Andre & I have been on the riding mower this morning. Only one problem, when he plays Blue Danube the mower wants to go in circles!
Needless to say, the lawn looks great & it was done in no time, thanks to my friend. haha

Hi Jeanine Ann & ladies, I looked back to May when JA re posted MARINA for us (this one's not on You Tube as far as I can see). Got to admit, that the 'come here and join me' gesture of the hands is more exciting than the current post (even though Andre always entertains us at his current best). Jeanine Ann Oh dear what a way to start the day in my email I had the advert. for the Maastricht concert to the cinemas,beautiful add. then I click on here my week is made,there is nothing Andre' plays that is not beautiful, Ben is such a lovely piece nothing could remind us of Micheal [I'm not a M.J. fan] like Ben who could have imagined a boy singing a song to His pet rat, would be played On a Violin,A Stradiverious? by such a famous Man so beautifully that it makes us cry, my cup runneth over,then your videos thank you kind lady I'm all set for the weekend now, with photos videos music from the magicial Man . xo. Both my CD player & DVD player died (or at least went on strike with either sound or visual options) as you know. I hope to go shopping 'very soon' for both - either K Mart, Big W, Target or Aldi! I've only been able to 'see' my Andre DVD's - no sound-or vice versa!!! I need to totally spoil myself one weekend very soon.... a whole weekend with Andre! - oh, my..........good 2 C that Andre still holding third place in votes (only third to music icons of many years past & now deceased). This is an honour for Andre, and as much as I respect the works of Elvis & Michael (not a great fan but loved some of their music)...Andre has been 'alive & active' in all his pursuits whilst the others, unfortunately are no longer with us. I make this 'personal' comment with the utmost respect. I don't feel that 'post-humous' equates to the same thing as 'living & giving' during the honour/voting period.

It is not often that I put an entry in the Guestbook. You certainly know that one can easily spend a whole day on the computer without too much progress. Therefore, I amassed a whole backlog in our house which needs to get taken care of day by day.
However, today I thought I could not postpone a little message any longer and would like to wish everybody known or unknown a really good and healthy time, until we hear from each other again.

Christine, thanks for the go ahead,we live in Toongabbie,Sydney Australia, funny everytime I put Toongabbie on I get a red line Underneath, maybe its foriegn to the computer; I also noticed on stage when His Beautiful Self is doing the marina we see a silent add, it would seem Andre' is using Dell computers on stage, clever Man , ours too is Dell I even notice The Commomwealth Bank use them as well,but it's the first time I've noticed that with Andre' good filming Jeanine Ann, & yes He did do something different with His Hands He gave two little waves, maybe it was a signal for something that was on next, He seems to do that at times He flaps His Jacket,other times He rubs His nose, He seems to have lots of signals
Good morning lovely ladies from a wet UK. Looks like summer on hold today but we do need the rain for the poor parched gardens. I still can't book tickets for Andre's Maastricht concert at my cinema Don't know what is happening.Oh well just have to keep looking every day and hope for the best

Ladies I have just been watching the football match. for those of you who don't already know The Netherlands beat Brazil 2-1. Our Maestro being such a patriotic man i'm sure he will be quite happy to know that his country now go into the semi-finals of the World Cup. Don't you think so? Hugs for everybody.

Just watched the world soccer cup game NETHERLAND -Brasilia, WELL, THE TEAM FROM ANDRÉ WON AGAINST THE TEAM FROM CARLA AND CARMEN 2-1 ANDRÉ WILL BE HAPPY, BECAUSE 4 YEARS AGO HE SAID THE DUTCH TEAM HAVE GOOD PLAYERS BUT THEY DO NOT PLAY AS A TEAM, WELL THIS TIME THEY DID IT!!! THEY ADVANCED TO THE SEMI FNALS.

HI JAN, NEITHER AM I A FOOTBALL FAN, I ACTUALLY HATE TEAM SPORTS, I LOVE INDIVIDUAL SPORTS LIKE: SKATING , GYMNASTICS, TENNIS, SWIMMING AND BALLROOM DANCING. THE FIRST GAME IN THIS WORLD CUP I WATCHED WAS THE ONE NETHERLAND AGAINST BRASILIA, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE JSO, TODAY MY NEIGHBOR KNOCKED ON THE DOOR, HE SAID I HAVE TO WATCH GERMANY AGAINST ARGENTINA, THE GERMANS SHOT THEIR FIRST GOAL AFTER ONLY 3 MINUTES AND I WAS SURE, THEY WOULD LOOSE AGAINST ARGENTINA, SO I WATCHED IT AND TO MY SURPRISE, THEY WON 4-0, I AM GETTING EXITED BECAUSE I AM GERMAN, HAAAAAAAAAAAA!
My favorite sport to play, when a kid in school was Basketball ... yet I hate to watch it. In fact, I don't watch or follow it. I watch American Football, but do not follow the teams.
I loved skating. Skated my entire life, and still have Roller Skates to this day. I skated all the time before the hospital paralyzed me. I love to watch Ice Skating on TV. It is so pretty and I enjoy the personalities of the individuals.
Soccer? ugh. Not my thing. No outdoor, no indoor 'crab' soccer. no no no.
I want to thank all of you for the nice comments on my concert report. I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Sally for her help in the background on this. Hi ladies, I voted today as always. So glad to see that our most favourite person (Andre) is holding THIRD place. Given that both Elvis & Michael are no longer with us and had been 'icons' for many years before many of us came to know Andre and his work,his contributions to Society etc., (In saying this, I do honour the works of both Elvis & Michael). I think this is a great, great honour to Andre. I hope that Andre feels the same way as we devoted fans do. XXX

Hi Ladies, Have been reading much about Andre waiting for people to return to seats after intermission. Well at the 02 arena here in UK - people can and do just walk in and out for refreshments during a performance (so i have heard) in which case we'll be there all night..At the Royal Albert and Festival hall if you were not seated during performance you were not allowed back in until there was a break, whether that still applies i'm not sure. So just hoping that at the Andre concert the audience STAY in there seats. It is such a big place (20,000) i just can't imagine you won't have people walking around. Not sure that Andre would be too happy about that - and i wouldn't blame him.xx Come on you Orange win the world cup for Andre. (I can say that now us English are out)

As for coming and going during a performance of any sort I agree with Kay It is the height of bad manners and unless I was absolutely desperate I would never think of leaving. I can understand Andre being upset about people returning late from the intervalas it is very rude Dare I say that the majority of Andre's audience are mature like myself and do or should have respect for Andre and JSO or any other performer they are enjoying. But I also have to say it is a great shame how manners and values have changed and in most cases not for the better

Hello Josephine and Kay, last time I was at the Arena in Newcastle an annoucement was made that everyone should remain seated until the interval. and a bell rang five minutes before the interval was over and people were asked to return to their seats. Hi Elizabeth. Thats just great. Thats what normally happens in theatres so hope it does in the O2 and I hope people don't leave too soon and miss the wonderful encore. It's a shame people are in so much of a hurry these days. They don't get anywhere any quicker and miss a lot Take care xx

Hi Kay, Fay & others who commented on this. I'd rather be 'way early' than late -it's only good manners, even though one is paying for a ticket. I feel sorry for someone's embarrassment at being late if it was truly unavoidable as you wouldn't imagine paying to see Andre (or anyone else) & purposefully being late. Even though Andre uses a great sense of humour, it's still something very important to his Concert Agenda, the enjoyment of others who are on time - and let's face it...joking or not, would you want to bear the brunt of Andre's scolding (however jocular) amidst thousands of people...I shudeer at the thought! xx

Oh yes Shirley this has brought back such wonderful memeories of when I was about 4yrs old and had an Uncle in the Army. I can picture him now shoe in hand,Kiwi Spit Polish over and over again What a shine he put on those shoes

yes, I remember those days for sure. My husband was in the military too
& I watched him polish those boots til he could see his face in them.
When there was an inspection coming up it took him even longer,
as a normal time might be about an hour, the special times might take hours.
Kiwi & water, an old t-shirt, brushes etc., over & over again.
He sure doesn't do that anymore. Now we have a little brush, sponge type thing
that is pretreated with lemon juice & mink oil. Works fine.
I used to use a little vaseline on my black patent leather shoes, but never wanted to try a spit shine.
Too much work. I wonder who does Andre's shoes?

Talking of people coming & going I frankly feel its the height of bad manners to either leave or return during a performance, unless you are ill, why would you want to miss parts of Andre's concert why did you go In the first place if you need to be in & out; I'm old with a chinese bladder I did'nt move till after the concert finished,I really just don't understand some people, its sooooooo RUDE, unless you have a problem, my spit for the week;!!!!!!!

Fay, I haven't got one yet, but want to. I won't use mine as a keyring either. I have a rotating hologram platform for placing these on. When plugged in, in rotates with 4 different coloured globes & highlights the image. Just gorgeous, I have one crystal with Cinderalla & another with a Unicorn (I think). Look in the 'Two Dollar' shops, Reject shop, or the Chinese type cheap shops.....around $30, maybe a tad more now. Just imagine plugging Andre in when you're listening to his CD at night.....haaaaa!!!! Sweet dreams. XXX

Hi ladies. Well I am in a devil may care mood this evening. I have been watching every version of MARINA on youtube and believe me Jeanine Ann yours is THE BEST.I have been cooking dinner gyrating up and down the kitchen singing Marina Marina Marina. Dinner was late of course. I told my other half I want to take a banner to the O2 with MARINA on it just in case Andre doesn't do it. He said 'Oh what have I let myself in for going with you' I don't care I am gonna go for it and enjoy myself No one there will ever see me again. I am getting excited far too much in advance. 2 months to go yet I will be worn out. Ok so if I am hyped up for the next 2 months so be it MARINA MARINA MARINA Go Andre go xx

Hi all,
I know that Andre sometimes combines separate concerts when he puts together a DVD, but I have never before seen it happen with just one item.
On Maastricht no 3 song no 14 which is happy birthday to the Mayor you can see the lady with the red hair sitting between Arthur and Manoe in the front row. When Andre receives the flowers and gives wishes to the Mayor she is not there. Then when the chap carries out Carla as the doll hey presto she is back again.
Straight after and Andre starts to play Ben she has gone again. Just thought you might like to watch it as I know like me you can not get enough of Andre.
Enjoy the Maasticht concert reports and hopefully we will see some videos.

Good morning ladies. The hills are alive with the sound of Andres music already at such an early hour here this morning.Well not quite the hills as my house overlooks a valley but sounds good doesn't it.Yes Fay I agree, the atmosphere and mood has changed in our home since discoveing Andre.I have always been a music lover but never quite to this extent. Even my other half has caught the Andre Bug -which there isn't any cure for and who would want one.He walks around humming Andres music (out of tune with notes added but I let him off)Andre had definitely brought Joy to our home and Joy To The World

Ha, ha Josephine!!! Yep, some of Andre's photos (I think) go quite a way back from his current 'silver haired' variety......mine however go back only a few years (& with great lighting I might add)....my biggest bonus being that not all photos show my weight gain..ha, haa!!!! I'm not that old - (not as old as Andre anyway)- oops!! - I just feel that way somedays!!!! I won't be gone for long my friend!!!

