Andre Rieu Fans September 11 Eight Years Later
We Will Never Forget
September 11, 2001
On the above date almost 3,000 lives were taken by terrorists who place no value on a human life. Eight years later we remember the worst day in the history of America.
Many people from all over the world have visited this hallowed ground including our friend and Maestro André Rieu.
"America, Let Hope Remain"

9/11 is a day that I will never forget. I know that no one else can or will forget it.
I could go into all the "how can anyone do this to innocent people?" but I won't because we all ask that question...we all ask the "why's" and wonder what can possess a human being to be so cruel and full of hate, to the point of taking a life or so many lives.
It's said that we eventually will have to pay for any bad thing we have done to another person, so I rest with peace in my heart knowing that.
The tragedy is as clear today as it was on the day it happened, I can still see the plane going into the towers, and even though I was not there to see it in person, I felt it's impact with dis-belief as if I was standing beneath them at that moment in time.
Yes, our hearts go out to those who lost their friends, family, loved ones and those who risked their lives saving so many innocent people from the tragedy that unfolded on that day.
To all those directly affected, know that my heart and prayers are with you always. No one should have to go through this.
To all those indirectly affected, which in my opinion is everyone else, may we always find the strength to overcome fear and sorrow and any hate we may have, for these are not good for us.
With everything I feel deep in my heart and soul, I pray that nothing like this will ever happen again, to any one or to any nation.
September 11, my brother's birthday, it's always been filled with mixed emotions on this day since 9/11, however, we try to make it a very happy day. My uncle also passed away last year, on this day. My family was in disbelief that another tragedy happened on this day.
However, we all have a lot to live for, to be happy about. I will do my best to make September 11th a day of celebration for all that is good in life.
Thanks for listening.
Words of wisdom Marlene. That is why we should not let hate in our hearts. Hate only destroys, not only ourselves but those around us.
Today I choose to focus on the innocent victims. There were 2,996 who died that day,not only at the World Trade Center, but the Pentagon, Shanksville, Ameican Airlines flights 11,77,93,& 175. I especially remember the firefighters & rescue teams. I guess there are not enough words for any of us to express all that we felt on that day or in the years since on this date, but I think it's important to remember. There may be generations to come that may not know unless the memories are preserved.
Really Marlene, as usual, your words are right on & eloquently written. Thank you.
Very "beautifully" written Marlene. Such
a sad time in History. One is left to wonder why man is turning against one another ~ why, what for????
