Geraldine and I went to the Mitcham Cinema on Friday night to see the
Sydney concert and it was WOW, great, full of fun and excitement and we
are really looking forward to seeing them all in person on Monday night.
I do not know how many that theatre holds, but I would say that it was
three quarters full of a very appreciative audience. I had noticed on
the internet last week that some cinemas were in fact Sold Out. We were
surprised when we heard on Friday, that he would be returning next year,
as he seems to have a very hectic schedule, which I believe includes
South America and South Africa.

This is not a criticism, but we did think that Mirusia struggled with Memory  (Suzan's song) and also appeared to miss the first note of Waltzing Matilda.
However, having said that, it may have been the way the sound was coming
through the Theatre, because it also sounded as if the Platin Tenors missed
the first note in the reprise of  "On the way to Chez Maxims".  Apart from
that it was a fantastic concert.  Sami Lukas, the young lady who introduced
the concert and interviewed him when he came off stage at the end was very
good and was most polite when speaking to him.

 Cheers
 Delma

This is a P.S. to my report
I inadvertently omitted to say that Alan Jones did a very moving version,
(well we thought it was) of "You are, We are Australians" and Andre and the
whole orchestra obviously enjoyed Dame Edna. That was a real hoot. The young
lad, Barry Humphries grandson, Rupert, played the violin beautifully. He is
 a real talent.

I went to the cinema at Mitcham with my husband Peter & grandson
 Thomas (8 yrs).

It was almost full & was really an absolutely wonderful concert. Tom
was the only child there & clapped after each performance. I thought the audience
was quite subdued but towards the end joined in some of the Aussie songs. Sammi Lucas
(the host of Cinema Live) interviewed Andre after the show & that's when we heard
he would be back next year. We sat with Delma & Geraldine Sandercock & they like
 us had a great night.

 Regards
 Jan

Thank you for taking the time & effort to report on your theatre experience.

Everyone, throughout the entire world, wants to know what you thought of the concert.

Aussies are lucky to know Andre & the JSO will be returning in 2010.

Yesterday we received the DVD "I lost my Heart in Heidelberg" and all I can say is FANTASTIC. It was just fantastic. To see Andre and the Orchestra, soloists, The Platin Tenors and the gentlement from Berlin having such a wonderful time was great. The scenery was also fabulous. Another DVD to add to our collection - we can't get enough of this wonderful person and his Orchestra. We are now eagerly waiting for our DVD "Live in Sydney" to be delivered. We are now counting the days until the October 2010 concert here in Adelaide. We were lucky enough to do the "Day with Andre" back in October 2009 and to have met him and his Orchestra will live with us for a long time. We have our photos that we had taken with Andre framed and on show in our house.
Roll on October 2010 and more concerts.
