Thanks Marilyn. It's everyone working together. I'd been talking with another webmaster about this, presto. (the other webmaster does not run an Andre site, but webmasters many sites professionally) I know Jeanine Ann, Jeff, Virginia, Bill, Marlene and so many others have called & emailed PBS stations and venues to find information.
We will update this page with Pledge & Ticketmaster Dates soon.

Isn't it nice when people work together?  The other webmaster gave me a heads up as they uploaded.  (Pays to be nice and keep a Happy Positive Site!) I didn't have 7 places they did, so it was a big help how they worked together and shared.  And I had emailed many places, called, Jeanine Ann called a lot of places, Virigina helped bring tickets to a more reasonable level and let us know, Jeff was working on venues, Bill has his contacts and shared what he learned.   I just plugged it into the table I had on the website.

Really, anyone who claims it is one person, well, don't believe it for a minute.  It is every one and all fans.

We can all call, email, connect, ask, inquire, and inform.

      Life is Beautiful.

Watch for a BIGGER Table of information currently being developed.  More Information in the works.  Let's everyone take part.  If you know of the pledge dates and amounts send them to us.   We'll check it out and share with All Fans so everyone can be informed and get those concert tickets.

Andre Released his Concert Dates & Venues, so we should all Thank Him !

I see now Andre is coming to Toronto and will be at the Air Canada Centre instead of the Rogers Centre/Skydome. The Air Canada Centre is really nice. I am sure it will be excellent!

I attended the Ottawa concert in May of this year at the same place, the Scotiabank Centre. It again, is a great arena to perform in. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance in May.

I am glad all of you are making plans to get together in the U.S. when he comes your way. I know you are all great fans and love his music. Have an awesome time and keep us all posted here on the site.

You are right, when you all work together you can achieve great things.

You people in the States are just lucky to see Andre somewhere on an annual basis. What a great tour Andre has planned for next year for you. We only have a few short months to wait now for our first ever tour here and the excitement is building. But we can only dream of the coverage Andre gives to the US and it will never happen here like that. The Stadium Tour that Andre is bringing here is really the only way I feel that Andre can do it in this country. We simply do not have the population to support it in Concert Venues. Outside our 7 State Capital cities, you can count on your fingers the regional cities with 100,000 population or more. We only have 22 million in the whole country. Our Entertainment Centres in the Capitals are good, but in my opinion do not lend themselves to Andre type concerts, so I cannot ever seeing Andre take that path.
So maybe after this tour, we might see Andre again in 3-4 years in another Stadium type tour, They are so much to organise and you have the elements to contend with all the time. I just pray that the weather will be kind to us in November/December as this is the start of our summer storm season. Unfortunatly Andre can not come at any other time of the year as all these venues Football Stadiums and are in full use from February (pre-season) through to October (Finals Time). However, having said all that, the ticket sales for the upcoming tour are great with only the scraggling tickets left at all concerts. So it all should be a great success, rain, hail or sunshine I will be there for my 2 concerts in front row. Cheers all.

Grayeme, I'm just happy that you are all finally getting to see an André concert in your own country. I'm sure it will be spectacular. Not having been to an arena type concert myself I can only imagine. But I heard glowing reports on the Toronto concert. The World Tour concerts are quite impressive. All that said, and I can understand why not, I think it would be so wonderful to see an André concert in the beautiful Sydney Opera House.I understand it only holds a little over 2,ooo people, but what a lovely place to see a concert or opera. We will all be wishing for favorable weather conditions for all the Australia concerts.

Yes Shirley I agree, the Opera House would be wonderful, but as you say small an intimate. Somewhere, I think it might be on "The Fairytale Episodes 1-6", there is a shot of Andre standing at Circular Quay and looking accross to the Opera House and he comments,'wouldn't that be magic, but alas, it is too small'.

You know Bill…meeting André fans before and/or after a concert adds
so much fun to the actual concert. Being with people who enjoy André

WE can all do so much if everyone would all work together, whether it
be for fun, or other! The “power” of many can do so much, and also
lends that special happy feeling to the concerts!

I would like to make a comment/suggestion about stations who say pledging begins on a certain date. Even if the person on the phone says no presales, don't take it as gospel. Last year I kept calling CT because that's where we wanted to go this year. Finally I said (nicely) that I was worried because other venues in New England were already letting me buy tickets so why not CT? She asked me to hold, came back on the phone and said, "Call Friday and you can get tickets." I don't like being a pain but it pays off sometimes.

I second that. I think it's time to start getting in some good books and movies. I do care about the state of the country, but have no interest in watching the conventions, where people yell and scream for hours. At least with Andre in the house we can yell and scream for joy and in appreciation. But in a couple of minutes, the next piece starts and everyone is perfectly quiet. I vote for making campaigns a maximum of six months. These candidates have been chosen to do jobs which obviously are not that important because, if they were, they would not be able to campaign for months and months. Maybe that's another law -- a senator/representative must be physically at his or her job x days and vote x% of the time in order to keep it. Anyway, I assume the building will be left standing for Andre and fans.

