I rang Ticketek this morning to confirm our tickets for Andre's new date in May. They told me they haven't had any cancellations. So that's good, everyone is happy just to wait till Andre is well enough to come.
So now we have another 8 months with something to look forward to.

Meanwhile today have been watching 'My African Dream' on Ovation (Australia) and like all of you, cried through it.
Especially for me and the thoughts of my short visit to Cape Town in 1967, I am part Maori and although do not look it, my Maori name is on my passport, and I was asked on entry, if I was going in as black or white. Luckily I said white.
I do hope your concerts help all if us, black white and khaki.

Good evening all. I see our Darling man has just been awarded Media Company of the Year Award. Pierre had to accept it on his behalf. How wonderful for Andre but how very sad that he was not well enough to accept it himself. All his hard work and dedication is now coming to fruition and at the moment he can take no pleasure in it. He must be still worried about his health. I do hope he is able to think positive thoughts but I bet at times he finds it a struggle. I expect the lemonade tastes quite sharp at the moment don't you Jeanine Ann. I hope he enjoyed his Birthday. I can't put into words how much I feel for him atthe moment Anyway I am sure that he is resting and recovering his strength. Big warm hugs xx

not much to share today,its wet & miserable , we can always do with rain & I can't think of a better excuse to curl up with Jasper & guess Who Else,I think perhaps SA would be a good place to revisit, well named My South African Dream I wonder is It Marjorie & Andre' who come up with the titles to the dvds they are most expressive & relate very well to each dvd, I never can pass up the chance to purchase new ones I wait impatiently for the post, I've found that more reliable, the shops tell you a dvd or cd will be in on a certain date & of course you go expecting to buy, only to get the answer oh its not in yet, they ppppps me off especially when you ring to ask when it will be in & your told tomorrow, a good saying tomorrow never comes its true of dvd outlets , so the last 3 I have bought via Ovation on the web they tell you order received, then order fullfilled , when that happens you know its on the way, my grandaughter tells me I use " snail mail," that gave me a laugh, our mail is good here, snails & all; I do hope our Lovely Andre is starting to feel more like Himself, it will give Marjorie a break , she will have been having "a time" with an impatient Gentleman I fancy; great day to all .xxx ooo miow;

Good morning dear friends. Ah yes 'the fall' Brings to mind beautiful
colours, crisp golden leaves,wonderful time of year. Unfortunately the only thing falling here in Uk is rain rain rain and soggy wet leaves. Yuk. Poor bedragled Mr and Mrs pheasant are sheltering gloomily under the hedge. Oh well nothing else for it,got to be an Andre day so every cloud has a silver lining.Well that brings to mind the beautiful song my Nan used to sing to me.LOOK FOR THE SILVER LINING. Sooo I went looking for it on youtube and have just enjoyed The wonderful Mario Lanza and Judy Garland versions.Have a good day all xx
ah yes, Fall, one of my favorite seasons of the year, only to be topped by Spring. Today is nice & sunny but cool, cooler than I like, about 50°.
But I am having a problem with my mail,(my isp I suppose.#%*#), no mail for two days makes me go bonkers! HA, what did I do before computers? (don't answer that).
I think I am just having a kind of meltdown.

Hi Shirley, SYSTEM RESTORE might work on that. You have nothing to lose. It's
better than the 'Ordeal" of calling the
IP. I hate when I have to call my TECH-SUPPORT or IP! I always avoid that by
using SYSTEM RESTORE! WORKS FOR ME!Last
night, though, I couldn't get the Internet. I wanted to see if there was
anything new in the GB. I went into
SYSTEM RESTORE. Wound up with same problem. Called my IP. said they are
having problem with INTERNET CONNECTION,
and Engineers are working to solve the problem! If I have to wait for something
I feel like I am waiting forever. I said
the heck with this. Now, this AM
everything is alright. BTW, it's 7;30 AM
In Reading, PA, I'm having my 1st coffee
and listening to my custom-arranged CD
of THE MAESTRO's WALTZ's, MARCHES, and
INSTRUMENTALS. THAT,the GB, coffee!
Great way to start the day. The thing about it, it doesn't cost any money!
Back again to where we were before we were. yrs ago, I had trouble with my
E-mail window, I called IP. They said
presently, they are having trouble with
E-mail service! Shortly after that,
everything was alright. I might be wrong
in this, if was your IP, everybody in
that would have trouble, and it wouldn't
last 2 days. HEH, a few mos ago, I wasn't getting E-mails for a couple
days. No way! I get at least commercial
E-mails ea day! I called my TECH- SUPPORT, they "passed the buck" to the
IP. I called IP. They "passed the buck"
to my TECH-SUPPORT. What's new about
"lip-service"! How many times! Somehow,
eventually, things went back to normal.
I think it was the IP. They were
"dodging" the issue! The steps in
SYSTEM RESTORE are "tricky" if you don't
know them. The 1st time, I was guided
thru them, by a TECH-SUPPORT LADY.
Ladies in TECH-SUPPORT are usually more
congenial! I didn't know how anybody
could remember all the steps. The only reason, I know them, I got Educational
CD-ROMS on how to do anything on the
Computer. There's a lot I wouln't know
if it wasn't for them! Comes at a nice
price though. So you see, Shirley,
money is everything! HEH, When I lived
in SOUTH FLORIDA, I had a good friend.
We would drink beer and listen to
COUNTRY+ WESTERN MUSIC! No way a person
can listen to C+W Music without beer!
From time to time things came up that
involved money! I would always say; "so
you see,money is everything"! Floyd
would always reply the same; "You know
it"! He had lung trouble from working
with "asbestos" in earlier yrs. Prior to
passing away, my wrist was the size of
his upper arm! He was one of the few
people, in my life, I really completely
liked! I hate to be assuming, SHIRLEY,
but I would try SYSTEM RESTORE! Can't hurt! If you don't know the steps, get
back to me! I've done it so many times,
I have it "down pat"! Can't do without
your E-mails! Try to have a nice day.
Myself, I have a financial problem to
straighten out today. Residual from the
merry mo. of SEPT1 Merry? Yeah, right!
Michael, I've never had to use system restore at all. I'm very careful about downloading & I have two anti-spyware programs & a very good anti-virus that keeps me out of trouble. I would only use the restore in an emergency because it can change the registry. Also if I've downloaded a program that seems to make my computer unstable I just go to the control panel & remove the program. My e-mail problem is with the isp mail server, they are having problems,I just talked with them & they are working on it.Seems everybody is having the same problems, at least those with this particular company. I am on cable broadband & I usually don't have any problems at all, they even have a great spam program so I don't get that stuff in my mail. I can go onto their spam blocker page to see if there is any legitimate e-mails & i can have that delivered to my inbox, the rest of the stuff I can just delete, never have to open it . really handy. I am starting to get my mail, although sporatically, they just told me to keep trying. Thanks again for your reply.
SHIRLEY, I see! The only thing I can say
is all the things I do System Restore,
Disc Defragmentation, deleting cookies,
temporary files. browsing history,all work well for me. Lately, I checked my
Hardware Diagnostics. Everything is
fine! The Smart Short Self is the thing
there.Allowance is 2 min. A few days
ago, I had 1 and 3/4 min. the 1st time. 1 1/2 the 2nd. I think that's pretty good for a Computer over 2 1/2 yrs old!
When I 1st got it, I used to give up
waiting for it to get finished! So, I'll keep doing what I've been doing!
I have anti-virus, and do Full-scan
twice a wk. After I got Spam mail from
something, I subscribed to, I was having
trouble with viruses. 1 time I had 5!
I cancelled the Spam mail. no more
viruses! I have had problems already
with ISP, But they got it together in short order. A Tech-support once told me, System Restore can hurt the
computer. I thought that's what it's
for! When I started "burning" CD's, a
Tech told me I can only put 16 to 18
songs on a blank Cd, Because there's
only so much free space on the disc drive! OUTRAGEOUS! Blank CD's hold up
to 80 min. I could go on about afew
other things, but I don't want this too lengthy! What you're doing works for
you! What I'm doing works for me! That's
the main thing! Have a nice rest of the day!

I couldn't get to it 'til now at 2 PM.
Again, for certain reasons, things usually have to be put on a "to do"
list. One has to keep his "boat afloat"
or it won't be afloat! You ladies missed
your calling; you should have been
Script-writers or Best-novel writers.
You could have made a fortune! As it is,
I'm on the computer while in my "work-
out" session! Kills 2 birds with 1
stone! Bet you can't guess whose music
I'm listening to? Right now it's BOLERO!
That should give me some "GUSTO"! You
know, Shirley, I could never understand
how some people never, but never work-
out. It makes you feel and look better!
Now THE PASO DOBLE! That's really a good work-out no. But, to get to the
Computer Subject. When I got my computer
in Jan 08, it was specifically to "burn"
CD's. That is to put the music I like
on blank CD's, so I would only hear what I want to hear! That is the most
intricate thing I have done on a
computer. I haven't bothered with a lot
of things, since they wouldn't be used,
anyway. It's sort of a cross between that and being busy with personal and
financial affairs! It would be nice if
we had time to do everything we want to
do! Shirley, I presume this BELARC ADVISOR instructs a person how to do things. I probably have the same thing
on my CD-ROMS. These are specifically
for "WINDOWS VISTA", which I have! Out of curiousity, I will check it out somewhere along the way. actually, if I
didn't have acomputer, it would be like
not having my right hand. Too, I must
be doing something, with all the E-mails
I can't delete! There are a lot! See ya,

