Happy, Happy 50th!! I will be 54 on June 12, 2008. My husband is 6/26/57, my sister is 6/16/57, and my brother is 6/10/63.
My parents were teased for years about their children all being born in June. My Dad was a banker and took my Mom to wherever his conventions were in September. Happy memories and parties galore all in June!!

I was just on the phone with my Mom, and we were getting all confused about how we would meet for the many things we have to celebrate including my son's "stepping up" to middle school, at the end of June. It's always someone's communion, or graduation along with it all. HAPPY THINGS.
(I was at a funeral on Monday, for a relative, and yesterday, a wake for the Dad (42yrs) of one of my son's baseball teammates. Both were unexpected passings. SO, LET'S ALL BE THANKFUL WE HAVE EACH OTHER, and the music of ANDRE!!And, this wonderful website where we can share with each other. WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE LIFE!!!
I suppose we in my family have our ups and downs like anyone else, but we do love to have the one big cake in June for the 4 of us (including hubby).
I am so lucky to have my parents,still. My Dad just turned 80 and my Mom is 78.
My Mother in law is 79. My son knows the joy of grandparents.

Hey there Jeff, we haven't exchanged words on this blog, but it's not midnight yet, so I am sending you many wonderful wishes for your Birthday just in case it's today. If it isn't than you are being given a double dose of Birthday Wishes for a rip roarin good time. Crank up Andre's music, grab a gal and dance the night away. I find my-self constantly whistling to Andre's tunes once I get them in my head as I travel once the music has stopped, but it isn't a long stop, Andre's music is always on, be it in the car or at home. I get a kick at the look people give me, cause they can "see" me go thru the motions of whistling, but no sound comes out; it is all in my head. But I stray from the original message. Hi Jeanine Ann, Thanks for asking about my sister Mavis ... she is still struggling with the loss of Bill and her daughter is finding it unbearable on some days ... her daughter actually lives in another State in Australia and was due to arrive in Perth on the actual day Bill passed away, so she didn't make it to Perth in time
I have got tickets to see Andrea Bocelli, who is coming to Perth in August, which should be a good concert... but of course the highlight of 2008 will be our darling Andre, it is only 171 days away.

Thank you Constance dear. That is so sweet of you. Judy is not doing well but we can still hope for a miracle. Her kidneys are not working and she had to be taken back into surgery today for a new temporary pacemaker. Tomorrow they will do a test to check the heart valves. I don't know what it is called but it could stop the heart so she must be on the respirator until both tests are over. The other is a full body scan. She is so bloated because of the kidneys not working. I have been so worried and is the entire family. I will keep all of you posted and thank you again Constance for caring. You have your own problems and yet you take the time to think of others. You are special and so is everyone who is praying for Judy and has sent a card. Love and hugs to all of you.

suggestions? HA! I think anything you choose would be fine. There are so many and they're all great.My own favorites have been la vie est belle, Romantic Moments,Live In Tuscany, at The Movies, and my very favorite, Musik zum traumen(or something like that). It may be harder to find.But anything you choose, you will not be disappointed.
Gosh, CDs are so personal. I like Songs From My Heart aka The Homecoming. I enjoy most of the songs, and I love hearing Frank play the carillons.

That's why I have so many because I can't decide what's an all-time favorite.

Hi Jeff, I like the way you described how a piece of you is built when you know you've effected someone with your music. I think I have had this experience singing with the choir, but never heard it described this way---it's a lovely way to think of it. I, too, have so much joy when performing, and when people come up to me telling me how they felt, I am so humbled by that. Music really brings us all together--audience and performer alike.

Wow, Jeff, love the Glinka piece. I am amazed at the speed of those bows across the strings....all while being accurate and in tune. You must have fun playing this piece, it's lively, and the musicians were having a good time! Just like Rieu's orchestra does.
So, at least you had fun on your bday!!!
I had choir practice the night of my bday, and it was the last one of our season.... I am a first soprano. We do Mozart, Handel. We've done Vivaldi, Faure, you name it. It's challenging and fun, and I couldn't live or breathe without it!!
