be different.  I watched the DVD's and always thought - I wonder what it is like to be there and experience what the audience is feeling especially during the encores when Andre is at his best communicating with us.  Sometimes (if you are close to the stage) you will make that eye contact with him which is priceless.  When that happens you feel he is playing just for you.
No Linda i cannot asssure you that the concert in Australia will be different but I can assure you that you will never be the same once you have seen Andre live.  Hugs to you

Why are they so slow in putting extra concerts up for sale in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne when the existing concerts are either sold out or as good as sold out ? Also is Perth ever going to open ? one would think that carting all the equipment to downunder that Andre especially this far out would be meeting market demand for concert tickets whilst DVD sales are so hot ? There will be no risk in opening extra concerts in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as demand for tickets will only further increase as the actual dates of the concerts draw nearer .

Hi their, all you Andre Fan, i have followed Andre Now for 5 years, and play his DVD's. I work night shift and have to be awake the whole night, finishing work at 7am, often i can watch up to 3 of Andres DVD's per shift. One might say you must be sick of watch the same DVD's , Over the past year i have introduced Andre to three of my work collegues, and they can't get enough of him either, i went to Eastland several months ago, and look photo's, and they were exceptionally close and turned out good, To those of you haven't seen New Year in Hannover, what a great concert that is, and the Violin group bond, sensational, hope they come to Australia with Andre?
Can't wait to November, just hope its a great Melbourne evening under the stars.

On the Ovation website it says that the Ovation allocation for the second concert is sold out!

Hi Margaret. I am certain that the notation about the allocation being sold out refers to the first concert. From memory this notation has been on the site for quite some time. Given that the tickets for the second concert do not go on sale through Ovation until 4 Feb it would be a bit tough if they were sold out already. If it was Ticketek then yes, there are a lot of pre-sold tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Ticketek will no doubt make an announcement about the second concert soon.

Margaret, I think the messages they have left are very confusing. I think they mean their 29th November allocation is sold out because the second concert has not even been announced.

        Hi Margaret:

Ovation is saying their 1st allocation for the 1st concert is sold out.

They have tickets for the 2nd concert. They have not even started selling them yet.

I do wish All Concerts would be announced at the same time. I think maybe Andre does not know how popular he is. But all concerts will be sold out.

It will be fantastic if Andrew plays Australian songs during his Australian tour. Idealy, the Australian children choire with Andre orchestra & singers playing and singing "I still call Australia home" or a version of "walzing Matilda" would be a highlight for all down under fans.

Waltzing Matilda is fine, but please not "I still call Australia home". We have so much fine music here but little of it has been written since the 1950s. Even "The Pub with no beer" is better.

Andre's popularity in Australia is certainly amazing. The second concert in Sydney has already sold out of catergories 1,2 and 3. The second concert in Brisbane has only single seats left in catergory 1 after just 2 days selling. And we are still 9 monthe away from the first concerts. It certainly must be a humbling feeling for Andre, and deservedly so I say.