Hello Michael, Belarc is the best tool you can have on your computer. It tells you what is on your computer from every program to every drive, operating system, every Windows update and when you got them. In short, everything on your computer is on that report and you can update it as often as you want. I have used it many times when we must call tech support and they want to know this and that - you have all the information right at your fingertips. Now this may not be of importance to you . It all depends on what you need to know at any given time. I use my computer every day and all day long it is available to me since I work on the blog and do research for same.
I did not want to interfere in your conversation with Shirley but I just thought I would tell you a little about the Belarc program. You download the elements which allow Belarc to gather the information and it does it in less than a minute and then you can print it if you like. This information may help others who need to know exactly what is on that computer. I got my first computer when I lived in Florida in 1997 and knew nothing about it. I went to many computer classes and just worked with it and now have a fair understanding of what it is all about. I hardly ever use it for recreation but mostly for research and work. It is a tremendous learning tool if you know where to go. Of course I have my Facebook and MySpace pages but hardly ever go there unless I get a message from someone. I love MySpace and have a beautiful page set up for Andre but Facebook has sort of taken over and even though I don't like it (Facebook) I have a page set up for this blog and a personal page for myself. MySpace is more refined (IMHO) and you can be more creative when setting up your page. Of course Facebook is more interactive and the fans just want to talk back and forth and don't have the time to look at the page you have created as in MySpace. So it is a matter of what appeals to you.
Well enough of that Michael. You are probably not interested in MySpace so I don't want to bore you. You are wise to do your work-out. That is good for the body. I guess the computer is more to work out the brain. Always a pleasure to talk with you. See you later.
Thanks Jeanine Ann, you explain it very well. I might add it's free & a lot of military & NASA use it, not sure of who else, but it really does give you such a detailed report. It showed me a couple of things that needed to be fixed & I did it. I use it about once a month & like you Jeanine Ann, I have printed out the report to take to our computer tech. I love it.
Well, JEANINE ANN and SHIRLEY: It's 4;20AM, I couldn't sleep, I figured I
might as well take a glimpse at some things on the computer. After just browsing at JEANINE ANN's "post", I figured I'll be here for a while, so might as well get some coffee. No way I
can be on the computer without coffee!
Things about me on the computer aren't
as "cut and dry" as they appear to be.
In fact, I don't think anything's "cut
and dry"! So, here are my "frustrations"
about the computer! Deep down, I would
really like to know everything about the
computer from 1 end to the other! I like
to think the"time factor" is the main hindrance. Second, If Something isn't
considered important, it's "force of habit', I don't concern with it! F'r
instance, When I got my computer there was a full rebate on a "Printer"! That
was Jan 08, I have yet to hook it up!
Indeed, there have been times I could have used it. I just avoided the issue' REBATES! Did you ladies know if they can
get out of paying rebates they will? If
I went into details how many times I was
"shafted" on rebates, or they tried to,I
would go past the 3000 limit. When I went to computer classes in Ft.
Lauderdale, the subject was somehow brought up! The Instructor said if they
can get out of rebates, they will! Same thing goes for "travel" rebates! They're
phony, too! Rules on them are very
stringent! Problem with Computer Class,
in an hr and 1/2 so much was talked
about. there seemed to be a"mental
block". After a couple classes I was just watching the clock, and decided to
quit going! I like the way it is on my
Computer Educational CD-ROMS. I can always go over and over what I don't
pick up. To make a long story short,
in a few mos, between some nice Tech-
Support Ladies explaining different ways
to do things, Computer Classes, computer Books, CD-ROMs, it all
culminated in the things I needed to know, to do what I wanted to do. Less
than any of these these I would be at a disadvantage! There are some things one
can't figure out by himself. Facebook,
MySpace! You might as well be speaking a
foreign language. Javascript! Is that another name for coffee or some Island
in the SOUTH PACIFIC! How did anybody
"coin" a word like "TWITTER"? You know,
SHIRLEY and JEANINE ANN, for 12 yrs in SO FL, Things I did resulted in a nice life-style here in Rdg! I hate to think
of all the time it would take to get together what I have here! This BELARC
sounds interesting. I will definitely
have to check it out! Why haven't I heard of this before now? INTERESTING!

P.S. Only a few mos ago, I told someone
about the only thing I use my computer for is to check Lottery Nos. THINGS
never stay the same!
haha, I mean about only using your computer to check the lottery.In 1995 I got my first computer
and it was a used one from an office that a friend gave me. It didn't even have Windows 95 0n it.
I got W95 to learn on & it was mostly just a thing to play solitare on. Then got myself a new computer,
told my husband, I have a $2000 solitare machine here! Got me a "dummy book"to learn a lot of things
, then kept upgrading Windows, but all this was before I retired & computers
were not my priority . Still a lot like that as I limit my time. Between e-mail & researching things
keeps me busy, but I'm still learning a lot about how things work. Nowhere near as much of a guru
as Sally or Jeanine Ann. Don't have time for the social networking sites like Facebook etc. I'm too much
of a face to face talker. Besides with eye problems I'm limited to the amount of time.
But without a computer I would not have found Andre Rieu & all the friends & fans.
As for rebates, you're right, I hardly ever bother with them any more. Too much of a hassle.
I'm telling you, Shirley! When a Lady-friend of mine, came here from Florida,
would you believe, to see the Maestro's
concert here in Reading, APR 08, I made arrangements for the flight and car-rental. I was solicited for for rebates
on rental and gas. But, at least they were promotions. one was $1, the other didn't cost anything. When it started,
I was supposed to get back $54 on one,
and $20 on the other. The 1st one; I didn't get anything,since she wasn't my wife. The car had to be put in her name
since she had the license, But I paid
for the whole rental. There was amistake on the gas, and they told me I went past the dead-line. Before I hung up the phone, I said; "you just don't
want to pay the money"! The other I got $10 instead of $20, because of some
stipulation. When I call Credit Card Cos, they get on my nerves with their
solicitations. They don't take no for an answer either. It's ridiculous! I
don't think a person has too much "sand"
if they say no to something then later
agrees to it because the party keeps "babbling". But, I would have been lost,without a computer, when I
moved to Pa. from South Fl. in Jan 09!
It was though the carpet was rolled out for me. I started looking for an ap't
by way of computer. There must be some kind of connection to the long-distance
moving cos. you can't believe all the
calls I got. They practically beg you
to take them. To make a long story
short, I took one that had a great rate.
It's agood thing, because I got a great
truck-driver to go with it. I guess we
know what most tractor-trailor drivers
are like! If I'd ever do a long-distance
move again, I wouldn't want anybody
else. He was pleased with me too. When I
talked to him on the phone, I told him,
I had 2 guys to help me, I estimated it
would take an hr and a half. He said he
appreciated that. Your allowed 6 hrs.
when we were finished, I told him, we did it in hr.,10 min. My lower legs were
like rubber a long time time before we
were finished. The stuff was put outside
a long time before he got there, but in Fl. it can rain anytime ,which it did.
So it had to be kept under cover. So we
had to move the stuff in hand-carts 100
yards to the truck, go up a 20 ft ramp, then all the way to thefront of the
trailor. 2 of us "trucked" the things.
That weight-lifting equipment isn't light! the other guy placed it as we brought it in. A couple beers hit the spot after all that. That was 1 case
where it paid off to be in good shape.
I "lucked" out getting a storage facility. I didn't have an ap't prior to
getting to Rdg. Since I'm from Rdg, I
know where all the locations are. I really couldn't find a suitable
location. Then a moving co. called, I told him I was already committed, but in
the conversation, I told him I couldn't
find a suitable location. So he E-mailed
me 10 Storage facilities, of which 1 hit
the spot. I had the same siuation here with my ap't on the 6th fl. I gave ea
mover $40 tip
Seems like there isn't much to put in the GB with The Maestro's illness. Nice to hear he is doing better. He is an overly healthy person and should return to normal! I can just see the applause
he gets on his 1st return to the stage!
Very befitting. Other than DVD's, I have, by count, 11 CD's! Some of these
CD's are custom-arranged for my suitability! I just can't let things
alone! 2 of these CD's are WALTZ'S,
MARCHES,and only INSTRUMENTAL.One is
only VOCAL! To include,among the "favorites": HALLELUJAH CHORUS, my
favorite CHRISTMAS SONG, O HOLY NIGHT
(I loved the sound of this on my trumpet), and the NAGASAKI CHILDREN's
CHORUS singing "SILENT NIGHT"! I don't doubt that I don't have them all!
The 2 CD's that are only instrumental
comprise a total of 140 min.(I am now listening to one of them, ADIEU,Little
CPTAIN OF MY HEART)! So that's 20 Min.

1 INSTRUMENTAL after the other! Doesn't
get better than that! Some of the
reason, other than being creative, is to
put up to 80 min. on a "blank CD"! With
my CD player, holding 3 CD's, that' a total of 240 min! "Set it and forget it"! Heh, I always think back, I
combined 2 of the MAESTROS CD's into 1!
Get this; 1 was 49 min., 1 was 39 min. I
always wondered were they done
intentionally, or could one construe
that as "co-incidence"! Knowing the
MAESTRO, who knows? It's a good thing
thing I have this, In REALITY, it's my
only link to the MAESTRO! I highly
doubt he will get to Reading, PA, USA!
He will probably, with his regret, cut
back on his "TOUR SCHEDULE". He'd better! I saw where PIERRE said his TOUR
SCHEDULE was "ABSURD"! What's "new"? I've Known that ever since I started
looking at his SCHEDULE from 2008! It
didn't "wash"! He must have a strong heart I am confident that someday I will get to the "German" part of
SWITZERLAND! I am sure ZURICH will be
on his TOUR! I WILL be there( I am now
hearing the PASO DOBLE),no matter what,
and it will truly be, in the MAESTRO's
words, "A NIGHT TO REMEMBER"! Also, with
the MAESTRO's "abscense", I find myself
more appreciative and there is more
"ACCENT" coming from his Music than
before. SEPT. for me was a "WASH-OUT",
and my "Birthday" Month no less!
P.S. I have to retract my wording of
the MAESTRO recieving "APPLAUSE" upon
his RETURN. I'm sure it will be a NON- ENDING STANDING OVATION! We've missed
him, and he truly deserves no less!
It goes without saying; Some of that NON-ENDING STANDING OVATION will be for

