Andre Rieu And His Grandkids In Miniature - Inge Cossette

Opa Rieu and his grandkids, along with  Carla and Manoe went to Australia as a gift and in memory of Ken Manning the best Miniature-Instrument maker who died in March at age 88.  He was an André Rieu fan;  that is why I made André in his box with his violin.  More details on the miniatures below the photos.

The small photo next to André is Ken Manning, I have no bigger one from him.   The one from Marc is also from the twitter, I only made it smaller for my minis. The dolls are all made by me in this room box.

The babies that are in André's arm and on the floor, are made by a Swiss artist, ONE OF A KIND and are made before André became grandpa, but I used them to pose with him, babies look in that age cute, no matter who are the parents.

I made André in the room box from Ken Manning because he was an André fan. In the same room box are paintings on the left from a Dutch artist , all are done from Munich buildings, on the other side are an edging from Joseph Winkelman, an original, my daughter bought it in London,  it is the Tower bridge;  the peacock is stitched by me also the carpet.;  the furniture is one of a kind;  the left commode by Herbillion Paris,  the one on the right painted by Gayle Baillargeon, a Canadian, the writing desk and the chandelier are from 2 British artists,  the rest is made by me.  The instruments Ken Manning made , are:  an Amati Bass, a cello, a violin, a Ukrainian balalaika and a lute.

Inge, I think Ken Manning is looking down and very pleased with this beautiful room to his memory.
What a marvelous job you did to capture the spirit of music, and the joy it brings.
I also notice the cats & dog, which of course we would not be complete without.
And... those 3 new grandbabies ... Ivan, Lieke & Linde ! Triple Bonus Beauty!

Thanks girls! Yes Sally Ken would be proud, because when I sent him pictures from the JSO and his instruments, he was so happy about it. He was not only a great artist, his instruments are exactly like the one in real size, the tiny violin is lacquered l5 times, just like Stradivarius did. He was also a great guy, loved to chat with him on the phone.

Hilda, the woman in the room box does not represent a person I know. From Marjorie I saw not enough pictures to make her as doll, if it was a room box for André alone, I would have put French poodles and boxers in it, but I love cats, haaaaaaaa, of course I love all animals.
Shirley, yes I do use tweezers a lot. I hope my eyesight and my arthritis in my hands let me still do this for a long time.

    Thank you Jeanine Ann!
