None other than Andre Rieu reported Monday, August 10 to the residents of the village of Herwen Berkhaag to award the prize for the winners of the National Postcode Lottery.  They could not believe their eyes when suddenly Andre Rieu was at the door with a check.  Gaston Starreveld of Herwen won a new BMW.  A total of 137,500 Euros was spread over 8 households (note: not sure if this means 8 houses or 8 blocks of houses) those who participated in the Postcode Lottery.  Dinie Wiley Green also got a brand new BMW worth 30,000 Euros.  Now the old Daihatsu Cuore can go to the scrap pile.

Andre Rieu was accompanied by a battalion of press and cameras as he made his way through the streets of many happy winners. They knew something special was happening in their neighborhood.  Mrs. Drika Schieven in one moment was 12,500 Euros richer.  I cannot believe it says one man shaking his head.  Most residents awarded the prizes gave congratulations to the neighbors on the odd and even house numbers of Berkhaag.

The TV broadcast of the Postcode street prize is probably set for Sunday, August 30 at 9:15 PM.