Michael, how true I too imagine what a standing ovation it will be for Andre's first concert back,can you think of the JOY it will be for those who are there, I think His first concert will be in Belgium, I could be wrong ,I have that in my mind, the part that does'nt go blank to often; what a nice idea those balloons were I can imagine Andre' waking up to find them tied to their gate, a beautiful surprise for a Beautiful Person; we have so many Lorikeets about at the moment they are after the nectar in all the new blossoms, I wonder in His Orangerie does Himself have anything similar, here you can buy a special formular to feed them ,some people feed them bread soaked with water & honey which is bad for their little tongues, I love to see them their colours are glorious, mind you Jasper yaps at them through the screen door, He knows birds are a no no, likewise Lizards, we have some lovely skinks about & he stalks them brings them to me Hanging from His mouth like one of those moustaches that hang down He does'nt kill just brings them home as a gift saying look how clever I am !! I have to rescue the poor things, I only let Him out early in the morning before the sun is too high so He does'nt get sunburnt, & usually its too early for lizards, but He's canny & waits for Narelle to go outside & gets out too easily have a lovely day all;;;;

Good evening dear friends. It has been a fabulous day here in UK. Been able to get out into the garden and tidy up before winter. Feel like I have done a good days work. Very satisfying On a sad note. One of our favourites Norman Wisdom passed away today. A great man.Filled our lives with innocent fun and laughter.I learnt today he wrote the words to White Cliffs of Dover a song I am sure we all know and love sung by Vera Lynn xx

Good morning all , Norman wisdom is a blast from the past, no doubt He has gone to The White Cliffs in the sky,,why is it we always think of Heaven as being up, maybe its Just around the corner, & we need to stop at the red light & wait for the green to say Go ;[ being crazy helps ]; I bought a set of Andre' "Around The World", when they arrived I realised I already had them under different covers, But there are a few differences,on Andre In Dublin among the extras is Lost Heroes, it is sung by a voice I can't recognise, it is nice to have The Words Sung to that piece of music, its very moving,& the filming behind it show men arriving at what looks like Dunkirk, then it changes to The World Trade Centre after it was attacked, with Andre' standing looking at The Aftermarth, you know This Man Has a Big Caring Heart, am I right in believing this? ,it goes beyond putting on a concert,I have picked this up on a number of occasions, I noticed this when we saw Him in Blacktown, when He was on a promotion tour, & on My African Dream, we also witness this with The emotions He allows us to see, I can't remember any other person in the world of "Show Business" who lets us share these raw emotions eh!have a lovely Andre' Day all;

I had the pleasure to be at Andre's opening concert in South Africa hosted at Sun City. He was moved by the warm welcome of the audience and later in the show tears were running down his face when Kimmy sang My African Dream. What a man, what a performer! When I first got a computer 11 years ago I couldn't think of anything to do with it and only checked emails a couple of times a week and played solitaire like Shirley.

I thought I was a big deal because I was playing solitaire on the computer, but what a long way we have all come. Thanks to lovely Andre. I must not forget Shirley, she has taught me lots of short cuts here and there, and we all keep one another in stitches when there is a lull with subjects. I have so much stationary and

Shirley Thank you for that information a very unusual surname; Jeanine Ann, I tried to put Belarc on our computer, "BUT" little messages come up that tells me this program can harm your computer????, we have Microsoft windows XP, when we ordered it we had Vista, but the tower with the hard drive Roared like a plane ready for take off, I rang Dell, who took me through things to do on the phone, it still roared, so they sent out a Technician, who did a bit & then said ring Dell & tell them to replace this with XP,which they gladly did, they replaced the whole thing,even gave us a bigger monitor, you hear bad reports about some firms ,I found Dell very good, they have good after sales tech.support, I found it interesting on one of your videos Andre' was using a Dell monitor, good advertising; I went back to South Africa last night oh dear that was a very emotional time for Andre' both Himself & His audience shed lots of tears, He never ceases to amaze me at How He allows us to share in these heartfelt emotions, perhaps this is one of the reasons we love so much:?? when you think of others who entertain, who allows this to be seen by so many, maybe this is Andre's secret, that by allowing us to see these emotions ,we have so much extra love & respect for Him & His People;" Great Day for Andre'"

To all the JJJJs on this site it seems we all think alike, I can think back & remember a thought, this is an expensive pack of cards, now I even eat my toast & vegemite while I check out emails, I do still have my games of solitaire,to sort of wind down, I wonder what Andre' does to relax,{if He Does} I'm not sure why but I feel He is on the go always, if His body is'nt His brain is;My goodness gracious me, I look at all He does, not "just" the beautiful concerts, it would seem to me He really needs time out Just for Himself Marjorie , Their Boys & now Granbabies, from what Pierre had to say He spends time with The Girls, They must give Him lots of Joy He deserves that don't you think, I could never repay Him for what He has given us; good night God Bless;
We really are a likeminded group with our love of Andre and our slight passion for our computers. A friend of mine gave me her old laptop last October with a few pointers on how to use, and now I am up and flying and learning something new each day including using this guestbook. I wish Andre had been well enough to collect his award but him saying he feels better is a small step. Roll on 18th November in Antwerp, it will be wonderful. Our prayers and hoping will surely bring him back.
The last couple days some of us talking
about computers. Well, speak of the
devil! Last night for reasons unknown by
me, I got up in the middle of the night
to see about some things on such! OK, I
couldn't get Internet Explorer. Tried
System Restore, That didn't work as it usually does. Called IP(or ISP), they made no confessions. So, I had to get the TECH. What a crock, I must have given my tel. no. 4 times or was it 5?
After that, it was do this, do that, do
this, etc, etc! It's along time since I had to do that. As time went by(play it
again, Sam), I got the Internet back.
Meanwhile, back in the Ranch, word came
from my Anti-Virus Protection, my Computer was at risk. Even though I did a full scan, it was still at risk. I
notice when that happens, an Up-date
from my anti-virus appears and tells
me to restart computer. after it comes back, all is well! I guess it some kind of Safe-guard! As the song goes: "What a
night, oh what a night it really was!"
Thank Goodness for my work-out sessions.
I already feel better! Not only that, I
seem to be breezing thru it. Which is something new in itself. BTW, I saw a
picture of Michael Douglas after his
time on Cancer Treatment. What a difference from his younger years! The
moral to the story is; If you think you
think you've got troubles, you should
see what others have. I have it pretty
good though. Not only that, I think I'm
"on a roll"! That is also something new
in itself! I have finally got off The Maestros Music and Joni James "kick"!
I guess you all knew I could do it.

Jeanine Ann, so happy you bought that book it is Beautiful eh!what a keepsake, I would like it autographed but that will never happen, once in my lifetime will have to be enough, it was a glorious moment in time to be able to look into those Eyes, you have heard the saying ," now I can die happy": we had 2 cds autographed, Feast & You'll never walk alone , we also got Mirusa's,; I'm sure you'll enjoy The Maastricht 4 concert, after you watch it I think you will realise why Andre' got ill , the concert was brilliant, we need to remember He gave of this pace 7 times, he must have been so tired , he gave a lot of interviews as well, plus it was very hot, its a wonder He did'nt a nervous breakdown as well, all that coming on top of the trips to South Africa, that was so emotional, did you enjoy that dvd My African Dream, Maastricht 3 is still my favorite because of The Wind Players, & the extras showing how it was all done,I'm now waiting on Mirusa's cd, I'm sure it will be beautiful, I personally am not a lover of female singers, but I like her,plus Carmen,love the way she flirts with Andre', she too like Mirusa has lovely eyes ,it really is a thing with me I look at a persons eyes & usually what I see there decides for me , "like or dislike" it has never proved me wrong, hope I don't sound judgemental??? have a lovely Andre' day; xxx ooo.miow to Cotton;

I have a friend who has such sad eyes, all the time. When I ask she always says well I don't feel that way
so I tell her she has basset hound eyes. I love happy eyes. If you ever notice, the pupils of the eye
tell a lot, bigger is better.

APR. I didn't "post" like I do here,
though! probably on the average of 1-a-
week-and-a half. There, anything that
that's said has to do with the Maestro.
Poor MAESTRO! Before coming in the GB, I
saw THE MAESTRO still isn't doing too good. Such a loss for everybody! O f course, he isn't happy about it, either.
Today, I got a notice my rent is going up $38 Dec 1st. Just this mo. it went up $22. What I,m getting at, every time I have some bad problem, somebody else
has much worse! But, a lot can happen
by Dec.1st. Somehow, I've been "on a roll" since I got to Reading! Besides,
I've done so much for so long with so little, I can now do anything with nothing! getting back to the MAESTRO'S
GB someone, for years, has been putting
a "comment" in everyday, sometimes twice! I can't read French, so I always
wondered what it was about. French is
interesting! No word is pronounced the
way it looks. A person has to have a book with the phonetic sound They also have "double negative". Portuguese, I thought was the most difficult. Spanish
isn't too hard. For some reason, I'd get
off them due to something else coming
along. Oh, well! All have a nice
week-end!
Speaking of EYES Inge, remember the painting which Graeme Wilkinson did of Andre and Clyde bought for my birthday!!?? Well I finally had it framed (was waiting for a sale since framing is so expensive). I thought it came out nicely and the Eyes are so beautiful. He really captured Andre's eyes so well. Hugs

Hi Shirley, my sis and I used to play that too. I can still play it but my sister forgets how (haha) and I need another pair of hands. Just have a small keyboard now.
Jeanine Ann, I only have a keyboard too, kind of like an electronic piano,
a Wurlitzer WK70. The keys are piano size but it's more like a keyboard on a stand.
I haven't played it for ages. It's been covered up & idle. Last time I played it was
when I heard this song in Evita, not the Argentina one but a song sung by
Peron's mistress as she left, I think it was in a segment called "another suitcase
in another hall" & the song she sang was "Where am I going too". It's a short song but I loved
the melody. Anyway I would play that on my keyboard constantly, til one day
my neighbor said, is that the only song you know? hahaha I didn't know she could hear me
but guess in the summer with the windows open the sound carried & I must have
played loud. I think that's the last song I played on it. Maybe need to uncover it
& annoy the neighbors again, new neighbors I don't care for . hahaha

Shirley you could not possibly annoy your neighbors any more than I do with my violin. I am playing all kinds of songs - Oldies, Christmas. I stopped the lessons, not because I don't need them, because it was getting too expensive. I want to start again this November. I need some updating. I need to get a better sound from the playing. Some songs are better than others. I also need to learn vibrato - you know that difficult thing that Andre is a master at. I like a lot of the music from the 30's, 40's and 50's so I am getting song books for vocal and just using the melody line for the violin. I have a lot of violin music though. I find lots in the music stores around here and antique shops and the remainder on line. When I get good enough (if ever) I will make a You Tube video. I will probably put a bag over my face though. Hugs

My copy of Maastricht 4 arrived yesterday.
I stayed up until the early morning hours playing the DVD it finished at about 1.45am. I must say it was absolutely fabulous, I really enjoyed it from start to finish, this DVD had a bit of everything in it, great music, humour, and singing, to name but a few, and what can we say about Andre he was Fantastic. I really recommend this DVD.

