Hi dear friends, I finally had the opportunity to listen to Traumereien zur Weihnacht and could compare André's music to that of Zacharias. Wow what a huge difference.Zac's music is very light with piano and keyboard and has more of a jazz sound to it. (NOT TO MY TASTE!) Goodness guys and girls, it will drive you crazy! The only thing I hear when listening to Zac is tera-tera,tera-tera and the same rhythm over and over again!!I can distinguish André's music from Zac's music within a heartbeat!! André's music has depth,taste and character and doesn't sound 'cheap'!It is like comparing red cold drink to red wine, if you know what I mean!
A good wine gets better with time and is enjoyed by people with taste. Red cold drink is enjoyed by little children. André and his music is like a good red wine(deep red full of flavor and character and you can taste the effort being put into it)and it only gets better with time!!
Yes I know Inge, I have listened with an André-ear!! BUT, this is an ANDRé FANS and FRIENDS BLOG after all!! WOW, wow, wow, our André plays BEAUTIFUL music and there is NO DOUBT about it!! Is there anyone who dares to differ? Love to hear from you. Hugs from Deirdré (South Africa)xxxx

DEIRDRE, THE COMPARISON BETWEEN ANDRÉ AND HELMUT ZACHARIAS IS ABSOLUTELY Ridiculous. BOTH HAVE TOTALLY Different Repertoires . YES HELMUT PLAYED IN HIS LATE YEARS MORE JAZZ, BUT I GREW UP WITH HIM AND HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST VIOLIN PLAYERS. THE TASTE IN MUSIC IS EVERY BODIES CHOICE I LIKE BETTER WHAT ANDRÉ RIEU PLAYS, MY KIND OF MUSIC, HE IS ALSO BETTER LOOKING, BUT HELMUT PLAYED TECHNICALLY BETTER, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY. I STILL Prefer ANDRÉ TO HELMUT, BECAUSE OF THE HOLE PACKAGE, BUT DO NOT SAY HE PLAYS BETTER THAN HELMUT BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE.
Hi Inge, I have never heard Helmut Z. but we also have never heard Andre play the classical music which he did learn. He could play it and I believe as well as Helmut but he chose not to pursue this type of music mostly due to the time it takes to practice to become a virtuoso. I have just a little taste of playing this instrument and it is unbelievably difficult and especially at my age. I have the music in me and should have started at an early age because I did play piano and sang. If I don't have a certain piece of music I can ferret it out (for lack of a better word) on the violin. But the technique of fingering and bowing are extremely hard. I am amazed at Andre and anyone who can play as they do. For me it takes extreme concentration. I cannot even think of anything else or look out the window and see a squirrel and I lose it. I think Andre is as good as he chooses to be. I don't know Helmut but maybe he chose to spend 7 hours a day practicing. That does not make him a better violinist than Andre but one who was willing to put more time into it. I think we would be blown away if Andre would put about that amount of time to practice and play some of the classics. Just my humble opinion. Hugs

It is so nice to hear from you again. You must purchase the CD in question and listen to it. It is something different and nice to listen to for a change. André and Helmut alternate songs, Christmas songs on the CD. It is a lovely addition to anybody's CD collection. Helmut's music is more 'light' and very entertaining whilst André's music is PURE MAGIC! You can also listen to Helmut playing his violin on YouTube. We thought you might like to read about one of our American heroes on this Independence Day holiday. This article was sent to me by Marguerite Govoni who is an Andre fan. We thank the Major Govoni for his service to our country.
Maj. Richard A. Govoni, USMC, Ret., was born in Plymouth, Massachutes in 1929, He graduated high school with the Class of 1948. He joined the Marine Corps in October of 1948 with a dream of becoming an aviator, which he accomplished in 1954. He flew jets, transports & other aircraft. In Viet Nam he flew jets & helicopters to rescue the wounded & dead.
He served for 26 months in Viet Nam, where he flew over 550 combat missions. He retired from the Marine Corps after 23 years of service and became a civil service employee working for the Marine Corps Base at Quantico, Virginia.
Govoni was honored at a ceremony held April 24 by the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. James Amos (who is the first aviator Commandant), who presented Govoni with a 60-year service award. Each commandant has his own personal coin and Amos presented one of his to Govoni. His wife & children were at the ceremony. His wife is on the right with sunglasses and their daughter & family on the left.
Major Govoni was also honored May 12 at the Pentagon where he received a Spirit of Service award for his 60 years of dedication to our country.
As of today, Govoni still loves his work and has no desire to retire.
Major Govoni and Marguerite, his wife of 54 years, live in Virginia close to the Quantico Marine base. They are the parents of three adult children, Sharon, Lisa and Richard II.
It's dedicated individuals like Major Govoni who make our country safe. God Bless them all.