The Queen Her self was in New York City, and it was 103 degrees - making it rather uncomfortable for Herself - guess she cut her speech she was giving and made a quick exit from the Big Apple. She is on her way home now. She looks quite fit and proper. She is truly an amazing "Queen".

Yeh, it is a bit unusual because we usually have very hot & humid July days.But I think we got the remnants of hurricane Alex, just happened to draw the moisture up our way. We had a rainy 4th weekend & looks like a chance for rain every day this week.
Oh we could use some of that rain Shirley. It is so dry here. The lawns are turning brown especially down in Lancaster. They look terrible. They say it might rain (thunderstorm) on Saturday. Meantime it is the high 90's to 100 until then. Hugs

We sometimes have daaays in a row on that temp. or above with no relief overnite and the air-con. is 'flat out like a lizard drinking' (so they say) and not giving much relief - ha, haaa!!! sometimes high thirties is bearable here if it's 'dry heat' and not ongoing for days....the humidity here is the real killer at times! It an be much worse in Sydney or Brisbane. What's it like there in terms of humidity just now?

OOOOh Jeanine Ann, the photos are super thank you,they are all good ,but the first one, HIS EYES are looking straight at one, The Eyes do it to me every time, I do love That Man; in june somebody asked about The "broach" Andre' wears there are 2 different ones He has another that really sparkles, also when He was in Australia,He was presented with an Opal,that to me looked like it could be worn at the neck; We have lovely Opals here in Oz for those of you who may not know they are mined at a place called Lightning Ridge in nth. western NSW.its an amazing place to visit you can shower under all cold water, its so hot,also you can't drink that water its yuk! also for Andre'The Opal is His birth stone, Hope He wears it when He comes back/ a bit of trivia opals are said to bring you bad luck, unless they are your birth stone then you are fortunate/ that video of Him waiting for rude people is funny Jeanine Ann, almost as good as Marina. a lot of you have called the tune He whistled Bridge over The River Kwia? I know it as Colonel Bogey, also bull/s??? was all the band could play, which here is often played, for it seem at times Aussie's are known to be full of it! It was lovely of the Australian people to give him his birthstone as a present. and the history of the Opal too is very interesting. sometimes I watch some of the shopping channels and on more than one occasion have been tempted to buy a piece of Opal jewellery but did not know about it being bad luck if it wasn't your birthstone. My birthday is December so I always thought that my birthstone was a Turqouise but now i'm told that it is also Tanzanite. can you enlighten me anyone. thanks

Kay, no matter which Dvd you buy you can't go wrong I don't think Andre' makes duds, they are all Very Good Australian Aventures is funny too,we love it. It shows off Andre's quirky sense of humour, also shows you a lot of the behind the scenes things that go into making Andre's concerts so very ? can't think of the correct word,[ a bit like making a ring with a zircon or diamond] to me Andre's concerts & music are the diamonds in my life, like you all here I openlly say I Love this Great Man , His Music His JSo ,we have a lot of His cds,they are all like His dvd of supurb quality,but I think The Last One You Raise Me Up, is so soul stirring, so beautiful, I am about to make a tape ready for my funeral, I'm not being morbid,I'm a bit fussy, so I'm going to tape You Raise Me Up, Ave Maria, Time to Say Good Bye, I also want to include one that Russell Watson sings Where My Heart will take Me, it sings of Faith of The Heart, its also the theme of Startrek Enterprise, mind you I tell my friends, I have a reservation but my bags are'nt packed yet soooo; Jeanine Ann is it ok to copy that first photo of the three, I think I really need that one in a frame,have a beautiful Andre' Day all; xxxooo Meow meow;

That is okay Fay. I know what you were talking about. I love all those road soaps too. It gives you such a nice look at everything behind the scenes. I have every one of them. My favorite documentary of all is "A Dream Come True" - I think that is the name. I just had brain freeze but I think that is the one. He is walking his dog Xander in the beginning. Well if that is not the title I will let you know. I think it is still available on Andre's site. It was a VHS and then put onto a DVD. When he plays "Jealousy" you want to die. He does it so saxy and then winks at the end. I watch it over and over. If you don't have it, I would definitely suggest you get that one. Hugs to you.

I still think we will be getting a DVD of the concert on the island of Mainau but have not heard anything. Next year he will also be going to the North Pole. That will almost certainly be a DVD. Josephine and Shirley, I do agree with you on that flying angel, I always found that very kitschy, but did never have the guts to say it, because I thought everybody would jump on me. Nothing against the singer, but I think that Marjorie or who ever makes those things, have a hang for kitsch.
Well , whoever, probably thought since she had the voice of an angel & certainly looked like one, they would give her wings to fly across the stage.

Hi Debbie, Cotton is still on the meds for two more weeks and Patches is on for three more days. We just talked to the vet today (to get refill) and he said he thinks Patches will be okay with the pills and he also thinks that Cotton is probably close to having the infection gone but wants to make sure he stays ahead of it. He said if it had gotten ahead of him he could not have saved her. I have been so scared but I guess since she is still with us it is just a matter of keeping the medicine in her for two more weeks. They are heavy ear drops and she just hates it. I feel so sorry for her. We wrap her in a bath towel (the doctor calls it the 'burrito cat') and just flip her from side to side to put the drops in. I guess it does feel terrible. She is such a good cat. In all the years we have had her and all she has been through we have never heard her growl or hiss. She just takes it and is so gentle. She has been force fed so many times, pills, blood drawn, x-rays, sonogram - you name it. We just love her to pieces. Thanks so much for asking Debbie. Big hugs to you.

Hi ladies & gents, just catching up on all the comments after not being here a few days. Thanks Debbie for sharing another wonderful poem with us. It was funny reading all the comments about the flying Angel all at once; I don't really like this myself & thought it actually took something away from focusing on Mirusia herself, her unique presence & her beautiful voice. Personally I thought it a bit 'tacky' and I wondered if Mirusia would have chosen this for herself. Like Inge, I thought I may be pounced on if I criticised-(too late now)! Gary, I also love Sarah Brightman-one of my favourites for some years. I now have DVD & caught up with with 'his gorgeousness' last nite...I have had withdrawal symptoms. Also didn't vote for 3 days being without a computer so must do that today.

Welcome back Jan my friend. That did not take too long. You were talking about taking photos at the concert. I do hope you will take some real good, close up and beautiful photos of our dear Andre. Just hold the camera real still and look into those beautiful eyes and click away! : ) Does your camera take video? This new camera I have takes video but it also lets you take as much time as you want each time. My older camera would only take one minute at a time so I would need to keep pushing "record" every minute. Good to have you back. Just kidding about the photos, I know you will take some great pics. My camera is out of date so may need to borrow my Brother's digital. My mobile phone takes videos, so will test this out for 'distance' well before the concert. I'll make sure I have something that works well (photo & video) as I'd be really disappointed to come away with nothing! HUGS

Hi Fay! Which particular photo? I've lost track. All his photos are 'gorgeous' but I particularly love the ones where he looks 'himself' TODAY rather than the ones we know have been retouched or photoshopped etc., for publicity. Please tell me which date to look up for this. I'm sorry u can't get to the Concert. I wouldn't go either if I couldn't get decent a seat as I have a physical disability. In such a huge venue, there will still be more walking & stairs than is good for me but I'll get there hours before so that I can take my time & maybe go to a coffee shop beforehand. I couldn't stand the embarrassment of the Maestro chastising lateness either! I almost chose not to go as I'd be very disappointed if I had poor seating, but then thought that it may be the only time I do get to see him 'live.' I'm five rows back, so hoping that I at least have good view & can take photos, even if I have to walk to the front during last Encores and finish to take pics. As keen & hopeful as I am, I would not be rude enough to block the view of others...I would either wait for appropriate time or ask those around me if they minded or not.... and am also the type to point out extreme rudeness in those who show total lack of courtesy by blocking the view of others. Maybe I should take something to 'subdue' me before I get there-ha, ha!!!! It's a risk we take these days with Venues being so big. At least it will be an experience - hopefully a great one - then I'll be happy with DVD's and CD's.

Well ladies, the harsh reality of the day is now over. I'm about to snuggle up on the sofa with my favourite 'doggie' boys (Jazz & Bronte). If I'm a 'lucky Mum' the boys will be very quiet whilst I'm entertained by my favourite man for a couple of hours on this cold winter's nite before I retire...they usually are!

Before I go...gotta say...saw comments that Marjorie may be responsible for the 'kitsch' Angel thing, as well as noting Gary's comments about Sarah Brightman although I haven't seen her do this! As much as I love Andre, let's not forget that he probably has a bigger part in his dream than Marjorie, and that he 'can be' quite eccentric. I saw him 'directing' both the 'Angel' thing and Ice Skaters in one video. I love Andre & of course he has the right to what he wants in his productions BUT I sometimes 'cringe' at what I see. Would Andre like another violinist telling him how to play the violin? Sometimes I think he's 'on the edge' dictating to those who know better than him about what they do. He has his own valid reasons as the 'Maestro' etc., & they have their 'own' reasons to follow his instructions at this time. Obviously like Andre, such experts/professionals will only follow whilst they need to. There is always a price to pay when needing or relying upon someone else's fame, expertise, experience etc., to help you move forward in life.
It all makes sense in the Professional World of any kind. I guess I see both points of view as I've been anything from a 'lacky' to a 'Boss' and anywhere in between - ha, ha!!! Just glad that I'm my own Boss these days!
One day soon, Mirusia won't need to be strung on wires & playing someone else's tune, and those wonderful Ice Skaters can say 'Ta very much Andre...bye, bye!!!)'....just as Andre once had to play to the 'tune' of others, but no longer does.
I did hear Andre say in one of his DVD's that he intended to 'share' rights to a joint CD with Mirusia. Maybe it's time for Mirusia to 'call Andre in on a promise'...after all - why would you let the man hook you up on wires and fly across a stage? I sure as heck wouldn't do that without promise of something better!

Many of the musicians in the JSO have been offered other lucrative positions, including a lifetime position as first violin in a symphony orchestra and have chosen to stay with Andre. Also, many of them perform elsewhere, alone or with another group, or conduct other groups, or teach, but elect to stay with JSO as their full time job. Why? They are paid well (as opposed to most orchestras); one of the violinists said, "We are the most coddled orchestra in the world." Everything is paid for and there are lots of extras such as a nursery school and catering, special treats arranged for them. I can remember way back when they were just starting to be known, he bought everyone a new fancy cell phone. Traveling must get a little tiring but they stay in the best places. Last year he paid for nannies for two of the women with new babies. He wanted the women there so he told them to bring the babies. Sure there are things that are just plain silly and not my cup of tea but I think that nothing would be in the concert that he didn't want there. My own preference is a beautiful concert hall (not the arenas)but small venues are probably not profitable. In the large venues I don't go unless I can get good seats. I talked with Mirusia in Toronto and she said she loved flying through the air like that. She thought it was great. Waltzing Matilda was the collaboration CD. The featured skaters were the World Champions from Germany --a very appropriate choice and they already had their careers. The dancers are already in their own dance companies. Carmen and Carla started out in his choir and have careers of their own but often come back when they can. Carla especially is booked night after night in various operas. Carmen performs in Brazil a lot. He gave them their start and they don't have to come back (except I'll bet he pays them better than anyone else). I'm glad they do come back. I saw my first concert 15 years ago. I loved it, but wonder if I would today. Orchestra pieces only, no singers. Elaborate stage decorations. Frederic Zenniges was there but that was it. No solos. Then we had the Andre Sisters. Then he needed a choir for a piece and decided he would always have one after that. That's where we got Suzan, then Carmen and Carla. So many of the orchestra members were there 15 years ago and are still there. I think that probably says something about the lives they lead. I have watched these people marry and have children. Last year in Maastricht the female child of an original JSO member joined the orchestra as a violinist. And now Marcel's son has joined. There are five or six couples in the orchestra. Mirusia is still younger than the other singers and I think this an excellent start for her. He's the boss which is as it should be but I think a lot more people would leave if they weren't satisfied with what they are doing. And just think, everything is arranged and they don'thave to worry about anything.

