Andre Rieu is currently the biggest musical export product of the Netherlands. Not so crazy that he occasionally gets some privileges. So this weekend was the violinist police escort.
Andre had two performances this weekend in Heerenveen Thialf. An observant viewer emailed us that after the concert Sunday a car under police escort drove from the stadium. The viewer wondered what had happened and why visit Andre.
But what is clear, Rieu had a television appearance in the Belgian program "Villa Thilt" where he was going. In order to get to the highway the police helped the musician get to where the filming was to be.
"I'm about twenty minutes on TV at Villa Thilt. Heereveen Hasselt is 2.5 hours. Friesland thanked police for help," said Andre on his Twitter.