Jeanine Ann Your Camellia is so elegant I was thinking in bed about her tail & thought she looked like Turkish Van, so I googled them, she definitely has the tail & I think the look, although the ones on the site have markings on their heads, then I went to my books & came up with Angora, they are all the one colour with that beautiful tail & clear clean eyes, how any person parted with her makes me wonder unless it was an elderly person who had to go into care, She ia very elegant;
Greetings from Vienna. Very ironic that Andre is filming here on the day we should have been at his conert here. We did go to a wonderful concert last night. Much better than I expected. Another tonight. Actually last night would have been a miserable night for an outdoor concert. Cold and damp. Our concerts are indoors. Going to Shonbrunn today.
Just a remonder to those in the UK and those in Europe that can get UK's CHANNEL 5, that Andre in New York is on tomorrow (Sunday) at 1015am, it's only 60 mins less ads, so can't be the full concert
Hi Steve, I get a little cross with TV in UK last time Andre was on TV it was the same 1hour and then the ads so not much of Andre but I will still be watching along with me 2 and half granddaughter who is sleeping over and loves Andre hugs and luv Ruth
Well, it was good to see the concert, but even though it was put together by Andre Rieu Studios, it was nowhere near long enough to do the concert justice, no wonder people have a go at his music, it did not reflect what an Andre Concert is all about, yes it was good, but rather sharp editing aqnd disjointed, shame on you Channel 5.

Hi all, I see in the UK a 'new' Andre DVD is out on Monday "New York Memories" which although is not new, it is for the UK, who are still playing catch-up! BUT this release says 167mins, and the orginal is 160 mins, I don't suppose anyone here knows what the 7 mins are do they ?
and... mamanged to get last minute tickets for Maastricht in 15th July, only Block C sadly, and no Hotels available, but we'll get it sorted

I wonder if she will ever sing with André again. Does anybody know?

To all you lovely people who mention publicity in Australia it is bloomin NIl we hear nothing if I was'nt a member on Andre's site & here that would be it, I passed on to so many people after Mass the news about Andre's concert being live streamed, I felt I should have got on the microphone & announced the details, its soooo sad that if you did'nt have a computer you just would not know, WHY IS THIS SO???
Fay, I rang Hots Chadstone cinema [Victoria] about Cinemalive and the said they will advertise it 2 weeks before the date [I think they are only thinking school holidays for the next 2 weeks] I will watch to see if this is so and call in for my ticket as is says on website that tickets are available from Wednesday next. Heres hoping.
Steve, the Goden Tulip Apple Park Hotel in Maastricht is advertisiong itself as the whole Andre experience, perhaps you could try them.

I am chilling(relaxing) in a chilly South Africa with daytime temps between -2 and 14/18 degrees Celsius.I have watched André playing " Je'taime" on a DVD that a friend has compiled for me. I am not sure whether it features on any of André's normal/official DVD's, maybe someone can tell us. It is French for: "I love you" and is stunningly, gorgeously beautiful! Less than 3 weeks now till Maastricht. Sooooooooo excited. Been out today trying to fing something new to wear but no luck. I am sure Andre won't mind me wearing something I have worn before because he has only seen one of my outfits at O2 London. Oh I hope we see more of Carmen, I just love the interaction between Andre' & her it is so good apart from the fact that her performance is always so good, I am not sure which I like best, I think The Hansel & Gretal one, then also in that milk coffee dress when she sings Heal the world; DEIRDRE have a really great break let your mind relax with a little bit of music, relax & unwind, I can think of lots of music but may I advise you on who plays the best music, there is a MAN called Andre' Rieu he has one or two cds/dvds. that are rather nice!!! Ha Ha; Sylvia I can go into skype no problems but when I put in my password they tell me its wrong I wrote it down when I did it the 2nd. time around still the same. I will get the better of it eventually but don't hold your breath; MAUREEN we get no publicity about Andre, I get a bit cheesed off, its almost as if because there is no scandal coming from Maastricht, & other parts of the world where He & His people travel they are'nt news worthy, its very very sad, this world needs more of what Andre' gives us, to all of those going to Maastricht enjoy your time spent there, it will be SPECIAL ;I am just counting the days to the live streaming, 20 days;;;;