Hi Virginia, thanks for all this detail. I do believe that Andre is a wonderful man who treats his people very well which is part of the reason I've come to admire him so much. I love all that I have seen so far, even when there is just a small part that I'm not keen on. Even all that said, I say that no matter how good Andre is, he can't make everyone - fans or Staff, happy 100% of the time as life moves people on whether they are happy in one place or not. Your last few sentences are what I was trying to put across, just wondering how some felt about the 'pros and cons' in their world with Andre. I now know from you that Mirusia loved flying through the air-ha,ha! It's just interesting to exchange opninion & find out what others know. The curiosity comes in as we see many sides of Andre in what he shares artistically, musically and from a business perspective. It's good sense that people choose to expand their careers outside JSO, and a good thing that Andre doesn't expect 'sole rights' to those who do stay with him. Many Employers would not give so much unless it's people were 'exclusive' to that Employer. I've only known of Andre & the JSO for these past couple of years, so still learning and curious about what I see and hear. I'd never be disappointed in a Concert just because of a small part which didn't suit my taste, nor because of rumour, gossip, negative publicity or a personal perception of my own which may not be real. I didn't know that Waltzing Matilda was the collaboration CD, so I'm a bit behind in my collection. Thanks again.
Jan, I'm like you in the fact that one small part I may not care for would not deter me from enjoying the rest.But no matter whether Mirusia liked the flying or not, I didn't care for it myself, just my own personal statement.It's not that she didn't look beautiful either. I guess it's just different strokes for different folks.I have no problem with those who really liked it.

As you can tell, I have followed JSO for a long time. Of course everyone has his/her own preferences but as you can see we all keep going, and going, and going! I, for one, am always looking for something new, a new song, a new performer. Others like hearing the same thing over and over but it makes me feel as if it's the same old thing. As long as we show up, I agree with everyone, he must be doing something right! I already have my tickets for Vienna in 2011.

In reference to your comment re looking out for new songs/performers, have you seen Helmut Lotti and Daniel O'Donnell? It seems that everyone who likes Andre likes them too. I think of them as a bit of a trio. They all bring a lot of happiness to the world and all seem to be exceptionally nice and generous people
Hi Jill, I'm like-minded there! I've always enjoyed both Daniel O'Donnell and Helmut Lotte. Apart from cd's, I've seen a few of Daniel's dvd's & enjoyed these very much. I've only seen Helmut's concerts on TV these past few years. I too think that an Andre fan would really enjoy these. (It's just an added bonus for us that we think Andre is soooooo gorgeous) - then again....that's an Individual opinion & personal taste - I'm sure that there are Daniel & Helmut fans out there who think that Andre is third on their own list of 'winning good looks'. You're absolutely right in saying that 'all' of these do their bit in being generous and exceptionally nice. All of these people bring happiness to the World, live life with goodness & grace, and give where there is true need.(So do others we haven't mentioned, of course).XXX

I attended three 'live' Nana Mouskouri concerts in my younger days/nights. That
was when I had to beat the boys off and stay back a distance (twas in my hottie days). But getting back to earth and put myself back in the NOW; I just loved Nana Mouskouri's singing and still do. Kinda scary to remember her, and way back 'when' purchases were made in the vinyl mode. Ahhh, thank you, for bringing back some very romantic memories.

Hi, I have been a fan of Helmut Lotti for years. Don't care for Danny O'Donnell much. I don't know if I would travel far to see Helmut but if he came here I would go. I really haven't followed his schedule. I should because maybe could see him in connection with something else.
I would no doubt pay to see Daniel - I love his music & what I know of him so far and I have Celtic roots, apart from anything I mentioned earlier. I also love Helmut's music but would probably not pay to see his concert: reason being that I saw an interview between himself and Ita Buttrose in Australia, where he declared that he was NOT a romantic man, even though he 'sells' romance in music. This 'diminished' my belief in what he gives, as he has portrayed himself to be romantically inclined & his truth does not 'gel' with mine-(do I make sense?). Who is to know who really is truthful about who they are and what they give or present to this World???? Sometimes we can only accept what we perceive or believe at any given time! If it feels good, do it! - If it doesn't feel right-forget it! XXXX
Hi Jan, Andre has definite ideas about what he wants for his concerts. He is the boss. I believe Mirusia and all the others really enjoy everything they do, even floating in the air. I don't see him telling them how to sing. He is really directing how he would like - lets say Mirusia - her dress to look with the lighting and how high or at what angle the cable should be rising. He is a perfectionist, his name is on the program and of course he has the right to say how things should look. In other words he is responsible for the contents of the concerts and he is responsible how everything flows and comes across to the audience. The Sopranos and Tenors are all very talented but Andre gave them the one thing they need and that is exposure. I feel they are very grateful for this exposure and they follow his instructions with a happy heart. World-wide recognition is priceless and this is what Andre is doing for them. Andre needs no one to make him a star so he doesn't 'use' these talented ladies and gents to enhance what he does. They all work together to make a beautiful concert for us. I think that Mirusia, the Tenors, the skaters will all thank Andre one day for the opportunity to be recognized for the talents they are. One smart thing about Andre is he never 'played to anyone else's tune' but his own. He has always been his own boss. I hope all this makes sense to you Jan. I also think that he and Marjorie share equally in his dream. She gave up so much so that he could pursue this dream. Hugs to you.

Spain won the world cup and they deserved it, the Dutch played very dirty, sorry André, but so many fouls, was not a nice game, just a battle like in the war.
We did watch the whole game & it was not as exciting as some of the others.

I was so nervous I could not even watch the game. We stopped at the antique shop after church for sheet music and they had it on so I would glimpse at it once in a while. The only one who can be number 1 forever is Andre : )!!!! But just to be playing in the finals is significant I think. I, of course, wanted the Netherlands to win so badly but congrats to Spain. I am sure Andre is so proud of the team anyway, even though he must use Plan B text for the next concert! Hugs

Do you need PAL or NTSD(?)-or whatever the other is? Ordering from Andre's official website took ages for a previous delivery, but not sure if that was due to the volcano disruptions. Quite right Shirley, what´s wrong with being 2nd or 3rd, in figure skating my daughter was happy to make the team then to be 3rd was sometimes super, of course once in while also 1st, but when you think how much you have to work and give to get there at all, I think they should all be proud, sometimes it also takes a little luck, but also there is a lot of money involved, not just the glory, this are no amateur players, they are pros.

I am always 'in awe' of this amazig project that Pierre puts together, it's almost inconceivable to me; he is truly amazing himself. I'm outa control here & chuckling away now, that you nearly wet yourself watching a dummy cartoon waiter with a plate walking across your computer screen..(hmmmm), I must ask, was that just shock cos you weren't expecting it? How are you coping with Andre's photo right next to your bed? As much as I love the gorgeous man, I still think it's bad luck for a single/hopeful woman to have Andre's eyes everywhere, especially in the bedroom. (Or maybe you're just not as hopeful as I am in reality - ha, ha!!!!). Maybe I'll just keep him in the bedside drawer for when I need him most and not on show! Hi Kay once you are on the website if you scroll down to the bottom of the dutch writing there are a few small flags, click onto the union jack then the sight will come up in English, paylogic is a bit like e-bays paypal, fill in your details and they will sought it. Kay and everyone, I just put out the entry for tickets for Maastricht. Just click on one of the dates or all of them and it will take you to the page for tickets. I clicked on Paylogic but I had no amount to put in. Just follow it through and there is a Mastercard and Visa logo on the page. I am sure you will be safe to order with your credit card. Andre has never put the dates for the upcoming year on before he is finished with this year so it is surprising to me. If you know anyone who is there, you can ask them to get the tickets for you. Keep on enjoying Fay, we all enjoy Andre the best way we can. I just love to look at his gorgeous face but don't want to 'jinx' my 'anticipated' love life! Before bed, I look at the photo, watch his dvd's and put out a prayer to the Universe that I have someone equally as wonderful coming into my life. Then I sleep on my visions & thoughts without Andre's eyes anywhere in sight. I'll give it another six months - if 'good romantic karma' isn't restored in my life by then, I could well be doing the same as you-ha,ha!!
I've never been a fan of 'The Dame' either but it doesn't matter. Andre always includes something in his Concerts which is relative to, loved by or popular in each Country he performs in, as well as giving opportunity to an up and coming talent in that country where he can. Like many of you, I have no complaints, just preferences - and I always get more from Andre & JSO than less! XXX

I studied four languages early in life,and apparantly at that time 'had a gift' for language, but left school before age 16 to start work and never progressed with languages or many other things until later in life.
I was brought up to appreciate Culture, history & many other things of great value, but somehow lost it along the way with many, many moves across the World & Nationally here in OZ during times where Culture was not really appreciated or found valuable unless one attended a 'highly priced' Private Education system. It's amazing what we can learn if we 'just want to'. XXX

I can only imagine how big this is for you - I'm already stressing about what time I should leave home, how much time I need to get to my seat, whether or not I'll be ok physically with walking distance and stairs, will I be ok alone?????....and that's in my own City, a cab ride of around 30 mins!!!!! Twelve months gives you plenty of time to investigate, make arrangements....and calm down - ha, ha!!!!!!!!! Hi Kay, I think we're all big kids when it comes to Andre! It reminds me of being 6-7 years old, when the only way my Dad could get me (& my brother) to Church was to promise a 'thruppence' worth of sweets from the corner shop on the way home! Oh and don't forget "A Dream Come True" video. You can get that on Andre's site. I just love that and you will too girls. I first got it on VHS and transferred it to a DVD. I think it was released in Australia on a DVD but don't remember what it is called in the Aussie version. That is the one which starts out with Andre walking his dog (the late Xander). I have the Aussie version but I have so many that I lost track of the title. I just ordered the DVD from the Amsterdam Arena and now someone said there are no subtitles. Oh well, you kind of know what he is saying anyway and the music needs no translation. Hugs

Hi Fay, it's only the jealous that rubbish the success of others and we know that, so it's not worth wasting energy on. We see how Andre, Marjorie & Pierre in particular have pulled together this amazing (I'm still gob-smacked) creation/production as a small family unit. I'm sure that 'the big boys' in the business/corporate world have difficulty coming to terms with this too. From what I see & hear directly from Andre's interviews/dvd's etc., he could lose everything he has just following his greatest dream. He could be living in a Castle one day, and a shoe box the next! The Rieu's are amazing, as I'm sure they haven't always had the best of everything in life all along. They seem to be one of those Families meant to be here for a greater purpose in life - they do it well, and deserve the best. They are prepared to dream big, give big and give back at great risk to 'creature comforts'!....I hope for them that they always have the best in life, even if on a smaller scale than today.
Given what Andre is like, Marjorie would have surely had her hands full with 'three boys' to look after in past years-ha,haa!
I see that Pierre pushes himself to the limit/extreme - he is an amazing young man. From what I see/hear, Andre & Marjorie want only their children's happiness, contentment & success in their own right. I just hope that Pierre is reminded of how long he needs to be around in life for his wife, and especially his baby girls! He is a young man now & can most likely take all the stress & responsibility.
It also makes me shudder when I see young people being pushed to the limit to fulfil a dream of a Parent - it's so wrong! Have you ever watched 'Toddlers in Tiaras'? I personally find this very frightening!