Good evening all. It has been a wonderful day here in UK 22degrees and blue skies.Went to Southampton shopping and as the New Queen Elizabeth was in port decided to go and take a look at her. Fabulous.Some lucky people will be going on the cruise of a lifetime. Our Queen officially names her on Monday.
Back to computers. Yesterday tried to set myself up with a new email address without my name on it so I could go'incognito'on certain sites.Sneaky ay!!. Bloomin thing wouldn't play ball so had to phone tech man.I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this but tech man takes over your computer. It's so strange to watch the cursor clicking onto things on screen. Like the invisible man working your computer while the tech man is sending you on screen messages. Anyhow. I am glad to say it was them at fault and not me. Must order myself Maastricht 4 as you all reccommend it.Maastricht 2 is my favourite at the moment. I just love Ber Schillings voice Hope our Dear Andre has had a good day.Hope we will get some up to date news of him soon I do miss him being around Hugs to all xx

Telstra (phone company) talked me into getting a mobile phone this week - must have been a good salesman. One of my children gave me one several years ago and trying to work it nearly drove me crazy. (I eventually left it out in the rain accidentally and that finished it.) I told everyone not to buy me another one, now I've gone and done it myself.
It arrived yesterday and I feel like I felt when I first got a computer, the book tells me it will receive and send emails, take photos and videos, I can watch TV on it, download my favourite music as a ringtone - and, somewhere in there I think it says you can make phone calls on it. So, I was quite excited, but I can't even get it to turn on. I'll have to wait till one of my grandchildren visit I suppose and they'll no doubt know all about what to do, even though the eldest is only six.
My copy of Maastricht 4 arrived from Ovation yesterday, I'm so pleased I can work the DVD player. I enjoyed every minute. DJ Otsi is fun, isn't he? Andre looks well in it I think. No sign of the problems the poor man had waiting to descend on him.

Jeanine Ann Thank you for sharing that Painting with us,it's rather beautiful, & He has the Eyes right, are you going to up light or down light? glad you were happy with the book it was larger & better than I supposed, as I was looking at the book Narelle ran off with the dvd, I could hear her cackling away ,but as I've said earlier Has Andre' ever made a flop, everything He has done in my humble opinion is super duper, cds as well we also bought some Christmas cds they are early ones but good ones, have also just bought "Love Letters" which I took to vinnies today, so many people comment on the Beautiful Music, often don't know who it is, my son tells them My Mothers Player can only play one persons music, Andre Rieu, a lady today asked what is on most of them, I explained a lot but told her to go to a shop or the internet because they are many & varied as Andre' has so much on the market, lately I find the internet best as most shops; also I've been getting all my only keep new releases, whereas Ovation have most everything listed, if its out of stock , they will order it, I've not tried your friend Hans as ovation & I seem to get on well,they send an email to confirm order, then another when its dispatched, I can't ask for better service than that, also I seem to have all my bits on here & have received all the emails, good to see Andre' is tweeting a little I wonder what the cake looked like ? I read an interview Pierre did where Andre' plays to His Grandaughters & they conduct him, what a hoot, would love to see that, but its good just thinking about it eh!! have a great day, or whats left of it xx oo Miow!
Hi Fay, I don't know about the lighting yet. The artist suggested a small round spotlight but that location is not wired so I will need to check on that. It is a beautiful painting and I love it. lovely photos of Andre' & cakes, its lovely to see His smiling face,; have any of you lovely people been following The Commonwealth Games, our Aussie Athletes have done well, its good on them they give their all to training & sport,Our children when they were little used to swim & do intra club races I remember all the training they had to do for that 1hr. before breakfast, 2hrs. after school, I shudder at what those athletes must have to do, I do admire & respect them for what they give up; You have to be so careful of your ears when you swim a lot, I wonder does Andre' swim ???. have a lovely Andre'day all;
I now have 24 DVD's. CD's are not quite the same.Although I am in England, I buy
from marbecks in New Zealand, Ovation and Hans Music in Australia. All 3 give excellent service. The book is wonderful. I just stare entranced at his lovely face. I have just ordered 30

in England. Can hardly wait to see them bloom next year. Am in so much pain these days - no tablets help - so I watch Andre and the pain goes for an hour or two. My husband bought me yesterday from the German baker with the mobile van: plaited poppy seed rolls, proper Apple Strudel and onion cake which is a sort of quiche. Wow, were they all good. I must have put on a stone in weight. Isn't it good that the trapped Chilean miners will be out in about 5 days. My husband is going to put up a large new greenhouse we bought for the garden, however, he is so crippled with arthritis, I don't know how long it will take. My husband is also my carer. In the Celebration book it says that Andre loves roses. I have been trying practically every nursery in England but
they don't know about this. Please if anybody knows of a flower nursery, possibly in Holland, let me know the address or website as I would like to grow them. Surely if they can grow tulips with his name, somebody must grow

Sylvia, even though he may like roses, as far as I know there is no rose named after André, only the tulip. There is another tulip named Johann Strauss though.
Here I am with my two cents. Shirley I think there is an Andre rose but I only saw it one year and I don't remember where. It was not Dutch Gardens. Will try to find it. If it is out there I will find anything that is named Andre, looks like Andre or walks like Andre haha.
I think the reason Andre is waiting for the grapes is so he can make his grape jam, remember that? Now he may like it for the wine but I doubt he makes wine haha.

Sylvia, I don't live in the UK, but did you ever think of taking a picture you like to one of those places that put the picture on mugs or t-shirts?They can do a great job for you, if you can't find what you want just try one of those & make your own original. As for computers,not understanding everything about computers doesn't make you stupid.
Hello Sylvia, I used to be absolutly terrified at the thought of learning the computer, although I could type, it wasn't until I retired from work that I joined a computer class for beginers at my local library, the people who went there were all mature students, and we learned right from basic, from beginers course you can move on to improvers course etc, I am sure there will be some courses going in your area, it's worth a try, Computing opens up a brand new world for you.all it needs is some confidence, after all you did send this e-mail, good luck,

Hi Sylvia, you are not stupid because you find the computer difficult. If I can pick up the violin and try to learn at 68 you can conquer the computer. Believe me the computer will keep your brain active. Learning where to find things and just reading what you find is so valuable. Not everyone excels in the same areas in life. I would love to be a great violinist but I know I can never be that. I will need to be satisfied with whatever I can be with the time I have left in my life.
You were asking about places that do coffee mugs and T-Shirts, etc. If you need a place in England you would need to check your local phone book for screen printing or something like that. If it is a matter of not trusting the order process, all the places I have seen have very secure ordering. I get things done at cafepress.com and never had any problems. They have lots of things already printed but I am sure you can send your own photos of Andre's gorgeous face and they will put it on a shirt for you. There is also a place called "Playbill.com". If you would like, I can list the places here so you can just click on the link. I don't know if you are going to Andre's concert but they have beautiful shirts and mugs and totes. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in Canada, in Germany it was October 3 this year as it is always the first Sunday in October, but only in the church. In Holland it must variate as well, because I saw celebrations from Sept.22 until 28, USA celebrates November 25, so you do not have to wish André happy Thanksgiving this day, his is most likely over.
Hi Inge, well Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians then. I always think of Thanksgiving as a harvest time, to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. Guess it depends on what part of the country you live in & when the harvest time is & whether there is a special time to celebrate it. When my husband was stationed in Germany he enjoyed the Oktoberfest in Munich, went to the Hippodrom I think. He says best beer there. haha I wondered about the Netherlands because Andre says his grapes are almost ripe, then it must be about harvest time there also? I love the month of October, just wish it lasted longer!
Hi Shirley, Oktoberfest is just about over, but it has nothing to do with harvest, it is a celebration of a wedding from a princess, 2OO years ago and was repeated every year since, but the beer is the main thing and I guess the breweries advertise it well.
I have just watched on TV a sermon from the church of the Rock in Winnipeg, this guy is a preacher, he can make you listen and is funny, too. I am catholic, but he is a Christian, too, so I often watch his show, he said: Thanksgiving is mostly about gratitude and gratitude makes you happy. Very true, people who show gratitude to other are never depressed or unhappy, because giving is much more gratifying then receiving, good thought for any Thanksgiving.

