Andre Rieu - Geelong Friendship Group First Meeting
Hi All,
Welcome to our 1st report of the Geelong Andre Rieu Friendship Group. What a fantastic start to our new group on Saturday 13th March. There were 6 of us who attended and a great time was had by all . Attending the meeting was myself, Jenni, Dorothy, Margaret, Nola and Elizabeth. Right from the beginning the conversation went into full swing about our much loved maestro Andre. Everyone was able to share their knowledge about Andre, Marjorie and JSO as well as our various concert experiences. Between all of us we were able to cover all the Melbourne concerts last year.
It was also agreed that our venue 'The Deck' restaurant was perfect for our needs which offered us both privacy and fantastic food at very reasonable prices. At this point in time it is likely that this venue will become the meeting place for our group. We also agreed that we will meet once a month which will allow us to fit the meetings in with the commitments we already have in our very busy lives.
At our next meeting I'll be bringing along my trusty laptop so we will be able to watch some Andre and JSO dvd's which will give us the opportunity to enjoy them together. We will also welcoming Freeda and her husband Roy as well as 4 of their friends next time this means we will be doubling our numbers. This is going to be a great achievement for what will be just our 2nd meeting and we hope that this increase in numbers will continue in the future!! We will also love to see all of you who are interested in joining us we're sure that you will have a fantastic time and made to feel most welcomed.

Hi Ya Shirley and Max,
Yep we are off and running finally it took a while but we eventually got there in the end. We did have heaps of fun Shirley and now we have all made some really great new Andre friends. Of course Franco got a mention you know I couldn't resist that hahaha. Wish you could have joined us Shirley minus any huntsmans hahaha. Hey I just realised Shirley that you now hold the honor of being the very first post for our group how's that!! Dear Max I sooooo wish you could have been there you would have loved it hopefully at our next one in April. I would love to catch up with you in person. I'm glad you liked the pics Max but OMG when I saw them I thought watch out diet and exercise here I come hahaha. Ah well better get going this Andre and Franco tragic is all worn out.