Ladies, last nite I watched Romance Around the World! How wonderful would it be .... on a cruise ship ... wherever....as close to, or as far from home as you would like, for 3 nights, ten nights - whatever,..stopping at every Port or just enjoying the surrounds of the cruise ship/liner.....knowing that Andre and JSO will be there to to either spark you passion, or at the very least, share a little romance and give you sweet dreams & help you to enjoy the rest of the journey! Ooooohh, must admit - whether I had the man of my dreams right beside me, or had to rely on a 'girl' friend to keep me company.....this thought is something to relish!!!!! hmmm, hmmmmm.........MORE SWEET DREAMS!

Hi Gary, I'm butting in, but in an honourable way! - I think that Marjorie is being truly and genuinely acknowledged by her husband (Andre) for her input into the total construction of any project of his personal choice. I personally don't think that Marjorie is trying to take credit for anyone else's ideas, talents etc., ....only in regard to the compilation and construction of what she and Andre put together as husband & wife and within their Professional, Business relationship. I'm not sure if I make sense, I just think that there is nothing else intended outside of what I've said. Kind regards.

This is her personal choice apparantly, and is to be respected as she has her Individual & Independant reasons for this. Of course Andre receives input from Marjorie - to be expected of a 30 something year marriage & family business - he, heee!!!, and since Andre couldn't pull the Castle & production together by himself (being the Dreamer he is), isn't he lucky to have Pierre as his son aas well? Yeh, 'shove' the Corporate World!!!!! I was raised by a WW2 veteran (British Air Force), still alive & kicking at 88 yrs. old... and have a Military bloodline so have some idea of what you've experienced there - (second hand, of course).

Yep, it sounds like the Corporate World - at worst I've had death threats against me...at best I've not been subjected to grenades, knives or Chinese torture! I must say that I have had good times in the Corporate World over 34 years but when you boil it all down....I may as well have joined up with the Military! At least I could have got down, got dirty & aggressive on command and not felt guilty about it! Ooops, was that I good thing to say???

Hmmmmm, I share with curiosity whilst not entertaining a huge debate! It sometimes seems, even on this site, that we get 'off track' from the main purpose, yet we only share experience in 'true life form' and are her for a common cause - i.e. We are Andre fans!, and I think within the scope of approval. If that's not the case, I'm sure we'll find out soon! It's always good to connect with people through 'any' common link & I hope that we can continue to share as Andre fans on a very human level.
Hmm, I'll have to think about that expert thing. Even an expert can't be an expert in all things.
I've known people who have a lot of knowledge about certain things, but not everything, so who knows.
One time I read that an expert is someone who knows more & more about less & less until
eventually he knows everything about nothing.
In my own self I've learned that the more I know the less I know.
As Andre fans we are also friends, hence the name "fans & friends".We can talk about Andre or ourselves.
I like people & I learn a lot just by listening to everyone. We share & we care.
I think we're all pretty neat! off track or not. We's just people.

Hi ladies Yes I totally agree with you. I get all uptight when I read, especially on youtube,about people rubbishing Andre's music or his lifestyle. I always stick up for him. I tell them to look behind the scenes and see just how much time and hard work goes into putting on these fantastic concerts for those of us who DO
appreciate Him and the worry and stress of it all must be something else. They are just sad jealous people. Perhaps if they put a little more effort into their own live instead of sitting on their butts complaining about what other people have or do they may have a better life and have less time to worry about things other hard working people have achieved.The buck stops with Andre and if he doesn't get it right he knows he has to take the blame so he makes sure he does get it right Happy days xx

Why exhaust yourself with angry thoughts when you can visibly see the extent of record sales, concert ticket sales, cd sales, etc. etc. etc......No understanding or questioning necessary!!! Numbers speak for themselves - especially when validated!!!! I could be 'rather coarse' in expressing my perception/belief/understanding/support/opinion of what Andre and his team have done/produced/achieved in his World of music, especially when the Corporate World 'rules' any business these days, just to put the wind up others or be aggressive (I can go either way & it's possibly no compliment to myself!!!!)....but I shall and will remain a Lady for the benefit of all on this Site.....he, hee!!!

I'm excited that 'Andre's Aussie Adventures' and 'Live in Sydney' DVD's are on their way to me...as well as Andre hologram crystal key ring...and two decks of playing cards. These days I only know one card game which requires two decks (don't ask me what it's called, I just have instructions written down). I can't guarantee that my friends will love these cards as much as I surely will...what else can I do with these if my friends reject playing with them & me??? The only other card game I knew is forever erased from my mind (just don't ask, ok?). I may just end up with a deck (or 2) of cards framed, & being placed in a position 'for my viewing only'...haaaaaa!!!! - Did I ever think that I would get to this???? SWEET DREAMS ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Fay, I love all three of them. I do love to see/hear Carmen sing 'O Mio Babbino Caro.' Her facial expressions & the way she played up to Andre in that particular piece was so appropriate; she as the immature girl/woman playing up to her Father ... (haa, I reminisce now...didn't work for me though - My Dad was too smart - darn!!). I wrote to Andre recently & asked if he would consider having 'O mio Babbino Caro' and 'Vilja' sung in English when in Australia. My Mum sung most of the songs we hear from Andre & JSO, and much more. She sang the English translations - 'Oh, My Beloved Father', and 'Vilia, Witch of the Wood' with the voice of an Angel! If you don't understand Italian & I certainly don't, to hear these pieces in English is just 'magic' - When I see Andre & JSO in Concert this October, it will be just past the 2nd Anniversay of Mum's death....I miss her terribly. I hear much of her music in Andre's Concerts, dvd's, cd's etc.....It makes my cry yet helps me heal. Whether or not he can or will accommodate a fan request is to be seen - I certainly wouldn't criticize for this but am hopeful.
Enjoy DUBLIN! It's fantastic. I watched it again a few nites ago. Gotta love seeing our 'Classical' Andre mix it up with the best of the Irish!! ... Of course, I'm of Irish heritage! HUGS XXXX

Today were our twin grandchildren born, 2 month too soon, Nicolas weighs only l42O g and Luca l8OO g. both are in an incubator and the mother is recuperating from a cesarean, but they are all well and Vic and I are proud grand parents!

Thanks girls! I have not seen the kids yet, as my son moved last Friday, their computer is not connected yet and everything went topsy turfy since. He said he took pictures with his cell phone but they are hooked on all kinds of equipment in the incubator. I send you one, as soon as I get one.

Inge Congratulations, twin boys how beautiful please keep us up to date on their progress,my first grandaughter was born 3 months prem, by ceasarine 1.3kgs, today is is a happy healthy girl & will be 24 on 26th. october my birthday too, she had a few hurdles on the way like a bowel infection, then the drips that kept her alive damaged her gall, she had that removed as a 2 year old, life was interesting then I can tell you,you are in for a lovely time may God Bless Them also you & yours,I think we can enjoy our Granbabies better than we do our own;I also now have 3 greatgranbabies, not from the above Granchild but my Sons Daughter,also his Son had a beautiful boy Christmas eve, I have His Photo as a screen saver; I imagine Andre enjoys His Granbabies when He gets back from trips,Babies are so precious but Granchildren are diamonds in my life; Fancy a fire starting on stage at Andre's concert as some said He is a Hottie,also no panic what an amazing guy,no need to say more about that ,actions speak louder than words ; today is Thursday 3 more sleeps till Sunday, the countdown has started ;Rouse Hill for those who don't know is close to Windsor,named after The Rouse Family who were early pioneers in N.S.W., that is where the cinema is we are going too, hip hip hooray, I'm mad I know , don't forget to vote have a great Andre' Day ;;xxxooo meow;

One thing I have with André in common, we are grandparents of twins, which is today nothing special anymore, a lot of twins are born, not identical ones. I hope only that the kids are o.k. being born too soon.
I am disappointed with Andre, why should he have the seekers on his concerts, really and truly he starts he wants the general public, to love classical music, the seekers I think not. In Europe he has 400 bandsmen, out here we have to put up with the seekers,traditional Australian music, and Mr. Jones from Sydney, Oh come on, why can't we have our Bandsmen Wind instrutruments of course, playing entry to Rome,Nearer my God to thee, Panis Angelicus, etc. Do hope he has the Dolls Song Tales of Hoffman to, I feel that Andre does not give Australian audiences a "FAIR GO". Why not ask some of the young Singers from the Australian Opera, after all they sing only in the chorus, but to be soloists with Andre, will help them go overseas and learn in Europe. I say no to the Seekers, they can have there own Concerts, and still fill the seats. Come on Andre I for one, want more from you. THE SEEKERS INDEED, boring, boring

Personally I'm excited about the coming Melbourne concert, even if there should be 'something' in the program not to my own personal taste. Impossible to please everyone all of the time.
Everyone has a right to their own opinion. A funny thing about opinion is that no one is likely to change their mind, at least in most cases.
There's a little story that a certain professor used to tell, about opinion.

I like that Prudence! We can all be creatures of habit & history, and victims of our own rigid attitudes. (I think I chose the right words there). From what I read and hear about Andre, he is not necessarily a man who loves change himself in some areas - but he certainly knows how to expand his mind, look outside the square, and aim for something better.
Some people choose not to change their opinions unless forced, if ever; others experience life and come to question why they hold a certain opinion or attitude in the first place. Sometimes we can make it hard on ourselves & can deny ourselves a happier way of being & experiencing life and what it has to offer. xxx

Open dialogue and communication, sharing of past experience and vision, to me, is a better way. It can be a tougher life to keep a closed mind than to open ourselves up to possibilities. xxx

I thought the Seekers were very popular in Australia, especially when they sing
I Am Australian. I would imagine that Andre thought they would fit in quite well.
I think the beautiful Mirusia fits the classical bill. Maybe at some further time he will ask different
groups to perform, more to your liking. I believe he is not strictly classical but uses some of the popular
music as well. It seems to appeal to a wider audience.
As it is, he does a great job of introducing new talent all the time. As for me, I believe in what he's doing.
But as Jan says, we all have our own preferences,but we should not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. All of the things you mentioned I loved. The things I do not like in a concert I keep to myself rather than criticize Andre. He of all people knows exactly what he wants and who he wants. After all, isn't it HIS dream, HIS concert.
The Australian audiences have benefited overwhelmingly from Andre's appearances in their country. I only wish I could have been there for the hugely attended concerts and at all the malls were he signed autographs for hours.

