Diane & Nathalie, taken during 2006 concert here in Phoenix. I have no idea what musical selection they were reacting to, however, they were both standing up & caught my attention. Over the years it is interesting to note the hair styles of these 2 ladies have changed. Diane started out with hair down just past her ears & Nathalie started out with a short pixie type hair style. Now, Diane has blond hair & the pixie cut style while Nathalie has changed to a long hair style. hmmm, long hairdo & playing long hair music? <g>

How old am I? Well one month after I was born, Hitler invaded Poland. You do the math.
Had a wonderful lunch yesterday with my eldest son and his two children. The two year old was adorable. She had to show off her yellow dress with bees on it. Insisted on holding my hand when we crossed the parking lot. Grandkids are wonderful.
They gave me two Rieu DVDs for my birthday. Unfortunately they were two I already had, but I can exchange them.

Personally, my birthday is January 12, 1965. This is the same day exactly as the death of Lorraine Hansberry. She wrote, "Raisin in the Sun". She also wrote an array of other human rights related broadway plays and books. Lorraine died January 12, 1965 of pancreatic cancer at age 34.
I took Shirley's quiz and it was fun. You never know what interesting facts await you when you come into this world!

Happy Birthday Remembrance to Leonard Bernstein, born August 25th, 1918. Although he's not on our list, I can't let the day go by without a tribute to him. He was really the first music conductor I had ever seen. Many times we would watch him on TV and I learned so much on his Young People's concerts. Between 1954-1989 his time on TV was sure to catch me watching. I salute you Mr. Bernstein. I remember.

Since that time I bought a DVD player, all of André's DVD's, Mirusia's CD, & attended 3 concerts here in Phoenix.
Lucky for me, I was able to hear you sing your signature song here in Phoenix on 8 Dec 2007 & my memory of you, is as clear as though you sang yesterday.
