SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ANDRÉ RIEU FRIENDSHIP GROUP.
On Monday March 28, our group met for the 2nd meeting of the year. We
welcomed 2 new people, Pam and Richard and hope they enjoyed the experience.
Due to a frustrating month of PC problems, I had very few downloads to
hand around, but we still had plenty to talk about.
Before lunch, we watched a copy of the channel 7 interview, with the
Great One, which had aired during the month and thank Mavis very much
for taping it. I would rate it as one of the best interviews I've seen
with him.
After lunch we watched the new Mirusia/André DVD "Forever and Always",
which was just lovely. I think today was the most we have sung and I
believe that we are getting close to becoming a good backing group for
Mirusia.
APRIL PICNIC.
As last year's picnic was such a success, we have decided to hold
another one, in lieu of the normal Monday meeting. It will be held on
Saturday April 30 2011 at Para Wirra National Park, One Tree Hill. For
those coming from the southern/western suburbs, we will meet at the
Directors at 11am., car pool and go in convoy. For anyone going straight
to the park, please be at Terry's cottage by noon.
If the day is cold and wet, Terry has kindly offered us the use of his
verandah and bbq, throughout lunch and like last year, if we use one of
the designated picnic areas, we'll retire to the cottage for afternoon
tea, once it gets too cold. It will be colder there than in town, so
please rug up.
It's completely BYO, but it would be nice to have some nibbles and
cake/biscuits to share with the arvo cuppa. If it's anything like last
year, I'd suggest you bring enough for dinner and supper as well, as
no-one really wanted to leave early.
It's a family day, so don't forget the kids/grandchildren etc.
Anyone who doesn't have transport and would like to go, please contact
me and we'll arrange to pick you up.
I'd appreciate it if you would let me know if you are coming, especially
if you are intending to meet at the hotel, so we know how many we are
waiting for.
Hopefully we'll have a good crowd as we count down the last few days
before ANDRÉ IS IN ADELAIDE.
For those unable to join us, but are going to the long awaited concerts,
enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Perhaps we'll meet up with some of you in the mosh pit.

traveling, take care and have a good break.
Our next meeting is on Monday May 30, when we celebrate our 2nd year.
For those only able to join us on a 5th Monday in a month, hopefully
you'll be with us then, the first 5th Monday of the year.
Please note that Rob and I will be interstate from the 8th - 16th, so
ask that no emails be sent during that period please, as we will have no
internet connection.
