2010 Vrijthof Concert Ticket Sales

MAASTRICHT (Reuters) - In 2010, Violinist and Conductor Andre Rieu will again hold outdoor concerts in his native town of Maastricht on the Vrijthof.

Together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra concerts are scheduled for Friday July 16, Saturday July 17 and Sunday, July 18. The sales for the concerts will start Friday, a spokeswoman for the musician said Wednesday.

The traditional summer evening concerts in Maastricht, have quickly sold out every year .. The success of the concerts, bring many traders trying to sell tickets at inflated prices on the black market. Andre Rieu is upset about this and warns fans::: "People sometimes pay two or three times too much for tickets. Scandalous! We can not emphasize enough that people can purchase the cheapest tickets when they purchase the official presale addresses".