we don't have thanksgiving here in Oz, we used to have a harvest festival Sunday in The Anglican Church, but that to me now is so long ago, we have A Blessing of Bread on the feast day of St.Anthony,because that is our Parish Church, but Jeanine Ann, does,nt the word Eucharist mean Thanksgiving ? my Oh my it is so nice to see Andre' tweeting again says a lot I fancy, the flower looks like what we call Cana Lilies, such a lovely Man, it would be lovely to Have a Rose named after Andre' a nice strongly perfumed Red Rose, I have a Dolly Pardon one it is so big & such strong perfume very healthy too, I have tried to get the tulip bulbs I went to the growers site & emailed them , likewise here in Oz alas ,here they don't import, Holland don't export to us, Thank The Good Lord for dvds, we now have 42 Narelle counted them yesterday, thet are a constant source of joy & peace in our household,we have 44cds, not bad for Someone we only found in 2008,I wonder does Andre' know how much Joy He gives to others, I must share something with you all I love the smell of new books my kids say I'm queer, so as well as loving the Celebration Book I can sniff at leisure oh well !!xxxooomiew
I sit here and giggle every day at the comments posted here, today it was J.A. saying she will hunt down anything that looks like Andre or walks and talks like Andre, I loved that and believe she will, clever lady. I went to J.B. HiFi in Melbourne today as they have all Andre's DVD's for $10 and I was able to get Dublin and a Royal Albert Hall that says it is a Special Music Edition, I am looking forward to watching soon. I also like the smell of new books, I saw a girl on The Book Show the other day who said she kisses the covers of the books that she loves and leaves the lipstick imprint!!! Cheers to all.

lovely Jeanine Ann, but everything to do with Andre' is Grand to me, thats a good picture, it would be great to be artistic all I can draw are M O Q cats put that together & see what you get, I am in the process of unwinding Narelle went to the movies today came out & fell splitting above Her left eyebrow,& breaking Her left wrist, monday is a respite outing day the only one we use as the young lady who takes her out is so nice they enjoy each others,company she was so upset poor girl so at the hospital I told her Narelle has had lots of fractures, so many its close to 40 we are used to it by now & almost don't need an xray we just know but xrays must be done & does'nt it take time, from 2pm. till 8 30pm., Narelle unwound by doing Her emails, & I've just done the same, I have only just realised how theraputic this is , so if my spelling is haywire you'll understand, Mirusa's cd arrived today it is a work of art to look at Narelle has just gone off to bed to listen to it, it will help her off to sleep, it has a beautiful selection of music on it; once again Andre's heart & care in this "product"shows the Hand of The Master Violinist night all xxxooo miow to Cotton;

to fit my mood & so today it is "Last Rose".
speaking of last roses, I have 3 left in my garden and 3 more in buts, if they will still open????? who knows. But our grapes are all harvested and eaten, we started in almost the beginning of September but at the end they were soooooo sweet and I grew that vine only for shade around the porch and now I have grapes, too. We had more sun in August than Europe, perhaps that is why our grapes were sooner ripe.
All the best people grow grapes it seems I wonder does Andre' make The Jam, could'nt you think up some Grand labels for that ?, I wonder are His grapes white or dark? my gran used to make lots of jams she used to put some sort of wine in , my memory thinks it may have been liqueur muscat, with marmalade she used carrots as well, she also made Ginger to that she added lemons, I love ginger marmalade to this day but never found any to touch Hers they don't add the lemon it adds a special flavour, I've been tempted to buy a lot of ginger jam & re cook it adding the lemon but???I'm crazy enough as it is;
I am a new Andre Rieu and the JSO fan. I enjoy his music and his CDs/DVDs. They bring so much joy to my life. Will be attending my first concert in San Jose. I am trying to find as much information on Andre as possible. Hope to one day be able to attend a concert in Maastricht.

Josephine, thank you Narelle is ok in pain,though she is a bit used to that,as having mild cerebral palsy when she falls always she has put her hand out to save herself, usually breaking something, she's had a bad knee + a leg ,mostly her arms, the count there is 38, the wrist now has been broken twice before in the last 5 years, she has been on medication to strengthen her bones, but at this moment in time is off them because of the hiatis hernia, after spending 7 hrs. at the hospital we came home to find Mirusia's cd at the door , so she went off to bed listning to that, its a beautiful cd,beautifully presented by Andre', a beautiful picture of them among a number of others of Herself, Andre's way of presenting all His cds is rather lovely, most other cds just have a name of the artist but Andre's "presentations" are really that they are a work of art, as well as beautiful music
Fay I was just about to ask about Narelle. She is on my prayer list. I hope she will feel better soon.
Yes Andre does have a nice way of presenting his CD's/DVD's. You should see me when I am putting these videos on! I am ooohing and aaahing and my husband thinks I am going a little crazy and I guess I am! That is the way Andre affects me. : ) I love that first video the best but they are both great. Oh my gosh, "Praise The Lord", the second miner has just been rescued and what an incredible experience, and a very memorable time in History to be able to be a witness such an exclusive, miracle of God and all the, talent and modern marvels of all those men who were involved in drilling that mother of a hole in that ground, to bring back these miners back up safe and sound, into the loving hands of their families. These minors are truly HERO'S!
I can't even imagine being cut off from the world, under ground, just think of the readjustments these men will be faced with psychologically and so very emotionally. Such a mind boggling and
courageous time in History. NOW, is the time to research these dangerous jobs, that many men expose their lives for, to make these types of jobs a lot more safer for men and man kind that go down in these mines 'every day'. With this I leave you, as miner #3 is making his way back up to the world he left behind.
May God look after each and everyone of these men as they must come to grips with such a horrific experience.

Yes Prudence it is. We stayed up until the second miner came up. It was so emotional and wonderful to see the families hugging. They are on the 15th as I write this morning. I hope and pray it continues. I just saw on Fox News that the drill they used was made in a town in Pa. and the the two men who designed the drill were in Chilé and just got back yesterday. They were so happy. Hugs
We have only caught bits & pieces of the news, but this really is touching, to see some of them finally coming up out of that awful pit.I know a lot of prayers from all over the world have been answered. One of the miners said "I was with God and with the devil. And I reached out for God," Isn't this wonderful?
Oh those wonderful men. How did they keep calm and strong in such terrible circumstances. They are real heroes. Men with real guts and determination.I hope they all have someone special in their lives to give them a big hug. I felt so sad for Russell Watson in a interview today when he was talking about his illness he said he had no one to give him a hug . That is so sad. Hi all hope all is well with every one, they say things happen in threes, our fridge died today I had an idea it was going 24 yrs. old,it does'nt owe us anything, so I went to The Good Guys & bought a new one, asking when it could be delivered, they said are you going home now , yes I said, ok we'll see you there, true to their word I was home 2 minutes they were here , took the old fridge too, never had such good service, then putting out rubbish,I cut the back of my leg open & needed 9 stitches,I opened a tin of peas & perhaps that what I cut my leg on, boy talk about blood, oh well; heres a little cat something; its called

I just finished African Dream and it was so beautiful. I just love the song "My African Dream".
It is a terrible day here - rainy and cold - part of the nor'easter we are getting. So we decided to watch Maastricht 4 (plus I have a cold and feel horrible) OMG what a concert! It is like Andre just gave all he had and put it into one concert! Magnificent! The Hout Bay kids were just great and I just love DJOtzi. I will not give you any details in the event some of you have not seen it. But about half way through the concert something just came over me and I cried through the remainder of the concert. I could not stop. I kept thinking what if all this is over - what if I never get to see Andre in a live concert again. The more I thought the more I cried. Please forgive me guys for being a little negative but I need to vent a little and who better to talk to than my fan friends who understand how I feel. I know Andre will be okay but I sometimes get these "what ifs". I just wish we would get more news but I guess until he has that first concert we will not know anything. I pray every day that he will be better soon.

Life Is tooo short to be miserable eh! will we ever get over those miners being trapped for so long & now they are above ground, it is a true miraculous happening; Gosh Inge what an inventory you Have known Our Beautiful Andre' a long time, we are only novices, less than 2 years for us but He does make Our lives more than enjoyable, even a broken arm & a stitched leg, they are the best excuse in the world for extra time out to enjoy Himself, His support of Murusia with Her own cd says a hell of lot of Andre's way of sharing, this cd is really beautiful, I personally am not a lover of female singers I would'nt waste money buying any, yet I did with Murusia, I ordered It before its release date we are more than pleased its beautiful both the music & the voice, we also like Carmens voice, so Andre' has not only given us Joy of knowing Himself & the JSO,He is reeducating us as well,so for those of you who don't have Mirusia's cd make the effort, its beautifully presented, the booklet has lovely photos one in particular of Andre' & Mirusia dancing is precious, & of course Andre's words Beautiful Music!!

As I know André since l997, you perhaps understand, why I like the early pictures from him more, even his early concerts when he was just him and the JSO and even sometimes a little shy, but he grew in the hole thing and he still has stage fright, that is normal for all the stars. I remember when my daughter went on the ice for a competition, how my heart was pounding, and it never got any better.

We sell a plant here called "Lion's Ear" (Looks like a tail to me), and it's this same color, maybe not as vibrant, but it's really beautiful and it's very popular this time of year.

Oh dear I have a lot of " dittys" in my brain , like my fridge it needs cleaning out Heres one , " Friends are like pearls you never know whats in the oyster till you open it up,& find a treasure," hope you like that one, we were on our way to the drs yesterday, leaves blowing everywhere not gusting , My Grandad used to say to me when I was little look Fay the leaves are dancing, you know I said that too Narelle , she said Mum I've never heard you say that before , I don't think I have, that popped up from way down deep, is'nt it strange how that happens, He was a beautiful Man taught me a lot about many things, even to which wood burns best in a fuel stove, one for slow heat , another for quick heat, I don't think there are many fuel stoves today, they did make great scones, or my Nan did, mine turn out like rocks, I can make a sponge , but not scones,this is a crazy conversation nothing to do with Andre' I wonder can He make scones, He can come & cook in my house Ha Ha Ha.
Grandad's seemed to have great ideas in those days Fay. Mine told me there were fire fairies dancing in the flames of his fire. He showed me their caves in the orange coals and said the blue flames were their dresses swirling as they danced. I completely believed him and wrote a poem about it:
Fire Fairies
The fire fairies can be found
Although they never make a sound
In the orange caverns bright
As fire glows with mystic light.
The fairies dance and play their games

Jill, I love that little fairy poem. I've never heard of fire fairies before. We used to sometimes have mushroom circles in our yard & we were told that they were "fairy circles", where the fairies had come out, at night, to dance. Fascinated me completely. I have a friend who has a fairy garden & I have started one myself. She has a little poem in her garden that says"Just before the morning light.Dewdrop Faeries take their flight

Well, I still believe in fairies, don't you?
It's nice to imagine fairies. My father believed in them and I thought it was sweet when I saw in Daniel O'Donnell's autobiography that he thinks there might be fairies. Probably comes with being Irish, although Dad was 4th generation Australian.
My other grandparents used to say the fairies had been dancing when there was a ring of fallen blossoms under a tree. I'd like to tell my own grandchildren all these things but they seem more worldly wise these days.

