Andre On Flikken
Please click on the link to see Andre on the Dutch show Flikken. This video is available from TROS. When you get to the page, on the right under audio/video click on the first video which is labeled 29/01/2010) The video was moved.
Due to the fact that we have no one to translate a video for us, I watched this video and will give a short synopsis of the episode. This will give you an idea of what is happening.
In the beginning you will see a little girl playing in her yard and is approached by a man who persuades her to go with him to see a nice little dog. A speeding car is stopped by a police patrol. They search the car and find a photo of Andre and a list of his employees. They also find an explosive element called Semtex. The man is arrested and interrogated but of course he knows nothing.
In the meantime Andre is walking toward the Museum in Maastricht to view one of the famous Faberge Eggs which he was instrumental in persuading the owner of the museum to exhibit. There he meets up with Bertrand (whom he knows) and together they go into the exhibit. Bertrand is the man who took the little girl in the beginning of the show.
Eva agrees to visit Andre's castle and talk with his guard Bruno since they suspect that there may be a threat to Andre since his photo was in the folder found in the car. Bruno cannot help Eva since he knows of no threat to Andre or his group. When pressed by her to think of anything that can be of help, he mentions an over-zealous fan who lives in Germany by the name of Andrea Kursch who had written a letter saying that if Andre does not meet her she will blow herself up and Andre with her. This was just dismissed as a crazy fan threat. Eva and Wolfs visit Andre at rehearsal and show him the folder with his folder and the list of employees. Andre is perplexed and knows of no threats against him. He also says he will never cancel the concert in spite of all that is happening.
At concert time Wolfs and Eva are still concentrated on the over-zealous fan and are looking all over the Vrijthof for her. Wolfs decides to call her parents and is surprised to find that she is a patient in a psychiatric hospital and could not be in Maastricht nor could she have written the threatening letter. Wolfs confronts Bruno and he admits that he forged the letter and tells Wolfs that his daughter was taken (the little girl in the beginning of the show) and that Bruno must do as they say which includes writing the letter from the fan thus creating a diversion while the real intent was to steal the Faberge Egg.
Meanwhile Andre is concentrating on his concert and at break time he goes backstage and is shocked to find Eva laying on the ground (the burglars had hit her over the head while breaking into the museum). He went over to her and quickly got on the walkie-talkie and contacted Wolfs who arrived in time to catch the thieves.
This is in essence the plot and I must say that Andre did very well and now can add "actor" to his resumé. I hope this helps as you watch the story.

Well, the plot sounds a lot more interesting than the acting spot Andre had in "Neighbours".
Nice looking actor too...
zehr gut liebe André.Better performance than the tasting of the Vegemite but we love you anyway!!!
Yes saw this on NED 1 in the hotel the night before the DUSDELDORF concert, did not understand the words, but got the idea of the story, Andre was good, but then he does have practice at his concerts! and the DUSSELDORF concert was just F A N T A S T I C !
not keen on Michael Jackson's stuff, but Andre's working of the "Earth Song" with all the children on stage dressed in white, and everything brought tears to my eyes, it was stunning, as was the whole show!
Hi Jeanine, Thank you for thisd & the story, it's great.
