This doll was made by Inge Cossette for Carla Maffioletti's Godmother.  Isn't it just gorgeous!

This is Carla's response. . . .

    Hello, Everybody !!!!!!
This doll is really cute. But that is not all Inge makes. You should see all her "Rooms" with different people and kinds of decorations. Very detailed work and just beautiful. More power to you, Inge!
    Best wishes,
    Hermina

I knew she would love the doll. I really love that picture of her singing the mein herr marquis, the costume is excellent. And wow, when she hit's that last note, I expect all the windows to blow out! What an amazing voice she has. I'm glad the godmother liked the doll too. You do an amazing work Inge .Your mini's are very realistic.

Hallo Hermina, nice to hear from you again, Shirley that "Mein Herr Marquis" dress I have not tackled yet, every other one I did from her, my favorite is the Countess or Gräfin Mariza, but I will try the Adele from Fledermaus or the Bat, as soon as I have figured out how to make the peacock feathers. I have stitched them in 4O count, but as you know the real feathers are too big, so if I take brown small feathers and paint the eye of the peacock on them, perhaps that will work, it will be a challenge for next winter, haaaaaaaa!

oh yes, the countess, that's a beautiful one too & you got that one perfect. I imagine the feathers will be a challenge, but I'll bet you can do it.I have a friend who paints scenes on feathers & then frames them. She gave me a couple before she died. It is such delicate work too, to paint that tiny.

Lovely Inge! Carla has such an astounding voice in her petite body - a very rare talent. I certainly hope she will come to South Africa in March 2011. We're waiting to welcome you Carla!