South African soloist as his guest and African children too. Don't you consider it a compliment to your country that he should have some of your own people as guests. He has also had Dame Edna as his guest too.
I recently sent a request thru Andre's Guestbook requesting he consider my suggestion/request even if only for one concert. I don't imagine that my single request will be acted upon but feel sure that he has a special place for ongoing consideration of suitable and courteous fan requests.

I was thinking of that concert in Vienna, too, the only thing I have to consider, the Miniature show, I have no date for that yet, but mostly end of May beginning of June, as the concert is July 1st, I would have to stay a little over a hole month, that is long to leave Vic and the cats alone, maybe I write to the woman who is in charge of that Miniature show in Soest, she can give me the date, then I will really think about it, always wanted to see André in Vienna, the city of dreams as the music of that city made him famous!

Inge, I was born in Australia, my Parents too, I had a granfather who came from Ireland,I was terrified of this man who had a loud voice & I could'nt understand a word He said, in those days it was rare to hear an accent, His was broad to say the least, so I never got to know Him He died when I was about 7 , I was born in 1934; There is a Man with an accent today that I love, can't get too much of Himself & all He brings us, when I think 2 years ago I did'nt know this Great Man & all He presents was even alive,I know lots of the music but never presented in such a joyous & so happy way, if you can't get to His concerts , dvds & cds are an acsessable way to enjoy this Lovely Man, enjoy your Granbabies, you'll wonder what you ever did before they arrived Bless Them often.

Storms in Maastricht seems to have caused some damage to the stage on the Vrijthof. Rain and strong winds damaged the roof of the stage and most of the chairs were knocked over.

I was reading in the Telegraaf that there was an estimated 50-75 million dollars worth of storm damage.
In the Maastricht control center they reported that they received a call every 9 seconds to report damage.
From the looks of Andre's Twitter, you can see that a lot of the concert seats were scattered about.It's
very fortunate that there was no concert on that Wed. nite.
Lots of lightning stikes, short circuits, & basememt floodings. Many trees downed, damage to crops & greenhouses,
all over the Netherlands.The weather service had predicted the storms, starting on Monday in some parts.
The strong winds even took down 5 high towers in one town. Cleanup expected to take about 2 weeks.
In the town of Sittard,in a city park, 20 old trees were damaged.
Sounds like some of our straight line winds or tornados, where winds can be 100 mph or over.
That's what happens when the weather gets hot & a cooler front moves in.I'm sure glad that Andre & everyone is ok. These storms are no respecter of persons or property.When you see or hear one coming you better hit the decks!

I hope this isn't the concert which was to be simulcast to the Cinemas - I just thought of that. Maybe that's today (Sunday), so hope the storm wasn't too devastating to stop that.

The above surely looks like they had a good storm, thank God Andre was'nt performing; many years ago we were in a caravan in a storm , the van was 25 feet long, we had a wooden floor in the annex, a freezer & spare beds, the wind mooved the van & floor nearly 2 feet[ I still in my mind have FT. & Inches] the freezer snapped the annex poles it was very frightning, so I do thank God there was no concert on in Maastricht, both for Andre's sake also the people that would have been a big worry for Himself, because in my heart I believe He is a very caring Person; good night all I'm off to Doona Bay with my 2 Fellows I don't know where we'll go tonight maybe Christmas Around The world
Hi all, I watched Andre's Aussie Adventures earlier. It was just wonderful to see how the concert is pulled together, the lengths they all go to to give their best performances, and how they treat each other and look after each other along the way so that things are as perfect as can be for themselves, their fans, the program etc., etc.,. I'm sure we won't receive any less in OZ this year. I did have a chuckle about the 'coarse language label' which made me curious as I've heard some of you mention before. It's always good to see the human side of people and can say that I saw the humour and wasn't all offended by the context in which it was used.

Hi Fay, the world has become a small ball since INTERNET, I am German, married to a Canadian and I am in this country since l966. -- The twins are both in incubators, as of today together without breathing tubes, but one of them needed a blood transfusion. I hope they are now o.k. At the moment we are more worried about them , enjoying comes later when they are home with their parents.
I know the man with the accent since l997 where I saw him the first time on German TV, shy and very handsome , only 48 years old. In the meantime he is also grandpa, haaaaaaaaa! But he still entertains us.
Hope that storm did not set him back again!!!!!

Josephine, you should hear André speak German, that is almost without accent, here and there a grammar mistake, but Maastricht is so near Germany , I think everybody almost speaks there German, French and English, but in Europe, everybody has to learn English ad French. -- I think the twins are o.k. now, just have to gain weight. I really wanted Australian Adventures i remember Fay saying how good it is. I ordered it but after a week or so they wrote to say were trying to get it but could be long time. Well i didn't want to wait so got Live in Dublin intsead. Very good Andre, sure was agile then he must have jumped about 6ft (or nearly) in the air. (Must say i think Teun is quite attractive.) Not like Andre of course.xx

PS: Just got the DVD "Live In The Amsterdam Arena" and find it has no subtitles. Oh well, most of the time we know what he is saying. It will be fun to watch. It is PAL though. The best thing I ever did was to buy an all-region player. It is so worth it.

Fay, I also tried (the real) TWITTER but don't know what the heck I'm doing so am giving that up! Do you remember the 'cheese sandwich' bit? It was funny - I wasn't sure whether Andre was heading for a 'melt-down' or a 'box-on' when he couldn't find a familiar face in his Catering tent to feed him! There is often something under the surface which you miss, and need to re-watch the dvd as Andre can be very subtle. I take Andre very seriously for all his great qualities and at the same time laugh at him, or with him. Pierre's comments about his Dad amuse me greatly. As much as we love Andre, I'm sure he has always been 'a high maintenance child' in many ways & that Marjorie surely deserves a medal! (I say this with great affection). I surely could not keep up to this man. I'm not a great fan of Dame Edna & think I switched off when the character 'Les Paterson' emerged & this turned me off completely. I must say though, that I did get a chuckle or two out of Andre's interraction with The Dame. Andre is a very witty, funny & cheeky man in a very Down to Earth way. I can't wait to hear what you thought of Maastricht 3 at the Cinema!!!! -and I have to watch Andre's Aussie Adventures a few more times for sure! HUGS xxx

Yes I am feeling ok! I did have my computer out of action for a few days, the hard drive gave up so I had to install a new one, which didn't go according to plan. I did receive a new DVD yesterday called Royal Dreams, and wrote a little ditty.
My new dvd has arrived today.
And now I'm going to sit down and play.
Watching Dear Andre looking back at me.
Whilst I sit and drink my coffee.
Listening to that beautiful music unfurl.

Hi ladies, I don't usually buy chocolates for myself, but was recently tempted by a new Cadbury line (single wrap rather than a whole block) -'Cadbury's Dove Caramel' (I love caramel) & try to stay away from it) which I hadn't had for some time. Only once I'd munched through the entire pack did I realise that the wrappers contained 'little snippets of wisdom' to share with me...

Woo What a way to go!! The strange places you dear ladies are finding quotes. Used to find them in fortune cookies Someone gave me a box of 'angel cards' a few years ago. I used to choose one every day and try to do what it said on the card like Honesty, Forgiveness, Creativity It was a good positive way to start the day. Since I left the Corporate workforce a year ago after 35 years and now concentrate on an entirely different field, I find that I'm losing past used skills which I was very proud of (or maybe just choosing to forget)! It's amazing how 'you lose it if you don't use it.' I really need to slow my mind down so that I don't race ahead of everything. I just call it 'an adjustment period'.

Jeanine Ann have just finished my red rooster Lunch/Dinner; Oh The concert was soooooo GoooodI think I enjoyed it better than when we went to His live concert,Himself Bigger Than Life; The Tenors sang Sorrento,& Oh Sole Meio, Kimmi came on and sang Ave Maria, the back drops were of stained glass windows,she then sang Heal The World, with a choir from Africa, the children from The Hout Bay project played Africa,The Lion Sleeps tonight, Wimmaway , then Kimmi came back & sang African Dream with the youth dancing to the music, Tanya, played The Swan,Carmen did a flirt with Andre',sang Hava Nagila, Mirusa sang Memory, The 3 Girls sang I've forgotten what, by this time I had drowned in Andre' eyes,there was a patriotic piece with the Dutch flag flying, Andre has a new backdrop system it changed so often, for Memory He had a Backdrop of the New York sky scrapers, The German Harmony group were there [ they were in The Hiedelburg dvd, Manoe played, then Andre' played The blue Danube, Maastricht Anthem,a couple of other Maastricht pieces at the end The Hallelua piece almost raised the pavement off The Square, Sami Lucas an Australian TV person introduced the program by taking us on a tour of Maastricht, at the end of the program She had a lovely interview with Andre,speaking about how He loves doing concerts at home ,but also is as comfortable in Australia , which was a nice thing for Him to say; I'm still up in the air I've left out a lot,my old brain is in overdrive,but to me it was better than a concert because, we were so close even to seeing the perspiration on Andre' brow, a similar bit of fun Andre' whistling waiting for patrons to be seated, the guy even blowing the trombone all in all A Beautiful morning & afternoon 3 hours , to me good value a Great Sunday, I'm a bit scattered Jeanine you may want to clean this up

Hi all, It's 8.30pm on July 18th & I'm just home from seeing the Maastricht concert. It was fantastic - about the best ever! Andre brought the Childrens Choir, the orchestra & Kimmi & their reception was enormous. The backdrops looked terrific. The African songs are so powerful. Andre & the JSO really did look like the were having heaps of fun. there were 6 ? or maybe 8 males added to the choir. I'm going to put on a DVD to calm myself down!

Hi Grace, I'm a 'newby' compared to some on the site, so it's nice to also see someone else joining in, whether you've been here before or not. I know how easy it is to sometimes think that something is wrong when it really most likely isn't. I've had a few experiences myself and needed to question. Sometimes I think that maybe I've said the wrong thing but also think that if it's positive (doesn't mean we agree all the time, and we can express disagreeance and still be positive). That's also modern technology doing it's greatest (or not) work at times - ha,ha! I look forward to seeing you here again soon. I'm in Australia - where are you? I've found this site a good place to be...in admiration of Andre & his talent, like-minded friendships etc. We agree on much, & occasionally disagree - but it's all about sharing & being with like-minded 'Andre friends'.

