Mirusia's New CD Hits Number One

It took just 10 days for Mirusia's solo CD to make it to number one on the charts.
Home from Holland after a hectic performance schedule with Andre Rieu, the Birkdale soprano was ecstatic to report the meteoric success of her CD Always and Forever, which has made it to number one on the classical charts and number 12 on the pop charts since its release on October 8.
The album was produced, published and distributed by Universal and a representative from the studio phoned Mirusia with the news early last week.
"It's a really big deal. I approached Andre about recording Ave Maria as a single and he said to do a whole CD. So we did this under the Universal label," she said.
Mirusia had an unexpected trip home when illness forced the deferment of a Rieu Australian tour. She used the time to perform in a one-off concert at 12th Night Theatre, Bowen Hills on October 23, where she featured songs from her new album. The album is a story in 14 songs of her musical experiences on stage and in the studio with Rieu and his orchestra. It includes Ave Maria, Memory from Cats and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. On the album, Mirusia sings in six different languages.
Hi Mirusia. Congratulations! I bought my CD yesterday but have not had a chance to listen to it yet. From past experience I know I will not be disappointed.

I think very big congratulations are due to Mirusia ,Her cd is beautiful, Her voice also & lets not forget The Person behind This Great Talent, he has encouraged this young Lady, & given us all the chance to share in The Beauty of not only hearing & seeing Mirusia who will go down through the ages with with Her Talent; CONGRATULATIONS MIRUSIA!!!

CONGRATULATIONS "MIRUSIA", the post man rang my door yesterday, and I received your 'new CD', I played it all day and it is simply "beautiful", every single song was fantastic. Your voice is as lovely as you. What an honor for such a talented young lady. Andre sure has the touch to turn his singers into 'golden' celebrated world wide talent!

Whatever Mirusia sings is first class. I'm glad she is having such success
with her new cd. She's been a busy lady, I see she is to sing again at a function
in Billinnudgel (wherever that is). HIGH TEA WITH MIRUSIA, Oct.31st.

Congratulations. Your singing and presentation is beautiful. I heard the CD when Lyndall Freeman played it at our South Australian Fans meeting. I met you in Adelaide and you are amazing