Looks like a lot of the PBS stations have or are going to air Live In Vienna & many will scramble to get "best seats", although I'm curious to see how many will go through ticketmaster. We watched on our own local PBS & they did air the concert but no mention of any 2009 concerts at all, which seems rather strange to me. If people like myself, who when they first saw Andre, never realised he even came to the US at all, wouldn't you think that PBS could at least mention that he would be here in 2009? They will sell his cds for a $75 pledge, or a dvd for $100 pledge, or both for $150 pledge, but yet never mention anything about a tour. I don't understand this. If you're going to spend that much for a pledge, you may as well go to a concert, if only they would let you know about them. That is one thing I don't understand about some of the stations, and even when we've had concerts in our state, our PBS doesn't even mention that either. That is one reason they will not be getting my support.I realize that PBS has helped to promote Andre but I think they could do a better job of it. (just my thoughts in a nutshell).

You are right Shirley, PBS is trying to make money through André but they (some) will not mention his tour.  Our local PBS always pledges for his concert in Reading but I am wondering what they would do if he did not come there.  I still get mail from PBS in Miami and Jacksonville but not being in that area I will not support them unless there is a concert.  I like to support our local PBS though.  I have a good relationship with the pledge administrator and even though they contact past supporters right away for tickets (of course I bug them all the time when I know Andre will be around : ) )  they like the public to wait until pledge time but she did sell tickets to two friends of mine so they are nice that way.  By the way, Nan is coming from Florida to see the concert and Patricia will be coming from N.J. so I did meet Nan and now I will meet Patricia.  That is the nice thing about going to concerts (besides seeing André of course) you get to meet so many nice fans.  Hope everyone has a nice day. And while I'm here, doesn't that Hammerstein Ballroom look like a great place for a concert? I've been reading a little history on it & it's a magnicent place for an Andre concert. I wish we had known about Hammerstein Ballroom earlier. I would probably have skipped NH and flown to NYC. However, even though tempted, feel it's pushing it to do both, what with saving for Maastricht. Also, what if he ends up coming to Central Park? No way I would miss that. By the way, I was just reading "The Economist" and the dollar is creeping up in ratio to the Euro. Hope it keeps going in that direction. Will make everything cheaper. Wouldn't that be nice? I am interested to see what happens next year. I know people (myself included) who are going to fewer concerts because of the price. At some point people are going to say "I won't pay that," at least I think so. We are not that close to any venues here in Maine so it's at least $1000 for two of us. For the price we're paying he'd better put in some new material! Last year was very pleasant but not one single new item. With all the songs in the world I'm sure they can do something new. That's why I want to go to Maastricht because I think we will see new things there (and to see all of you who are going of course). It's getting closer.

    Pre-Sale Code is: VIOLIN

*check with your local venue.  Find out if your tickets are going on sale then as well, and ask for that pre-sale code.

*also try ticketmaster on Oct 1, 2008.  Find out if your tickets are on pre-sale then.

The Ticketmaster tickets actually ended up costing more than I paid for the tickets through the Fresno PBS station...and I was told my seats in Fresno would be somewhere between rows 5 and 15. André is an expensive "hobby" but well worth every cent I can afford to pay, in my opinion.

Have you checked with the venue? Someone there should know where you can get tickets and an approximate date when they go on sale to the public. Don't give up...there's still plenty of time.

Oh boy, I'm gonna see Andre. My sweetie's son lives in Omaha, Nebraska, and we were planning a road trip to visit him and his family. I then found out that Andre would be in Omaha on the 25th of May. Off to TicketMaster and got 2 tickets on the main floor. The venue looks to be much nicer than the one he had last year here in Albuquerque. I think the venue makes a huge difference and the one here was tawdry at best.

As I thought, the venue in Omaha was much nicer than the one in Albuquerque. Carla was, of course, magnificent. I did miss Carmen. Merissa (did I spell this correctly?) did a much better job of "I could have danced all night" than did Suzan. Andre never did introduce the 3rd soprano. Who was she?

I did notice that the JSO looked very tired. I think the schedule was catching up with them. Many of the men needed shaves and the women looked tired - even the usually energetic Manoe.

Since the concert was on Memorial Day I expected more patriotic music. The did play "God Bless America" very movingly. I would liked to hear "Stars and Stripes Forever" and the Glenn Miller tunes. The Andre Sisters would have been nice too.

My sweetie was suitably impressed by Andre and the JSO. It was a very enjoyable performance - well worth the 1000 mile trip. (BTW if anyone is going to Dodge City, KS, I can recommend a very good B&B there.) I did get to waltz with my sweetie, but only after tripping over some chairs and ending up on the floor. Very embarrassing.

My biggest complaint was that the Stand that sold the Rieu goodies closed very early and I couldn't get some of the things I wanted. I'll just have to order them from his web site.

All in all it was a wonderful concert and experience for me and my sweetie.