Good Morning all,I'm still up in the air, it was a lovely idea of whoever was responsible for this Live streaming of Andre's concert in Maastricht,I'll give Marjorie credit for this one, I bet she had a lot to do with it, I know we are more than thrilled, to have our Beautiful Man, so up close & beautiful, &the new backdrops were quite something, When Kimmi sang Ave Maria all the stained glass windows,& at the end when The Hallelua chorus ,there was the inside of a church,such a Superb, presentation , I've always felt Andre's Maastricht 3 was His best ever concert because of How He arranged The wind blowing band , I reckon He'surpassed that now, watching His face is always an experience but when He's at home, it seems to me He is in His Element,as if to say I'm at Home These Are My People,who know me I don't have to prove I can entertain,we can enjoy each other together, & have a great time, I better shut up I could go on for hours,Hopefully The Dvd will come out soon,then you can all see the lightning & what I'm raving about. xxxooomeow.
Hi Fay, isn't it just wonderful that Andre brings to us his own Culture & Musical taste, yet still gives something to each country he visits which is recognisable to any Concert-goer - the best of both Worlds for us?
Marjorie deserves much credit for many things. It would be easy for Andre to take all the credit, yet the 'steadfast & loyal relationship' between Andre and Marjorie over 30 or more years has led them both to this great success through Partnership in love, life & business - a result of loyalty and hard work by both!!!!! I believe that we will see 'better and better', as Andre believes in and maintains that balance between keeping Classical music alive, and bringing generations together with a mix of more popular music. My only grumble is that I had not known of the man and his music much earlier! It is only my (deceased) Mum who introduced me to such music. I came across Andre 'by accident' around the time of my Mum's death, and it brought me much healing, (I feel it was a meant to be situation) as the music he shares was also 'My Mum's music'. The rest is history as I am now such a fan of Andre and what he gives to us!
"I DON'T ENTERTAIN THOSE WHO COMPLAIN".
If someone doesn't find the greatest pleasure in Andre's music, concerts, his sharing on a human level, his Humanitarian contributions....well....they need more healing than we do, and maybe we can help!
It makes me feel proud that Andre calls Australia his second home! I just wish we could keep him here (sorry Marjorie-we just love him, and you'd be welcome too)!

Good day. I’m from South Africa. My daughter is singing in the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir and is currently in Maastricht. She has light red hair and is the smallest of all the children there. I want to know if there is someone with more pictures of the concert where I can see my little girl. I have seen some pictures, but I can never have enough. From what I see on the internet, everybody is very beautiful and professional.

Hello Jacques, it is always special to know of a Parent's pride and support of their child's talent. I'm in Australia & was unable to attend Masstricht so am waiting on the dvd release of this. I wouldn't be surprised if Andre arranged many, many photos as he so loves & appreciates family support and goes 'the extra mile'. I'm also sure that Andre fans would help you out on 'extras' as well if they are attending the same concert - just keep in touch!
I'll surely watch out for your daughter in the dvd release - she obviously is talented to be chosen by Andre.

Hi all, As some of you probably know i have booked a ticket for Maastricht next year. I opted for delivery by post. I got confirmation e-mail said it would arrive about 5 days, but when i looked into account it said "download E-Ticket" well i don't know much about these so i just printed it out on plain white paper does any one know if this will be ok. Please.xx
Hi Kay, I have never downloaded an E-Ticket but I would imagine as long as you have it printed out it doesn't matter what the medium is. If anyone here knows any different please post the answer for Kay. Hugs

Well Shirley, you have a partner in pain - my son. He's just moved to Darwin a week or so ago and got a job with a furniture removal company. His first day he broke his front tooth on a carton, then was bitten on the forehead by a spider in a wardrobe and spent the afternoon in hospital having IV antibiotics. The doctor said he could go home then added the comment, "if your flesh starts to rot come back"!! Charming...
On a more cheerful note - Charlie Landsborough's concert was wonderful. He's such a character, had us in tears of laughter, his voice is so warm and rich and his songs all beautiful lilting tunes with uplifting messages. he stayed and talked to everyone afterwards and was just a delight.

Charlie is an English Folk Musician who look a bit like Willie Nelson (he, he)...I'd never heard of him until a particular song came up for me that I truly loved and cried over. I'm sure it was "....humble man...(Hmm) to tune of Danny Boy. I've been scrounging my collection periodically for a while....I must keep going on this....hope I'm on the right track as it was truly wonderful lyrics as an alternative to the lyrics of Danny Boy - and most fitting for some of the men in my life!!! other girl who does your hair. Happened to me last week-end; turned out I also came home, wash my hair and did a quick re-do. Got some bad news today, (keep it under your bonnet) looks like some serious neck/disc surgery for me. Prognosis: N/G. Hard one to swallow.
Oh gosh Judith, sorry to hear about your surgery.makes my little complaints so trivial. will certainly say some prayers for you. When do you think it will be done? Drat, I hate it when my friends haveproblems, I can pretty much handle mine but feel helpless to help a friend. Hope you know we all care about you & wish you the best.
Hi Shirley, thanks for all your words, but the way I have been feeling I am beyond words. Made an appt. for a second opinion. The disc's in my neck and back just don't respond to anything anymore. As a matter of fact it hurts to sit here and type-any sudden movement in my neck, makes it worse, so hope this new MD has some better answers
or treatment. I'll keep you posted.
Oh dear Judith, when you are beyond words I know it's serious. Ok, now I'll start wo get worried. A second opinion by all means!! When your body tells you something's wrong those darn DRs better get busy & do something!Prayers on the way!!
Oh Judith, I am so sorry you are having problems. I would definitely get a second opinion for whatever your surgeon said. It is always good to get another doctor to tell you the different options you have. I will be praying for you. Our best friend's son got an epidural about 2 years ago and he has been fine ever since and he was really in bad shape. That might be something you could talk to your doctor about. He is a young guy and could not go through the rest of his life with disc pain. Please keep us posted Judith and take care. Big hugs to you

Hi Linda Loo, I was quite emotional reading your message. I found Andre & his music around the time my Mum died. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang much of the music played by Andre. You could no doubt imagine the emotional journey I have been on since then in healing. I'd never heard of Andre before this; it was as though the Angels led me to him & his music in my time of need. I still have Mum's lifetime collection of sheet music & have not yet been able to go through it all as it's been just 21 months & a difficult process. As Mum sang some of the songs you are intersted in I may well have the music score & lyrics in English. It will be another 6 weeks before I open this treasure trove with the help of a family member, so I'll keep you in my mind and keep in touch when I know exactly what is there. I would be happy to copy and send you some if it's not too late for you.

Hi all, just was to tell you that both kitties got a good report at the vet. He found a small lump on Cottons back which we must watch and also make sure we don't find any more. It is not a cyst which is the first thing I had asked. He could not find anything around the stomach area but he was concerned that she had gained over 2 lbs. since he last saw her and that was only about 2 weeks ago. So it is always something with older kitties. Patches is good and weighs 14+ lbs. That is a lot but she is always eating! Now the next one to go in is Micetro. She must have a general health check. It is almost like having kids! Hugs to all

Greetings from Maastricht. Two pounds in a week is a lot! I miss my kitties and hope they are okay. I requested they be allowed out during the day and hope the sitters aren't having too many problems. Three more days in this beautiful city.

Hi ladies (& gents)...Received my Andre/JOS playing cards torday - very nice! Also received key ring..I already knew I wouldn't be using it as a keyring as it could be easily destroyed. I plan to use it on my crystal display light - AND - just as well, my eyesight is so bad these days that I couldn't even see his lovely face within the crystal in broad daylight with specs. on - ha, ha!!!! Maybe I should just place him in the crystal cabinet...can't have it destroyed! Also have two more dvd's to pick up at Post Office, couldn't get there today cos of rain but looks like sunshine tomorrow. Another quiet weekend with Andre comin' up! HUGS TO ALL.

If you love a gentle voice, & lovely, romantic, spiritual & meaningful words for any occasion, a mellow mood & soothing words - then u must look him up on YouTube. Almost as romantic as Andre!!!! I can never decide whether Charlie's hymn 'My Forever Friend' is my favourite of his songs, or if it's the one he wrote after overhearing a little blind boy ask his father, 'What Colour is the Wind?' He sings everything with such feeling, I'm sure he's sincere with every word. He's had a very interesting and varied life and tells some wonderful stories about his adventures.
He's interested in meeting everyone after the concert too, you can tell he's pleased to be there talking to you. Seemed intent on giving everyone a hug. I got three and my husband enjoyed his one! Charlie has very long white hair and while on the receiving end of these bear hugs you get enveloped in a cloud of white hair. My husband was very amused by it all.
He reminds me of the folk singers we had in the 60's at the many folk music lounges of the time. Does anyone remember The Troubadour in Sydney, or the Limejuice Tub. Goodness, that's going back, but Charlie would have fitted right in.
He's in Victoria at the moment and then heading to Western Australia anyone interested.
PS I'd so love to hear Andre play some of his beautiful songs. They'd sound wonderful on the violin - especially 'that' violin.
Hi Jill, I'm not familiar with all of his music. I do know that from what little I've heard, that I love the tenderness of his voice along with such beautiful & meaningful lyrics. It's a bit like connectiong Andre to his music even though he does not sing! It's the feeling of the music, and the words and the tenderness of voice that 'do it for me'. As much as I love Andre & drool over him, I'm not into the 'meet & greet' with anyone, but 'long live' that 'saxy' Sradivarius'. xxx

Josephine,if you subscribe to the blog you will get all the comments & new entries in your e-mail.There is a spot at the bottom left where you can subscribe. Makes it easier sometimes but then you will have a lot of e-mail. some people like it maybe not all. I just find it easier for myself.

You have lost me completely, but that is my fault, because I do not read everything, just do not find the time. I think I spend already toooooooo much time on the computer, my back and neck cannot take it, the Arthritis not kind also not with my hobby making MINIS, which is very time consuming and I made lately 11 dolls (two André´s , one in a leather jacket, jeans and a blue-white Karo shirt,) so you see, I cannot read everything, but ones in a while I browse over it all.

Shirley, I will take a picture from the leather jacket André for you and send it to Jeanine Ann and Josephine I did send a picture of the twins to Jeanine Ann, as soon as she finds the time, she will put it on the blog. The boys are doing fine, Luca got oxygen again, the mother is actually released from the hospital, but she stays with the twins so she can give them the milk and the necessary skin contact they need, still in the incubator.

Shirley, I have all my kitties in mini, made by an artist from Toronto, all 7 of them and also the pictures are in my room box: Madame Chat, cat lover or cat mother, she has l4 cats in it and a lot of pictures paintings in mini from cats, needlepointed cats dishes and all for the cat, haaaaaaaaa, one of my favorite room boxes.
I hope Inge's gorgeous grand-babies are still doing well. What a great job she did on the Andre doll; our friend Fay inparticular will be droooling. xx

Josephine, as I have not seen the twins yet, I have to go by what my kids are telling me, they think the boys are very tiny, but you are right by that picture they look not so small, my children weighed 7.l3 lbs, 8.2 lbs and the last one 9lbs, so 2.5 lbs is small, but not hopeless, the funny thing, the bigger one had the trouble, not the smaller one.
The dolls do not really look good on pictures in reality they look much better. I buy the heads, shoulder plate, arms below the elbow and the legs below the knee and make the body from pipe cleaners or fluff sticks so they are bendable, put cotton around the legs and arms, then I dress them and wig them and in André´s case I have to paint the eyes because the lady who paints the faces makes him always brown eyes because she does not knot him, haaaaaaaa. I have a face that is not smiling and looks even more like André, but the lady who made his face, died in February, she also made the Carla face.
Thank you for sharing the pictures of your precious gran-babies, how do you compare them to anything else, they are made with love from God up above. May they continue to grow healthy and bring you much, and many hours of 'joy'. Of course Sir kittie looks quite regal - Oh, yes our Maestro is also unique, made with loving hands - thanks to our Jeanine Ann, her Maestro is all ready to give us a wonderful concert! Thank you again for sharing such happy moments with us Inge!

