With all the beautiful violin music Miss Merchen gives to us-Andres fans-she deserves to return home to a nice beautiful relaxing garden, and to enjoy-sipping on a cool Pena Conlada; I hope she wins. We all need to petition Andre to give Miss Els a good raise$$$ so she could afford a Goldfish Coy pond, I know the Dutch love to swallow those fish raw! I have seen Andre do it! To each there own I say! Ha,Ha.-Just a thought. The best to Miss Mercken. Kyle S. USA

If you want to vote for Els click here:

    http://www.wineentuin.be/tuin/71

Scroll down the page until you see a big green check mark followed by: Stem op deze tuin

Click on: Stem op deze tuin

In the first blank space, enter your email address.

In the 2nd blank space, enter your phone #

In the 3rd blank space .. try placing any number

Look a little lower & enter the two words you see

Now click on: Stemmen (which means, vote)

You will now get an email. You must click on the very long URL, this confirms your vote which will now be counted.

I hope I've got this straight for everyone else, like me, that doesn't read or speak, Dutch

    Hello everybody,

I'm really gratefull for all your efforts. I will contact the competition-webmaster to ask about the votingproblems. If you do as Bill wrote, there should be no problem. There are two links in the mail: a very short one "hier" and the long one.The competition ends the 16th of mai. Of course you may forward the link
http://www.wineentuin.be/tuin/71 to all of your contacts....I need about 500 more votes I think to win for sure....
    Thank you all very much!

Thanks, Els , for letting everyone know the voting goes until 16 May .

For everyones benefit ...... Els plays violin, usually wears a blue gown, is blond, & is the screamer...think back to the song Fierfest, the number with the anvil, remember Noel, the french horn player trying to hide his instrument under the skirt of one of an orchestra members.....It was Els skirt that Noel was trying to hide his French horn under.

Hopefully, you will now have a mental image of Els, the person you will be voting for.

I looked at all the things people said to Els on the voting site, most were in a foreign language & I didn't have time to translate the messages, however, I did notice one reply from Liesbeth Mercken.......I wonder if Liesbeth is a sister or mother? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hopefully, I'll have time in a day or 2,
to add a photo of Els, that I took during the 2006 concert here in Phoenix

BTW, Els....I just tried to vote again using an entirely different email address & I also got this message after clicking on the very long link to confirm my email address:

    De Code is niet correct

I will forward the voting link to my friends as soon as I know the voting problem has been fixed

    Hello everyone,

I think that the voting website is OK now ( or at least it was for awhile).

After much frustration of getting "De Code is niet correct "

2 days ago I used my other email address but never got the confirmation email, until today.

    And the link WORKED !!!!!!!

    Here it is:

    http://www.wineentuin.be/deelnemer/nieuwestem/71/049db1e5608b69495c2a1257f7866e10

Then I tried again using "old" email address and it did NOT work.

I'm not sure how it all works but at least i had one success.

    Hugs to all.
  • May 2, 2009 Marlene Warren wrote:
Well, I did vote three times and each time it came back "De Code is niet correct". Not speaking Dutch, I thought it meant that it has not gone through, but because it happened all three times, I figured I was reading it wrong.
So, after Jolanta said she did the same, I've used another email address and voted again, and hopefully it won't say "neit" this time.
    We shall see.

Sally, the webmommie of this website,  will be at the concert, we'll all be sitting on the front row of the center section

I've sent out an email to all my friends, hopefully that will translate into another 50-75 more votes for Els

I've actually spoken to Els, way back in Dec 2005, however, I'm hoping she won't remember  <g>  Actually I mis-identified her with another member of the orchestra....nahhhh, surely she wouldn't remember something that happened so long ago, would she? <g>

Sadly, <Bill hangs his head in sorrow> we don't know Els birthday <Month & Day>.  We like to wish JSO members a happy Birthday on their BDay; can you help us out, Liesbeth?