Just saw the funniest video of a guy playing an accordian in a field & attracted quite a large
herd of cattle . Those cows came up to where he was playing & they were more attentive
than some concerts I've attended( not Andre's of course)
the song he was playing was Get Along Little Doggies. So I guess cows like music too.
And while I'm on the subject of cows, Judith, where are you, I've got one for ya!

Shirley you made me think of a funny story that happened to us in Baden-Baden. Vic, the children and I went to visit my mother in Germany. The kids went in the movie "Jentle" that afternoon and Vic and I went to the Merkur, the mountain with a funicular, coming down we saw a big sheep herd, they still move after the harvest along the country side to eat the rest in the fields and fertilize the fields. When Vic saw all the sheep, he was calling: "que vache, que vache" and all the sheeps followed us. But then the sheep herder came running with his dog and he gave a few commandos and they turned around. Vic could not believe that the sheeps followed him with his cow calling that he used to do as child at home on the farm.

I have been trying to get over a cold this week and especially for today, as our Country Strings Shop had a violin invitational which they do every once in a while. The last time they had a nice crowd but today was about half and it is too bad that people do not care as much about these things as they do about sports and shopping. But anyway I was determined to get there. I played every violin he had and it was so much fun. I wasn't going to get anything but then I heard a lady playing Mr. Kain's Spring Run for this year and thought it sounded so beautiful. So we did a trade on my old, old 1700 violin which came from a fiddler and I just could not play it right. I feel that no matter how old it is if you cannot play it or don't enjoy playing it why have it laying in a case. But what I wanted to tell you is they had a stack of "Strings" magazines and they were several years old. I asked Clyde if he would go through the magazines to search for one which featured Andre. I knew it existed but had no idea what year. So in he walks with this issue with Andre on the cover! I think it is June, 2008. I will scan the cover and the story and put it on the blog for those of you who have never seen it. But I thought about the odds of finding this one issue with Andre on the cover.
So that was my day and I hope everyone had a nice day also. The weather was cool and windy as a result of the remains of the nor'easter so I have a feeling that, except for some occasional warm days, summer is over. Big hugs to all

Jeanine Ann, I always think you are ahead of us, typical me, Mary MacKillop is Australian, out first Australian Saint,She is to be canonised tonight our time, at a Mass celebrated by The Pope in Rome, I guess its only a big deal for Aussies, She founded The Order of The Sisters of St. Joseph, She was excommunicated because she spoke up for Her rights & dobbed in a priest who was not all He should Have been, so Mary being THE Gutsy Lady She was went to Rome to The Pope of that time,she was reinstated, & used to ride on a horse going from town to town setting up schools for the everyday child[ in those days only the children of affluent parents were educated,] during Her time of excommunication She was helped by people from many different religions including Jewish , so Australia is a bit excited, We have an Australian Saint,lots of different functions are on everywhere, sausage sizzles ,bar b qs, I'm sure the Josephites will be having a more lady like function & watching all on tv, those that could'nt go to Rome, there are street partys planned, in Sydney from St Marys cathederal a lot of streets are closed, its not named for Her, The Church that is I've always thought that was named after Our Lady as its the main Church in the city;;; I wonder does Andre' know He always seems to be interested in happenings of this country, He amazes me how he always has something special on that is pertinent to the country He is performing in I guess this is another reason we Love Him as He goes to that trouble to show us He cares, gosh I do hope for His own sake He is feeling a little better, I reckon He could have been a little frustrated eh!!!!!; JUDITH my friend good luck for tomorrow, I'm about to go to Maastricht,on my dvd, will be thinking of you, maybe St. Mother Mary of The Cross, as Mary MacKillop is to be known would be a good listner & advocate; xxx ooo Miow
Fay, Canada also gets a Saint today: FATHER ANDRÉ BESSETTE is canonized by Pope Benedict the XVI, it is Canada´s 2nd saint and both are from Montréal, the first a nun Marguerite, so Vic is also glued to the TV. Father André was an orphan and almost illiterate and he did a lot for the sick and the poor and started the Oratorium in Montréal.
Hi All, I have just returned from a long weekend away with my Guiding friends and I find so many of your comments to catch up on. I know exactly how you fell Jeanine Ann sometimes wondering as to how our Andre will be when we get to see him again, I scan through the comments for a sign of any positive news re Andre. Morning all. It's a beautiful bright crisp Sunday morning here in UK. The sun is out The sky is blue.I have family coming today for the BIG Sunday roast.I had a dream about Andre last night. Really strange. I dreampt I was at one of his Concerts and I visited the ladies and there was a wash room between the ladies and gents and we both met washing our hands and had a bit of a conversation.I didn't like to intrude so didn't say much. Then after changing my seat in the venue several times I ended up at the front and Andre came and sat next to me and his chin was bleeding,presumably from shaving.I asked if he had a tissue,he replied no, so I took one from my handbag and proceeded to dab the blood from his lovely chin thinking WOW I have Andres DNA forever.How strange is all that.As I usually say'in my dreams' and yes it was. I wonder is anyone of my Andre friends on here a dream 'deciferer'and can explain what that might mean. I would love to know. Big warm Sunday hugs to all
Maastricht 4 just arrived in South Africa. My friends and I watched it together with My African Dream while tears were running down our cheeks. We were at his very first concert in South Africa and were just as worried as Andre that they would not make it due to the ash from the valcanoe. We knew Andre was under a lot of pleasure, so we made double sure that he felt welcome on his first night. These two Dvds will most definitely be top sellers in our country. We want to thank Marjorie for sharing her husband with us. Please look after him, we want to enjoy him for many years to come. Love from all your fans in South Africa!

Geachte Heer en/of Mevrouw, ik ben werkzaam in een bejaarden-verzorgingstehuis in Spanje. Ik heb een DVD van André Rieu die ik regelmatig afspeel voor onze oudjes en zieken. IEDEREEN vindt het GEWELDIG en het is écht alsof ze een middagje uit zijn terwijl ze gewoon in de salon zitten. Ik heb echter maar 1 DVD (In Wonderland) en zou zo graag een paar DVD´s meer willen hebben. Helaas heb ik hiervoor geen budget en ik zou dan ook willen vragen of het mogelijk is om ergens tweede hands DVD´s te kopen (moet wel voor een super lage prijs zijn of beter nog, gratis). EVERYONE loves it and it really is as if one day out while they just sit in the salon. However, I have only one DVD (in Wonderland) and would love a few more DVDs to have. Unfortunately I have no budget for this and I would like to ask whether it is possible to get somewhere to buy second hand DVDs (need to create a super low price, or better yet, free). Inge How Lovely that you also have a new Saint, one called St. Andre', I only watched part of last nights telecast, but have it on the IQ. box, we also have had a lot of "Our Andre" on foxtels Studio channel for the past week alas they don't show the complete program, just most of it, so I have 5 on the IQ. box, although I already have them I listen when I'm on the computer, we did away with the video/dvd etc, when we put foxtel on , Narelle has a player /recorder in her bedroom, I just have a dvd player,I need simple things, & I can't watch anything other than Andre' in bed Jasper won't allow it, He's not a spoilt cat, He just knows what He likes Its a good thing we agree on who to watch in bed is'nt it, last week someone mentioned Russell Watson I have a 2 set dvd, "Andre Rieu on Holiday" one is a Christmas dvd filmed in a very big "barn", the other is New Years Eve Punch. 2003 recorded in Munich, Russell Watson is on that, He has an amazing voice He can sing, tenor, baritone, & also a bit like Rod Stewart, I first found Him singing the theme to "Enterprise", his range fascinates me, He used to pack screws in boxes & started singing because He was bored, poor man He's been through the mill health wise, I love His voice, alas Jasper does'nt; "Gardening begins at daybreak & ends with backache"

WOW! That's a big one!Well I'm glad that Andre seems to be enjoying nature & grandbabies while he can. Only about a month before he gets back into the swing of it, or at least I hope so. We've had a beautiful Oct. month so far, over the week end I stuffed myself with apple cider, funnel cakes & kettle corn!!!! Maybe I'll need to run in a marathon(NOT).But I do have some more outside chores to do.
Shirley I'm sure the food was delicious. I know what apple cider is, but whatever are funnel cakes and kettle corn? Might be new recipes for us Aussies to try.
Jill, those 2 items are very popular at our fall festivals. The best kettle corn is just popcorn, cooked over an open fire, in a big iron kettle, stirred by a long wooden paddle, as salt & sugar are added. It has a salty & sweet taste,not too sweet, not too salty & it's very delicate. (The Amish make the best corn.) The funnel cakes are made by pouring a very thin batter through a funnel or pitcher, into very hot oil. When the batter is poured into the oil it is poured, kind of squiggly, into a big circle, when it's done they usually sprinkle powdered sugar over it. very tasty. I'd say the size is usually about 6 or 9 inch circles. These are popular items at Branson too, wonder if Daniel O has tried them?

Golly gee Shirley, you make me feel so warm and fuzzy every time I leave a comment. Actually, I really didn't jump in, it was more of a hobble/limp in. Think I mentioned I had that EMG done on Saturday, what with all that needle puncturing on my legs and lower back, it has left me in worse shape than when I first went in. Results are due this Saturday 22nd, and still no medication for this severe pain. BUT, me thinks there will be lots of changes happening, I sure hope for the best. I was impressed with this "new" group of physicians, finally, hopefully moving
forward, and YES, through all these new ordeals, I smiled on the outside, and hummed Andre tunes on the inside. More gruesome details later 'gator! :}

They sound very tasty Shirley. I make popcorn with butter and salt, but I've never heard of it with salt and sugar together. Sounds wierd but interesting. The funnel cakes sound like cakes some Greek friends of ours make.