Hello Jill B love your puppy, We have had 3 cavalier King Charles dogs at different times, our first one was Ben, He was a ruby colour, then max was a Blenhiem and our current dog is Sandy also a Blenhiem. Sandy is almost 13 years old now and quite an old man, He has bother with his joints and can't walk very far and he sleeps qiute a lot too. Each time we have lost a dog we have said right no more, but you miss them so much, I sure your liitle puppy will bring you lots of joy and that he/she will be very happy in there new home.

Y'all know how much I luuurrrvv Andre!!!!! I'm also a dead-set sucker for the right music, with the right voice & right words at the right time in one Artist). I found out that Charlie did not sing the song I was hunting for! I have a cd of Charlie's from when I had no idea who he was, and wore it to death at the time. If ur the 'same type of sucker' than I am - he's worth looking up. Brings me back to - someone with a similar voice/style recorded a song to the tune of 'Danny Boy'...the title was similar to 'I'm just a simple man'...or....'I'm just a humble man...magic words for anyone with a hard working Dad or someone special of Irish descent.....it made me cry & wish I could find it again. Goodness knows what I did with it, but if any of you come across it, please let me know! xxx

A Webmaster (Sally) owns the site (blog and web site) and has moderators like myself, Prudence and Bill who watch the blog, put on articles and photos, moderate and approve the comments. We also keep the spam off. If you want to send any articles, photos of you or your pets, etc. just send to one of us and we will see that they get on. Prudence handles the Birthdays, Bill's interest is the JSO and I guess I take care of Andre things although anyone can put on any article or photo. Sally also puts articles on and works the web site which is a different part of the blog (the hard part)! If you have any more questions just ask any of us. Hugs to you and again WELCOME

Hi Faye, I've been waiting for you to come back.How did you remember so much about the cinema night? Your story is soooo good. I had an awful time controlling myself - no-one even clapped, it was awful.I just had to pretend I was there & enjoy.
Ladies, I must tell you about my adventure! Tonight, Andre took me to New York! I met the crew, watched him at sound-check & rehearsal; he looked absolutely 'spiffing' for me even pre-stage! I met Carla, wearing her Dirndl (I think) -what an amazing voice. Wasn't too keen on his self confessed 'eye for pretty girs' or the fact that he spoke only German or Dutch (just as well I understand body language).
What a sight, seeing him 'dance it up' in rehearsals with the Harlem Gospel Choir (they are amazing). Just love hi animated character as well as that mellow & sexy-eyed introspective mood. How many guys can wear lemon, pink & burgundy together and look so FAB?
I met Manoe - I didn't understand her either but she is a lovely lady & I love her cheeky antics on stage.
Andre drove the bus for a while before taking a nap - phew!!! Someone should have stopped him - he's an absolute hoon! Caught the boys rehearsing in the Men's room-well, what do you expect of them? Carla of course rehearsed elsewhere (what an amnazing voice)! Glad to see that Andre gave staff a little time out for shopping & leisure.
Back at 'the room', Andre was very excited by the very inviting fireplace. I sort of lost the plot when he took more pleasure in playing with the fire (gas remote control I think), than me! I somehow lost my way & having trouble getting back to where we left off! Sorry to say that Andre found it necessary to 'time shuttle' me back to my own reality.
(Once I figure out 'programming, I'll resume, and report in later). HUGS!!xxxx

Yeh, if you're atracted to the music in the first place, this is just extra magic! We all know that much of Andre's music is same or similar - that is the way it is, apart from what he chooses, and is what attracted us in the first place! I love the dvd's which show more of that human side - and love the fact that Andre is always 'on the ball' with what his fans want next!!!!! XXX

Love your Umbrella Jeanine Ann, shame to get it wet;I laughed At Andre' On the Way to New York, there is a lot of a Mischievous little boy in Andre' at times,He gives me many funny moments, in Christmas Around The World, the snow instead of balloons was funny, &in a Fairytale who could get the powers to be at The Efterling to remove a huge garden without really asking, no wonder He's called The Magicial Andre Rieu,where does He get all the energy He seems to be always on the GO ; I know when we saw His concert from Maastricht at the cinema He really is so much on the go in that & to do so many concerts in a row, must be tireing for seeing Him larger than life & every drop of persperation I think I'm still on cloud nine,I know its great to attend a concert live,but to see Andre' so large & lovely on screen was really something ,people around us were clapping & even shedding a few tears at times not something to forget in a long time,the children from Africa were something too, the older ones were insperational, I know Andre' visited them & has said where they were learning was little better than a chook shed, He was upset, & He & Marjorie are doing something about it,What A Family,this World is a better place for them being here, We are fortunate in the fact that with modern technology we can know this Great Man & His Family a little, look at what Pierre does, & Marc's paintings, possibly this is enough from me best I shut up & vote, Have a Great Andre' day all you lovely caring people.xxxooo meow;

Maxine, you ask how I remember what was on The concert from Maastricht, I tried to scribble some of the music on a pad,that was difficult as it was dark, also did'nt want to miss a milli second of The Man, it was so good,so big & beautiful, I wish they had a rerun of it , my report on it was scabby, I usually write as I think ,this concert was different with Kimmi,& The Children from Africa, also The backdrops were new, Andre' usually has different ones for The Maastricht Anthem & a few others,but The ones He had of the stained glass windows,the African skyline with a plane tree I think they are called,also the inside of a church for The Halleluiah
Chorus from Handels Messiah, plus the Tenors & the Girls singing, This concert ia one if it comes out on dvd should be a Must Have, up till now I've felt Maastricht 3 to be The Best, this last one hopefully will be hard to improve on, & yet each concert seems to have improved if thats possible; Jeanine Ann, thats a great photo shame His Eyes are'nt open, I'm picky am I not, you know I think how I feel about His Eyes, I said to the Lady next to me in the cinema I could drown in His Eyes, She said can I come with you we can both drown happily; memories are great are'nt they!!!!

Hi Sylvia, Debbie is right there is not much you can order by phone, but i have seen this dvd on HMV website and they do take telephone orders i believe. Not sure if this right edition has different cat no, to that which you show. It's worth a try just go to hmv.com and type in which what dvd you want as they do not list all on there pages of Andre, hope this helpsxx

Hi Debbie, we have not had any news about the twins today, but yesterday they were doing fine, mother stays in the hospital to nurse them and I hope my son is phoning or skyping today, he is busy at work and they moved just 2 days before the twins came so soon and everything is a little chaotic in their new home, but he tries to fix everything before they all come home. He is finally back on the internet, but I am waiting for new pictures.

I'm not sure if you will be able buy Andre in wonderland, over the phone, as it is mostly all done by internet these days, as long as you have got all of your anti-virus and spy-ware programes up to date, you shouldn't have to much of a problem to order on line. If this is so i think that very unfair as i'm sure Andre doesn't mind - look at all the lovely videos and photo's Jeanine Ann got. Think i'll have to send a petition in. Hi Kay, that is strange. We always take photos here. I would check with the venue and ask them. Now I don't use flash since I have built in light but others do and nothing is said. I just put it in my purse and we must open our bags here and they do inspect but never say anything. I think they are looking for other things. Hugs

Kay in Montréal it is also printed on the tickets that photographing and taking videos is not permitted, but nobody gives a hoot, they are all standing in front of the stage and video and flash in André´s face. I think it is forbidden because of the disturbing flash in their faces. Also it says on the steps printed, please no flowers during performance, only in the encores, but that also is never kept. But Jeanine Ann, I never had my handbag checked.

Hello Josephine and Kay, would like to run this idea by you, If it sounds crazy then that's o.k. I am crazy, especially when it comes to our Andre. I intend to send a letter addressed Andre himself a few days before his concert at the Newcastle Arena telling him of the photo ban I was hoping that maybe he would tell the audience that he had no objection to photographs being taken. A long shot I know, He may never even get the letter, but I thought it might be worth a try, what think you Ladies? O.K.So i'm potty,......Over Andre, Yes yes yes.

Hi girls, I would just put your camera in your purse. I usually take an Andre tote bag and put my concert scarf in along with the purse with the camera inside or at the bottom of the tote bag. They looked in the tote bag and in the purse but did not go through each item in the tote bag. They presume it is all Andre stuff when they see the scarf. I wear my Andre button and look like a typical fan : ) I think as long as they don't see a large professional type camera you are okay. But do take your camera with you. The venue will probably check with the promoters and get the okay for cameras. Keep us posted. Hugs

Jeanine Ann, can I be so bold as to ask where & when the Photo of Andre' sitting was taken, its A "lu lu" love it, I wonder have any of you studied all the different faces we see of this Lovely Man,or is it just me, I know I always study peoples faces, I find that in the concerts From Maastricht, Andre' always looks Happier & more relaxed, this is understanderable, I guess He's at Home& on his own turf, also can you imagine the tourist influx He brings to His Home City,;Re the camera's, on tickets here in Australia it says the same no cameras or recording devices,yet I noticed lots of flashes on the night we went, I had a bag with wraps in it for coming home & the person collecting our tickets asked to look inside,[very nicely]; SYLVIA, maybe you could ring Amazon,,I think they are U K. based, but any good HI FI type shop should have Andre's dvds, & cds. Well I guess you have not read that report. It was from Reading, Pa concert. When they do the "party time" thing (after the Clog Dance) Frank takes photos of Andre and hands them to Andre who in turn throws them from the stage. Well you know what this does to us women- we all try to get the photo with the "fingerprints", DNA and such. So I made a leap for the photo (was in the first row) and I guess my heel slipped out from under me and I ended up flat on my fanny in front of the entire place. It happened so fast but then I felt these hands under my arms and Joe Fabrizio who was sitting beside me and Clyde pulled me up so fast I didn't know what happened. I got the Polaroid too. I really held on to that. The second concert we were in the first row but to the left of stage (our left) and I thought he will never throw it over this far but here comes the photo. It came right over toward my seat and then started rolling back the aisle so I quickly got off my chair and slid on my knees and got it before another lady did. If looks could kill I would be dead. I should have let her have it but when it comes to Andre's fingerprints on something I just could not be my generous self. It was embarrassing but I put it into my report and made it funny. So that is the story. What we women will go through to get anything Andre. Hugs
Hello Judith, I sincerely feel for you with your neck & back problem , about 30 years ago I had a car accident, the seat belt possibly saved my life , but it ruptered discs in my neck ,I went throuh years of agony The tablets I took 3 times daily I look back & wonder that I'm not an addict, but in desparation I had Accapuncture done with a laser, I needed about 10 doses or whatever they call it,the dr. told me most people need about 6 or 7 , but I have to admit I've had no trouble since thank God because I'd also developed migrain from this accident, another cocktail of drugs for that, the accupuncture worked, I rarely even get a mild headache [unless my darling computer wont work] just a thought wish Andre had been around then I find His Music Sooooo relaxing, hope you do too, sometimes when your uptight with pain His Lovely Music is soooo soothing, hope it helps you too;

