It's Not Adieu To Andre Rieu At WGBH

It's not adieu to Rieu at PBS station WGBH

DearWrite to Know: What has happened to Andre Rieu? For many years, heappeared on PBS during "Viewer Favorites" or for special programs atholiday time. All of a sudden, we haven't heard from him and verydearly miss him and his music.

Is it possiblefor the station to do re-runs? So many folks miss that type of music, and we need more classical programming. Thanks for the help you havegiven us over the years.

DearE.L.B.: WGBH has not abandoned Andre Rieu, according to a spokesman atthe Boston station, but his programs are usually aired during pledgeperiods, and ticket offers for his upcoming concerts in the area aretied in with fund raising.

Lately, there havebeen no new Rieu concerts, nor any scheduled in Boston, but don't giveup hope yet. There may possibly be one during the December pledgeperiod.