Also I agree with you Fay that Andre looked tired in My African Dream. I thought that on several occasions and he was so emotional. Maybe he was already feeling something was wrong.
I agree about Andre looking tired.I guess it all finally caught up with him. You know you can't race an engine too long or too hard before it blows the engine. I'm glad he has taken these days off, although I wish it had been under different circumstances. I just got his newsletter about his upcoming tour of the USA & Canada. "Musical Holidays", sounds good doesn't it?

Oh Maureen, I've watched that dvd 2 nights in a row, How does Andre' do it He has wormed his way into our hearts & lives, maybe wormed is not the correct word, played would be better, is it any wonder that He has been billed as The Magicial Andre' Rieu,He always goes just that bit more than last time, yes I too love to see that closeness that He & Pierre have its not contrived, it just happens, also I look at the crowd to me it seemed as though there were more , both inside the square & outside at the tables, then the backdrops, are they not beautiful each one matching the music, what do you all think of The Hallelu'jah chorus, they really looked like they were in a church eh, I can watch that dvd again & again Narelle is the same,I find I always find something I missed, I do think Andre, looked tired at the end, its the first time I've noticed perspiration on His Brow , those children from South Africa blew me away such raw talent & of course Kimmi, for me though it was Carmen in that red dress wow, I liked Andre's intro,"She tries to suduce me each night with her singing;if I was her & had her gift I would too being so close to Himself, He'd only need to look at me with those eyes, ; Josephine's dream is interesting, I'd like to dream of Himself, I do daydream, thats it, night all Happy dreams;

Fay I do wish you would not be so far away. I would just love to meet all of you. My cold seems to be hanging on a long time. Of course I never rest or take anything for it except nasal spray so I can breathe. I guess the older you get the longer these things linger. I have no energy, that is for sure. Good morning to you all on a beautiful bright crisp morning here in UK. Just been watching Michael Flatley being interviewed on TV. He is shortly to begin a new tour of UK and Europe. Don't know a lot about him but have read he is a bit of a big head andfull of himself but that is certainly not how he appeared in this interview. Very down to earth and seemed like a really nice guy. He has been plagued with a mystery virus that conventional medicine could not cure so he went to an'energy healer' who worked wonders and now he is completely cured. Not sure about that one for all my dear friends on here who ate not feeling too good just now.I think I will let our DarlingMan be my 'energy healer' for now. He certainly'raises me up' Lots of love to you all and hope you will soon be jumping around like spring lambs xx

Last night ZDF broad casted the concert from André on the isle Mainau, my friend wrote it was super nice. I guess it will be soon on the market for Christmas, that one I will buy!
I would hope it will be available to buy.That's one thing I've always been curious about,a lot of Andre is shown on ZDF & then never offered for sale as a dvd, why is this?

But of course I get all of them because I am afraid I will miss something I have not seen Andre do! haha I have every DVD he has made unless it is one of those exact duplicates floating around. Every concert, Shirley, that was shown on ZDF was put into a DVD, only interviews you can buy direct from ZDF, but they are not cheap . ZDF and ARD sometimes repeat the same concerts, just like PBS does. Like every Xmas they show the 2 Christmas concerts on German TV, the one from l997 in the stable and the one from 2OO3 with the Japanese children choir. The 3rd one was specially adapted for PBS.
Good evening all from chilly UK. Just been on youtube watching Andre with Lesley Garrett on her show in Uk in 1998. WOW was he gorgeous or what-not that he isn't now but he is dressed casually in a white T shirt and leather jacket and he looks GEORGEOUS.I think he is feeling very relieved that at last he can think about getting back to what he loves doing the best.Giving everything of himself to us,his adoring public. I hope he keeps a little back for himself this time though. The thoughts of Him being ill again are just too much to bear.I agree I think Andre must feel very happy that he has brought so many of us together and we have all learnt such a lot about each other and our different cultures and way of life,all with one thing in common Himself. Hi Fay. I have never tasted Vegemite but believe it is on the lines of our UK Marmite.We have a love/hate relationship with Marmite here. I personally love it and have always got a jar in the fridge. I crave it particularly on toast when I have an upset tummy xx

I have been under the weather this week,and if anything would turn me off it would be Marmite. Funny about different tastes isn't it? I lived in London in the early 70s and I guess my boyfriend ate it but I tried it once only. So I didn't go to the Vegemite tasting in Maastricht because I know they are very similar. Probably better for one than jams and jellies but I am not even sure about that. I know how popular it is because I saw it all over the place.

When he plays Godfather/Stranger in Paradise the emotion is unbelievable.I think that is about 2003.I still think he looks stunningly attractive on Forever Vienna which he did at The Royal Albert Hall in 2000. But he will always always be Gorgeous whatever his age. Beauty comes from within.xx

Lennart Bernadotte got from his aunt, the duchess of Luxemburg a count title back for his work on the Mainau. he was 35 years older than his second wife, died high in the 9Oth in 2OO4 she was only 64 when she died 2OO8 of breast cancer.

Hi Jeanine Ann, I have more DVDs than CDs because I do not buy all the CDs that go with the DVDs because most of the pieces are on others anyway and I rather see it than just hear it, I have not counted the doubles either, I use them, too to give to friends.

Just one small complaint from me though, do we have to have so many cut aways to the audience?
We just love Andre Rieu and try to get as many DVDs as we can as it is very difficult to do so in India.Our chances of seeing a real life concert is so remote, but we love his music and him. Thank you Andre for all the hours of joy you have given us.

Steve, I like to look at the faces of the audience they show how much Our Lovely Andre'shares with them for I feel He shares more than "Just Music" & watching some of the expressions is an education in progress, the Joy the Animation, the way some sit very stiff ,they are few & far between,I think its the Wonder I see at times, I do find that entertaining, but we are all different which is just as well, when it all comes together , the complete show we get on dvd,there are moments that only after watching a number of times, you realise how precious they are , a lit up face of an older person, the wonder in a childs face, then we have the many faces Andre' pulls they fascinate me He does a quirky thing opening one eye wide & closing the other, the look of satisfaction when He's just finished playing a Special piece, or when He's being a bit cheeky, man I could go on forever, my Daughter at times , I hear her chuckling away & wonder at what , We rewatch & rewatch, & always find something new, be it on stage or the audience, I personally fell this Is Andre's Way & all a part of why He appeals to so many, its all a part of The Magic & Joy we Receive, have a great Andre Day all; xxx ooo Meow to Cotton

I think it adds to the pleasure of the Concert seeing how everyone is having fun and forgetting their troubles for a couple of hours. I also love Andre's facial expressions. One I particularly love and watch over and over again is on Forever Vienna when he cheekily says. Now we are going to play Ludvig Van Beethovens 5th ENTIRELY and curls his top lip. Love it. The same when I was in Cortona in 2OO3, the hole 2 concerts lasted each 4 hours from 2O.OO hours to midnight and on TV only 2 hours and also on the DVD.
I sincerely hope "Roses From The South" will come out as a dvd,way back the cd of that title had a name change to "You Raise Me Up" Now we know the reasons, also I guess a lot has to be left out of some of Andre's concerts Maybe ? a dvd of all the left out bits would be a big seller, I know I'd buy it, I think any one who loves Andre' & His concerts , His music, there are a few of Andre's dvds where He Dances in clogs,I'd have to rewatch a few to name them "hard Yakka" hope you all understand what that means, I'm being a bit tounge in cheek to watch any dvd of Andre's is a real JOY, I know one where He dances is on a cruise ship, I like the one where He is at Schonbrunn & He dances on His own Whilst playing "My Love Song Must Be A Waltz" that is such a beautiful piece of music, what amazes me at times is Andre's treatment of each piece of music, it is always soooo right& beautiful, always presented as a gift from Him to us, thats how I feel , what about You ??????

I don't know how many of you have the new book called "Celebration" which is ordered from Ovation Shops in Australia, but mine arrived last week and I quickly looked through it and I thought (as I looked at this photo) gee that looks so familiar to me. Well I put the book aside and last evening I looked at it again and mid-way through the book I saw "Andre's Fans". Then I saw all these comments from "AndreRieuFans.com BLOG/Fans and Friends Around The World". I thought Wow I didn't see this the first time I looked at the book. So I went back to that photo you are looking at and I went through all my photos and it is my photo - I took it in
April 27, 2008 in either Miami or Jacksonville, Fl. I was standing right in front of Andre and this big monitor was in front of me. Wow, they used my photo and Sally's blog! Isn't that neat!!! Yes Jeanine Ann I did read the bits from Andre Rieu Fans I think I mentioned it then again I may not have, also I have a similar photo to that on my bedroom wall, its a bit more closer to Himself & of course Those Beautiful eyes, He is not above my bed but at the side, last look before my light goes out & first when I wake,I receive a lot of comfort from that photo it is one of yours that I right clicked on, I also have that picture from You Raise Me Up, I enjoy that face it has a gentle quality to it, a friend who also likes Andre' was over here last week, she looked around & said why am I surprised, then She saw my calendar that we bought at His concert, I don't use it as a calendar I really love the picture that is the centre fold, I love that photo, the eyes the smile & of course The Man, I've ordered the new one; did you like The Celebration book I was thrilled with it, a real keepsake & a reasonable price also, I wonder did Andre see it prior to it being printed, I like to think both Marjorie & He would also approve it; Its Nice!!!!!
I have to tickets for sale for the Andre's concert in San Jose Dec 4th. These tickets are on the Floor Level, 8th Row, near center stage; seats 13 and 14. I am asking $200. Hi All, Just wondered if anyone could tell me if all the Maastricht concerts were recorded. He has done 6 shows and can only think of 4 videos- The Homecoming(2005). M.2(don't know year) M3(2009) and M4(2010). Is the Flying Dutchman one of them if so still one missing. Thanks
Kay, I don't know if all the Maastricht concerts were recored but Flying Dutchman was done in Kerkrade. I think The Homecoming & Songs from My Heart are the same but are Maastricht concerts.Maybe someone else will know.
Kay, M2 was in 2008. I am very sure because my wife and I were there. Fantastic.(aren't they all?) I do not believe the others were recorded. Flying Dutchman is not one of the Maastricht DVDs. There are only the four so far.

