Peggy's Concert Report ANDRE RIEU At The Karlsruhe

The concert in Karlsruhe was great!! André and his orchestra were in a very good mood and they had a lot of fun on stage! The audience in Karlsruhe was also fantastic, so we all had a very nice evening!

After the concert we went to the bus, but we were not the only fans who were waiting for André. About 30 people were there. It was a very cold night and we thought that André would leave the hall in a few minutes, but no way. We waited about an hour and 45 minutes for André! In the meantime some people had gone home and when André came out of the hall, there were only about 10 people among us left waiting for him.

André and Johan came to the fans and he began to give autographs, it was so great to see him! And then it happened! ... André began to autograph the new cards for us! After he gave us the cards, I gave him two pictures that I had taken a few days ago in Duesseldorf. Before I gave him the pictures I said to him, "Mr. Rieu I know you haven't much time, but it would be great if you could sign this picture." And he signed it, and one for my girlfriend! I said to him, that I took the picture in Duesseldorf and he said, " Ah okay!" After he gave the autographs I thanked him and he walked to the bus.

André looked right into my eyes when he gave me the autographs and I was very nervous but also very happy!!!

It was one of the best concerts I ever saw and I love the new program! Now I must wait for Maastricht to see André and his orchestra again!

KARLSRUHE is 35 km from my home town Baden-Baden. I think I will try to get tickets either for Dresden, Nürnberg, Kempten or Bamberg, because the concerts are at the time I will go to Germany to visit my kids and to go to a miniature show, where ever I will get the best seats I will go. Would be nice to see him at home again.
Inge I think some of Andre's best concerts are in Germany. He loves to perform there.
I agree, Sally, that is what I have always thought. His Concerts in Germany and Vienna are among my favorites.
Thank you Peggy & Jeanine Ann. I love to look at all the pictures, but better than that I like to hear the personal story of a particular concert. Each person's experience is different, even at a same concert. I see the girls are wearing new dresses, at least they are new to me. Great story Peggy.
Beautiful report. Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us.
How nice to have your pictures autographed by André! I hope I'll have one someday ...
I'll go to Maastricht next July too. I'm very excited, I got the ticket at last minute for one of his new concert dates. I don´t know a word of dutch or german so I won´t understand any comment from him on stage but I really don´t care. The music, the place and his own magic is enough to be happy.
Thanks again for your report and pictures. Love & Hugs.
Thank you Peggy! I loved reading your report...I enjoyed your excitement about the autograph and being so close to André, his smile and his looking into your eyes. Eye contact is so rewarding!
Thank you for sharing! It's always fun reading about a new concert!
Speaking of eye contact Marlene : ) - I took this in Miami. It does feel great to get that eye contact.
NO LUCK HERE! I DANCED, WALTZED, STARTED THE CONGA, NO GLANCE. MAYBE JUST A FUNNY LOOK, ONE EYEBROW PULLED UP, WHO IS THIS CRAZY LADY?
I'm laughing Moderator Piano, I'd be happy with that funny look with one eyebrow pulled up...I'd take anything I could get!
Nice Jeanine Ann, this is great eye contact!
IT WAS BECAUSE, I DID DANCE A CSARDAS, WHILE CARLA WAS SINGING, AND NATURALLY DANCING. I WAS ON MY OWN, CRAZY LADY?
That's make everyone feels special, like if he is playing only for you.
A very beautiful picture Jeanine Ann.
Thank you for share it with us.
