(wvia) - AndreRieu hasn't even finished his worldwide "30th Anniversary tour", but he already confirms North American tour dates for 2010. Once again, Rieu has teamed up with WVIA for a concert in northeast Pennsylvania. Rieu will appear in concert at Wachovia Arena on June 21, 2010 for a 7:30p.m. performance.

Rieu, together with his 55 piece JohannStrauss Orchestra, will return to North America for a 21-city run that starts in June.  The first leg of the tour includes 10 dates in the northeast and Midwest.  Rieu will be back in November and December 2010 for 11 more dates on the West Coast and in Florida.

The 2010 tour will be very special. Says Rieu: "Next year will be the"Celebration of Music Tour". I always say that music is the most wonderful thing in the world. Music triggers emotions. I want to bring an ode to waltzes and polkas that bring joy, to romantic ballads and to many more beautiful melodies. It will be a very special night".

Rieu is an avid supporter of Public Television. The cooperation between PBS and Rieu dates back more than 15 years. "Public Television is one of the few outlets nowadays where classical music receives the attention that it deserves", according to Rieu.  "By making the best tickets available to their donors I want to show my appreciation".

Andre Rieu is the world's most successful male touring artist of the first half of 2009, according to Billboard magazine.  The leading music industry publication has published an overview of the 25 best selling tours and Rieu ranked number 4.  With 554,242 tickets sold and $57.4 million in gross revenue, only Madonna, Tina Turner and Britney Spearshad more revenues coming in.  Billboard also ranked Rieu as the number 1 classical artist of 2008.