Thanks Fay, I suppose there must have been only 4 recorded otherwise you all would have them. I have only known about Andre since his Forever Vienna topped the charts here (UK) i believe about March this year.
One part of Oz that does celebrate Halloween Fay is Alice Springs. I guess because of all the Americans working there at the Pine Gap Base. Our family spent a fabulous six months in Alice in 1978, it was such a change to our usual 'normal' lives in Sydney. We all did enjoy our one experience of Halloween. Some of our best friends there was an American family, so we really got with it all, but I wouldn't let my kids go trick or treating. Even in Alice I thought it was dangerous.
I wondered if Halloween was popular anywhere else. When we were kids it was
a different world, a lot more safe to go trick or treating. Now, not so safe. Too many weirdos!
We get only a few neighborhood kids, & the houses leave the porch light on if they are handing out treats.
There are a lot of places that have parties for the kids, & what's popular around here is to go
on a hayride down to the spooklight, then build a giant campfire & roast weiners & s'mores. Then
to bob for apples in a big tub of water.
Some go to the farms who have made a big maze in their cornfield. You can wander around forever
trying to find your way out. A couple of years ago we got our front trees toilet papered too. That
seems to be a popular sport for some. The day after Halloween you can drive through the neighborhood
& see all these white streamers hanging down from the trees. That's just innocent mischief. I'd rather have that done than
have the car egged or windows broken! which has happened in the past. Seems there are always a few
who want to cause destruction wherever they go.
I'm not so much into Halloween anymore but it was fun when I was young. We always went in a group
0f about 6 or 7. Only one house we didn't care for but we always went back because they gave such good treats.
It was a doctor & his wife & he would have us all come into the house & they would say if we wanted a treat
we would have to do a trick so he would have us sing a song for them. gosh we hated that!!! Still remember that song,
"Peter, Peter,pumkin eater,had a wife but couldn't keep her. He put her in a pumpkin shell and there he kept her very well.
Every year it was the same, but we went back. Funny thing is I can't remember what the treats were now.
I guess we really just wanted to be on our way to gather all the loot we could. Happy Halloween everyone.
Hi Fay. Nice to be missed. I've notbeen on holiday unfortunately. Just like our other friends busy with this and that. Have had my lovely 14yr old nephew Oliver to stay for a few days as he had a week of school hols. He is a treasure. Helped my other half clear out our loft which is a job I have been dreading.So much easier with a strong willing young man to help.Went out to dinner with 2 of my 5 sisters last night.Good fun. We do celebrate Halloween here in UK now in quite a big way. We didn't even know about it or I can't remember it as a child.Cheeky people I know may well think I wear my Halloween mask all year anyway and charge around on my broomstick !!!Oh well. It's a beautiful day here today so think I will get out and about and enjoy it. Our clocks go back an hour tonight so extra time to snuggle up under the duvet. Good evening all. Been a glorious day here in UK. Went to local Garden Centre to browse all their Christmas decorations. Put me in the mood for mince pies but they didn't have any in their restaurant so had a Danish pastry instead. Well I don't mean to wish my life away it has gone too quickly already but I am thinking roll on 18th November . Andre's first concert, to scotch all these worrying rumours.I think I have worn youtube out. My husband, Robert passed away on 9-27-10, very suddenly, and I am so very sad after 47 years of marriage. Kay you have a lot of joyful catching up to do , in the last 2 years we have bought 41 dvds we watch them so often with such joy often you pick up something you missed the first time round , can I personally recommend "Live In Australia" that has the copy of the castle & is soooo good, my first introduction to Andre'; "Live In Sydney" too, "The Royal Albert' too is an early one in the year 2000, All of The Maastricht concert ones are super as well, in fact I know of all we have everyone is different, the music is similar , but likewise presented differently, "New York Memories" when Andre' played My way, then just recently "My African Dream" anyone left with dry eyes does'nt have a heart, so emotional, Andre' also shed tears, I think this is one of the reasons we Love Him soooo much, for He allows us to witness this emotion, that is not contrived, its real, & in the documentary that comes with it we see This Great Man playing with a remote control helicopter, we witness The Child within, I could go on forever, I think I need My 2nd earl grey for the day,; have a lovely Andre' Sunday;

If you have a large dvd collection you probably have them all, but some i don't recognise and it is put together so well. I particularly like it because he plays more waltzes etc, what i call the back to basics Andre i love this one. So glad you have pain free day - keep it upxx
Carole my heart goes out to you in the loss of your loved one , it physically hurts does'nt it, there is a quote we have in Australia, ""God does'nt give you anything you can't handle" I tell you personally He over rates me at times, what about you? listen to some Andre Music, it is very calming, take care, & a day at a time; Talk about your Husband don't put Him away in a drawer, keep something that you can smell that belonged to Him, I found that good I still have some talc I sniff now & then, that He always used, its over 12 years old, you see I'm a bit crazy?????
I have just spent the weekend with my daughter and the 2 grand children who were down from Bendigo, 2 1/2 hours away, but even so I found time to pop in here and catch up with your comments. I too am counting the days until the 18th, it has been a very long 3 months for all of us but I am sure Andre will have some wonderful surprises for us in the coming concerts. Off to the country for 6 days to stay with a friend who has cancer while her family go on a short holiday but will take the laptop so I can keep up with all you beautiful people. Cheers.

Hi All. Have just spent a couple of happy/sad hours watching Romantic Paradise. I just breaks my heart when I see that beautiful man overflowing with 'joie de vivre' and yet now he is still poorly. I am still pondering over'God doesn't give us anything we can't handle'I suppose everything happens for a reason. Maybe as we said this was Andre's call to work less and rest more but I think he has had enough time to realise that so please God give him back his health now. We all miss him so. Hi Carole. I am sorry to hear of your sad loss. I too lost my husband 15 years ago and never a day goes by that I don't think about him or dream of him. You will handle it in your own way as we each do. Try not to ever feel guilty about anything you do or any emotions you feel.People will have their thought on how you should feel and act but you must live the rest of your life as you wish to.It's not easy but keep smiling ,keep looking on this site and above all keep listening to Andre. We seem to have a lot in commoon - ANDRE,James Last in the 1970's, and I have just been watching Russell Watson on Songs of Praise.Also, you mention that you lost your husband 15 years ago.My husband died 14 years ago on 15th November.We had been married for 35 years.I do feel for Carole in her sad loss.
Do you agree that Russell Watson's voice seems deeper since his tumour operations?He is coming here to Leicester next May so I may go and see him.

Yes I did watch Larkrise to Candleford but I thought Cranford was better. I have about 20 James Last LPs from the 1970's and actually have an old Dansette record player(remember them?)so I can still play them when the mood takes me.Als o have a lot of classical LPs
of Bach,Mozart,Tchaikovsky,Rachmaninov, and many other composers.I just LOVE all kinds of music and spend hours listening every day now I am retired.It's what makes me happy!
hello all pleased for all who liked Champagne Melodys, it fascinated me in how they jumped from one venue to another without missing a beat with the music being played or sung, maybe with modern technology that can be achieved easily but it surely makes for a lot of joyous watching, I like the documentarys too some of them are so funny, they also give you a look at how the concerts come together,& how the finished product is achieved; KAY, could I suggest that when you can buy both the book & dvd "My Music My Life", the book is good Written by The "Invisible" Marjorie, we never see Her,but the way Andre speaks of Her so often , I think He's a lucky Man to have such a wife, the book is only a short read,funny in parts, especially when you get to the part about Andre' serving Mass & using The "Senser", its written so well you can imagine your actually there,then there is this new book "Celebrations"its more of a "Picture Book" but is sooooo beautiful to have, not expensive, beautiful pictures, & a few quotes from this site, one of the photos taken by Jeanine Ann, if you scroll back you'll find the photo , I can never see too many photos, Andre's different faces fascinate me; have a lovely Andre' day all; xxx ooo;

My heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers to you Carole for the loss of your husband. I too, lost my husband, it will be 11 years on December 31, and there's hardly a day that goes by that I don't think of him. We were together for 33 years and apart only two times except for the last two months when he was in the hospital. We were very close, and losing him took me a year to get used to. The pain of the loss eventually eases, and you get on with your life. The memories will always be there.
Take as long as you need to adjust, but life continues on and we can't stop existing. The one thing that really, truly made it easier for me was knowing that my husband was right here with me, even though I couldn't see him, I felt him in everything that I did and experienced.
So much of what we did in our life together was as a two-some and so I made everything I did after he passed away as though we were actually doing it together, because that's the way I wanted it to be. (make sense?)

Many has suggested that you listen to Andre, I can't agree more, because his music has a way of making even the worst event better. I listen to Andre every single day, many, many times each day. His music is so beautiful, so uplifting and happy, I love it so much.

I do agree that Andre needs to change his glasses.The horn rim glasses makes him look sooo OLD! You only look and focus on his glasses and don't see the beautiful Andre behind them. I also think Andre looks great in blue and black (not shades of brown and orange)because it brings out the color of his eyes and makes him look even more handsome (if it is even possible). But anyway, Andre is beautiful in whatever he chooses to wear, as long as he is there for us to feast our eyes on -don't you think?
Regarding Mirusia`s cd, the title says Andre Rieu presents Mirusia etc. It appears to be a compilation of tracks taken from the various dvd`s. It is the JSO on the cd. If I am wrong, the orchestra is remarkably similar.I cannot see how Mirusia could find another orchestra, rehearse and then record ,and get it to market in the time she had.