Hi Jan, if you don't like Facebook and Twitter (I don't either) why don't you try MySpace. I am giving you my address there and you can look at the nice page you can build and it is not hard to do. I could help you through it. The HTML code for the photos you put on is generated by Photobucket or any other place that has photos or graphics. All you need to do is work from your home page which no one can see but you. The page I am showing you is my profile page that everyone sees so you control what you put on and the people on MySpace are different. They don't get into controversial issues except animal lovers will put their causes on and that is fine. But no one can touch your page. You can fix it that all comments must be approved by you before they go on your page and most everyone is beautiful. I love MySpace and I am thinking of cancelling my private page for Facebook and just keep andrerieufans page on. Hope you like it. You other ladies can do this too. Hugs

Hi Kay, cameras used to be banned from most venues. I think the concern is the big flash bulbs going off which could disturb those on stage, or adversely affect official video taping, 'pirates' with big cameras etc., also security. These days most cameras are very 'light' on the flash and not a concern. Hope I'm right - I'd be very disappointed too if I can't get some great pics in October. All the best! xxx

Hi Kay, are you sitting on the floor section? If so you know you can go to the stage at the encores and snap away all you want. Andre encourages this and we do it every time. That is when I get my best photos as long as I don't shake too much. Even at my first concert in Miami I was sitting on the mezzanine and could still walk down to the stage. I was so desperate because that was the first time I ever saw him live and I was in awe of him that I could hardly hold my camera but I did manage to get some photos. But anyway I don't know where you are sitting so maybe that is an option for you and also for the others who are going. Hugs
Hi Jeanine Ann, Yes i am on floor section but second block - my niece and her husband are going with me - but they wouldn't do that and i don't think i would have courage to do it myself. But you never know i might get so desperate to see him up close maybe i will. They certainly would be shaky photos though.xxx
Now I get what you mean, didn't realise you'll be so far back. I'm thinking you need more of a telephoto lense rather than big flash - not that I know a great deal about cameras. Some of the small ones take shots from a long distance; maybe visit a camera shop for info & ask the Venue what the distance is between your seat and the stage? xxx

Kay, that's disappointing, I know that I would ve very disappointed. I wonder if you could start making your way slowly forward after the break towards encore - from what I've seen the Encore can go for quite a while. Hi all you lucky & excited people waiting for concerts. Most digital cameras, including the Aldi cheapies that are fantastic with many megapixels & often a zoom, have a menu with a night photography setting so you can turn the flash off & not bother Andre or the JSO. The stage lighting is more than enough. I agree a good zoom is essential. Above all, enjoy the concert & don't get strung out about photography. There are plenty of photos on the web.
Hi Ladies Just got an emailback from O2 saying please contact them 2 weeks before the concert but they suspect small digital cameras will be allowed as they normally are at concerts So thats ok then. Prepare to be photographed from all conceivables angles and positions Andre. Here us UK girls come There aint no stoppin us now
Hi Dearest Ladies Been watching Andre's New York Roadsoap whilst tackling the dreaded ironing. Oh how I hate it. Anyway got through a great big pile without even noticing The things Andre can do for us. Amazing.What a fantastic boss he is He likes his gang to work hard as he is prepared to too. But then he allows them playtime. No wonder no one ever leaves or calls in sick . It's a pity a lot more bosses don't take a leaf out of Andre's book and realise how much more they would gain with a happy workforce. How many people I wonder can say they really enjoy their job. Elizabeth, I don't know about Jeanine Ann's tote & button, but many of these items are created by Andre fans themselves
Many are quite creative, I've got t-shirts & sweatshirts, a coffee mug,buttons, address labels, stamps, stationary, bumper stickers. If you can think of it you can get your own creative juices flowing & create your own. Sometimes you can find items on ebay that have been created by other people.
I am planning to have a t-shirt made with a design I created for myself, & my younger sister & her husband do leather work & they made me a special Andre billfold.
Just use your imagination & I'm sure you could come up with some original items yourself. Anything to help promote Andre.
Hi Shirley thanks for your ideas, I did manage to "make" an Andre money box, from a money tin that you can buy quite cheaply in the shops, Scrubbed the label off (which said Swear Box) and copied Andre photos on a sheet of a4 which covered the whole tin, That's my Maastricht spending fund. I will see if I can get some blank Buttons, (badges) and make my own. thanks again

When I got home Postman Pat had been with my tickets WooWoo As I said before I am not happy with my seats as I am in Block A3 Row U and they were the best available even though I was sitting,finger poised the minute they went on sale. It's not fair that the big boys buy up all the best seats in advance and then sell them at silly prices Anyway hopefully people will be moving around taking pictures But knowing us Brits we will all be sat in our seats like dummies I do hope not

Okay girls if you want to look less conspicuous when walking up (don't go until the Radetzky March and the balloons come down) everyone is looking at and playing with balloons, just hold your camera up as though you are trying to get a good closeup and keep walking. Think of it as your one big chance to get some good photos and share the same air space with His Gorgeousness. Andre loves an enthusiastic audience and it helps determine whether or not he returns to a certain venue so try not to be too shy. Hugs
In the DVD of the wedding at the Dresden Opera House, one sees Andre in a shop that sells Meissen. In the Opera House,he has two singers dressed as Meissen dolls singing. Did he ever give the married couple some real Meissen china? Sylvia. Hugs

Hi Fay & Josephine,and other friends. Of course Andre is my Prince Charming - but alas! The slipper don't fit & a fairytale is a fairytale. Of course he has so much more than sex appeal, which by the way, is a really big part of his sex appeal (to all of us intelligent women).
My Prince Charming sent 'The Mad Hatter' to collect his Princess - me- tonite & take me to a party. This Princess (actually, a New Age Witch wearing a Tina Turner style lilac wig, tons of make up & jewellery & some glitz) had a lovely time. The very entertaining 'Mad Hatter' drove me home & made sure that I was safely returned to my Prince Charming (in the absence of 'the real deal'). It will probably take me 2 hours to remove the thousand hairpins from this wig and the slathering of make up from my face before i go to bed. Amazed by the number of young people who sneered at us walking down the street (some gave the thumbs up). Don't young people know how to have real fun these days? By the way they dress in broad daylight these days, I can't imagine how I was in any way out of place-ha,ha!!!. Should I be embarrassed at walking down the street on a Saturday nite in a crazy purple wig & lookin' like a very middle aged combo. of Tina Turner and The Witch of the West - or is that North??? At least I went out & had innocent night of fun with good friends, - and no one complained when I got home! A momentary 'we're not impressed' look from Jazz & Bronte (doggies) but that was easily fixed with a treat and a big loving hug. (Gimme a man like that & I'll go out of my way)! ANYWAY, Prince Charming is providing a very soothing ambiance around me just now & preparing me for a good night's sleep!
Isn't it good to come home to a safe place and a good man? What a pity that slipper didn't fit - ah, well!!! Back to reality ladies. A little escapism with good friends sharing innocent fun, and some Andre romantic magic does wonders for helping to heal a broken heart (I hope). Not sure if photos at the venue turned out as it was really dark & I only had the mobile phone camera. If there's a clear one at all I'm happy to share if you'd like to see - then maybe you can tell me why young people laughed at me (ha, ha - as if I care).

No, you don't need a French lesson here. just the sweet, red, blackcurrant liqueur..
mix with anything you like. you like champagne? fix a Kir Royale, 1 prt.crème de cassis, 5 prt. champagne
Dijon is the city where the best berries come from.
If you like you can mix a Dutch punch,gin,cranberry juice,grapefruit juice, crème de cassis.
Since this is a berry liqueur it is also very good to use as a dessert sauce.
Let your imagination run wild.

Having said that though I am off to Trafalgar Square London tomorrow. My 17yr old nephew plays the steel pans and there is a big concert on. He is one of the few kids who does have good inocent fun Well when we are watching anyway I wonder whar size that slipper is I'm a 5 but can struggle into a 4 or stretch to a 6 if it means bagging my Prince Andre. I don't know sometimes whether to find it funny or sad that young people don't have a sense of humour and a sense of good, clean fun! I attended the party tonite with a friend young enough to be my son - we were both invited & didn't have other partners so we made a mutual arrangement for travel etc.,. (Oooh, the looks!!!). I feel proud that someone much younger finds me to be a loyal friend and a 'fun and interesting character' to be around at appropriate times, and in a very platonic & appropriate way, as I do him, as well as sharing the ability to converse on a mutual level on varying topics & intersts. When I was young, it was always a good thing for a younger person to 'connect' with those a bit older. These days seem different, we live in a suspicious & uncaring World at times. Enjoy your nephews 'gig'. We need to see more of the younger generation 'expressing' themselves in a good, clean environment. Whether we like what they do or not, I for one think it's all about support for their Individuality as well as helping them to stay on the positive path in life!
***I don't have bed bugs!!!!! Unless u count Andre waking me up in the middle of the night for more attention - ha, ha!!!!!! HUGSxxxx
PS - Slipper size??? - UK sizes differ to mine and are lower. I'm anywhere between 7 and 8 here in OZ depending on width (darn those bunyons, & Cinderella was most likely at least two shoe sizes smaller)! I've seen video of Andre 'sniffin' a Ladies shoe at some time - not my favourite revelation of his character-i.e., Andre and Cindarella theory out the window!!!!!!

I agree whole=heartedly about the generation mix - doesn't Andre do a great job with this? I was brought up to 'experience, bridge and enjoy & respect' the generation gap. It doesn't mean life was perfect - just means that everyone tried hard!

Hello all , sounds like you had a really lovely night out,Jan,life is too short to be miserable I reckon, outings of any sort with friends are Special,we went out last week for lunch,It was Narelle's birthday,we went with a friend who We've known since she was 6 , Her Mother, younger sister came out from Italy The year Narelle was born 1959, I became friends with Mum to help Her with English lessons ,gosh we had some funny conversations, the girls would stay with me after school when mum started working, & often we took them with us on holidays,the eldest girl is more like a daughter to me than my own youngest its nice to have someone close like that, when She got married Her Husband said not many men had 2 mothers in law, ha ha,anyway where we went for lunch we sat outside in the sun, & for the first time in years I saw a blue wren, soo lovely!! birds a rare these days those bbbb mina birds are a PEST they chase all the native birds away; Andre' loves birds in one of His documentarys we see the lovely extension he built a bit like a hot house, He has lovely birds plants & butterflys, a beautiful Man with a beautiful mind, I know I rave on I believe Andre & Marjorie are one of a kind I cant think of anyone else who does or has done the like of Andre' & His JSO do, who has as many dvds on the market as Andre' does, they don't just sit on the shelves either, they sell out very FAST, cds likewise; Then we have those EYES, they sure are something else, I looked into those eyes once at Blacktown, I'll never better that, I carry that memory always, I've been blest,;don't forget to vote, have a lovely Andre' day all.xxxooo.
