Andre Rieu - Geelong Friendship Group Meeting June, 2010
Hi All,
I must apologise for this is very brief report on our May meeting which should have been posted a lot earlier last month. However my life has been somewhat hectic and chaotic at the moment so this has meant that unfortunately other matters had to take precedence.
What another fantastic group meeting this month with 5 new members. In attendance were myself, Jenni, Margaret, Lyn and Mark, Jean and Tony and Barry. Unfortunately we learned that Barry's wife was unable to attend as she is unwell we all hope she has a very speedy recovery and is able to join us soon!
Of course, there was as usual lots and lots of chatter about our much loved maestro Andre and well I have to admit some talk of a certain Italian double bass player. Well I couldn't let any meeting go by without a mention of Franco. We also talked about some of the other JSO members as well which was great to learn more about them.
At the meeting it was decided that we would NOT be holding a meeting in JULY instead we will be attending the live broadcast of the Andre Rieu Live in Maastricht concert (July 18th) and afterward have a meal together. I am so pleased that we will be attending this event together as it has always been an aim that the members of our group would be able to get together to attend some Andre events.
Our next meeting will be held indoors at the restaurant due to the cold weather which means that we should have no problems playing one of Andre's fantastic DVD's. What a wonderful addition to our future meetings!

I run the Geelong group along with another lady Jenni. I am so sorry I haven't responded to your message sooner, however my laptop has been out of action. We would love you to join our group. Unfortunately email addresses can't be displayed here for obvious reasons. However we would absolutely love to have you join us at our next meeting. The details are above and the meeting is next Saturday the 12th. I'm so sorry that there won't be enough time to send you my email address. If you are able to come I can give it to you then as well as a contact number. If you can't attend this week just post a message here to Jeanine Anne asking her to forward your email address to me. Also in case you were not aware there will be no July meeting as we are attending the direct satellite coverage of Andre's Maastricht concert. We are going as a group and you are more than welcome to join us there as well. It is always handy to remember that we meet the 2nd Saturday of each month. Anyway must fly hope to see you next Saturday!!
