Andre Rieu - A Tribute To Michael Jackson in Maastricht

In a tribute to Michael Jackson André Rieu plays the song "Ben" written by Michael.  This was during the concerts at Maastricht, 2009.  Thanks to Arie Bussemaker for this video.

The following is a link to the original performance by Michael Jackson of the Jackson Five when the song was nominated at the 45th Academy Awards in 1973 for best song in the movie "Ben" and is introduced by Charlton Heston.

Thanks for the video Arie. I had seen the original one done by Michael Jackson years ago. The song "Ben" was always very special to me as my grandfather's name was Ben.

It was the silence at th end of the "Earth Song", before the tumultuous applause, that touched me so deeply. Everyone within listening distance of the Vrijthof paid tribute to Michael Jackson. Thanks again André & Marjorie for your perceptive choices in every programme you, J.S.O & guest artists present. Our world is a finer place because of your contributions
