This has got to be the most unique & exciting welcoming ceremony I've ever seen. I had to go learn about it & the Maori people. What an interesting subject it is. I saw a video of the powhiri & I have to tell you the first part of the ceremony where the Maori advance towards the guest could be somewhat frightning if you didn't understand what was going on. I am very impressed with this different culture I'd never heard of before. And before I forget, happy concert Reuben!

Looks like our Kiwi cousins gave Andre a great traditional welcome. The Maori songs and dances are both beautiful and exciting to watch and listen to. I hope there's a news report on TV about it today, would love to see exactly how it was. Am sure Andre and the JSO would have loved it.

Thanks Shirley! Both concerts were absolutely awesome! It's so unbelievable to see the person from the TV so, so close in real life! They performed excellently on both nights! It was so exciting! I'm sure André enjoyed it as much as everyone in the audience did. By far, the highlight of the year for me.
