The King of Waltz is bringing his classical music spectacular to the Valley on Tuesday.

Dutch violinist, conductor and composer Andre Rieu performs with his famous Johann Strauss Orchestra at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jobing.com Arena, 9400 W. Maryland Ave., Glendale.

Best known for reviving the popularity of the waltz, a dance seen regularly on TV’s “Dancing With the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” Rieu is among the top 20 touring acts in the world. Billboard magazine named him the No. 1 Top Selling Classical Artist of 2008 in the United States, and his most recent DVD, “Live in Australia,” outsold live releases by Pink and AC/DC in the U.S.

Now on his 30th anniversary tour, Rieu plans to fill his characteristically warm and entertaining concerts with the highlights from three decades of classical music.
