ANDRE RIEU for Breakfast

Not many things make Lang Park look small.

But the set for André Rieu's concert is so big, it takes up half of the stadium.

Breakfast reporter Rebecca Levingston took a look behind the scenes as the last minute preparations are made for tonight's concert.

One replica Austrian castle, two ice rinks, two water fountains, a golden coach pulled by six white horses and hundreds of dancers and muscians have tumbled into Brisbane as part of the Andre Rieu World Stadium Tour.

Make no mistake, this show is big.

220 shipping containers of steel, concrete, statues and flowers were flown from Europe to build a replica of the Castle of Schönbrunn here in Brisbane.

Over the last week a crew of 120 have been constructing the elaborate set under the watchful eye of Production Manager Horst von Estorff.

"We are setting the steel construction for three days and two days for the decoration and for the production to get in. Then we have the concert days and for the load out we need another two days."

Horst is a big fan of Andre Rieu, so that makes his incredibly busy job very satisfying.

"He is the only one who can do this kind of music and this kind of performance. It's not only a music show. It's like cinema.

Angels flying, gold coaches arriving with the fountains and everything. It's really like cinema, believe me."

Andre Rieu will perform in Brisbane for two nights in front of an audience of 25,000 people each night.