Hi Diedre, yes they are filming all over the place. They were indoors at the Schoenbrunn on Sunday (it was pouring out). They missed a chance last night, it was beautiful out but rain had been forecast so they took down the lighting towers, etc. an left. I understand that one of the crew members said Andre went back to Maastricht. Last day in Vienna. Didn't see half of what I intended to. I understand you will be in Maastricht next year. Me too.
hi Deirdre, sitting reading and listening to a fabulous man and a good book sounds great to me, mind you I only usually read at night, but some nights I stick my earphones in and listen to a gorgious man with a violin. hugs and luv Ruth
Jeanine Ann how is your Camellia doing ? have your other cats accepted her ok, that is a real challenge, does she like music? not just any music, there are lots I know but trully only one I can think of at thia moment in time, as I do this I am playing on the IQ box Andre's first concert here,Jasper is sitting in front of the heater watching through the fins, I'm not sure who is craziest him or me; Have a Blessed Andre Day
Hi Fay, Camellia is doing pretty well but she sleeps so much day and night. It could be the antibiotics. She is taking 62.5 mg. twice a day for her skin infection and when she was spayed they found a bladder infection because we noticed she would cry when she went in the cat box. Our regular vet did not spay her, the "traveling vet" did that because he is about $200.00 cheaper than our regular vet. He makes house calls for shots and things like that. He does spaying once a week in his home office. I don't think our regular vet will mind because they realize how much money we spent for Cotton and needed a break as far as money is concerned. We take her back tomorrow to our regular vet to have her checked for her skin condition and the bladder infection. We have not had her long enough to know what she likes or doesn't like. We know she likes cat food. She eats three times a day and quite a lot. All cats are different. As we go along we will find out what she likes. Thanks for asking. Sounds like Camellia is settling in she would'nt eat & sleep so much if she was'nt happy, travelling vet sounds interesting, my vet is good he gives pensioner reductions & when I had Tinkerbell put to sleep [ she was 19 & the life of a Siamese is 10] she was almost going into kidney failure, David my vet said take her home when your ready give me a ring & I will come to you, which he did, after I wrapped her in a bunny rug he put her in the body bag, but when He went to the car He sat Tinky on his assistants lap, I don't care if he went around the corner & put her in his boot, here he treated her with dignity, I know that sounds silly but it did mean a lot for me, I don't think Andre' has a cat only dogs, I could imagine Him sitting with a cat on His lap, maybe He does'nt sit still long enough for a cat ha ha;

I have just looked on Carmens site and you are correct. In her schedule it does say she will be appearing in Maastricht . Sorry I haven't written recently but I started doing the Dukan Diet on 1st July
and in 5 days I have lost 5 lbs (c.2 1/4
kg). I have to continue till Sunday doing Protein only, no fat, lots of water. Although I prefer vegetables and fruit, it has been made better by
having to take 1 1/2 oatbran a day and
he gives you a lovely recipe for oatbran
galettes (like very thin crepes or
pancakes). I have two of these a day with no fat vanilla yoghurt. From Monday I shall have 1 day protein and the second day protein and vegetables.
I am also going to have the coaching.
Each morning I shall get an email from them giving me various ideas for the day
etc. and in the evening I have to send them an email stating what I have eaten
and my moods all during the day. When I was 18 I weighed 9st.7lb, when I got
engaged I weighed 11st.7lb and at my highest when I was stressed out working for the Red Cross I weighed. 22 stone!
Today I weigh 19st11lb and wanted to get down to 11st7lb, but they believe
you should stay at a weight which they
call your TRUE weight which they say for me is 13st. They say I will reach that by October of next year. Look I know I must have bored you to tears, but just keep your fingers crossed for
me to succeed this time. I am not getting any younger. I will be 70 in December and I don't want another heart
attack and by losing weight hope to relieve the intense pain in my back.
With the coaching, Keith and some of you
on my side, I feel I could succeed this time as it is a slow process. hugs

I think you're doing fine with your diet! anyway, I keep my fingers crossed (and my eyes crossed, if necessary) so u succeed and reach your optimum weight!
I myself have to be on a diet, cos if i quit smoking kg-s will start to pile up and i don't want that!
My diet, right now looks like this: one huge cup of blog comments on empty stomach, in the morning, a cocktail of friends and their emails before and after lunch (no sugar added, not necessary), evening meals will be washed down with several miles long talks on Skype. and to absolutely everything Andre's music is added, to make taste more 'picant'!
right before going to sleep I pour myself a bubbly of Andre photos and waltzes, just to make my dreams sweeter.
well, girls and boys, what do you think, can i go on keeping such a strict diet for long!?

It has been a while since I have posted but I thought that those who remember me (and in some cases met us) should be updated about my wife's health. We found out a few few days ago she has a small brain tumor that is cancer. The doctor says when we get the test results back in a few days hopefully it can be treated....My best to everyone

Hi, my thoughts, exactly. I also like Sir Anthony Hopkins, as an actor. The role I liked most, and the movie, of course, was "Meet Joe Black". A fantastic movie! Gives you a lot of food for thought!
Oh, yes, and there was Brad Pitt there, whom I actually didn't like before, but in this film he was excellent.
I do not know much about Hopkins, as a person, not much about his life, but this waltz, his talent...just great. And his taste is impecable!! He chose the best of the best to perform this wonderful waltz!
I know the question was meant for Sylvia, but my favorite actor is Yves Montand, I also love him as a chanson singer. (and my fav. actress is Marilyn Monroe, only let's keep it a secret. but there are others like Helen Miren or Ingrid Bergman)

Hi Brenda, I will check to make sure you are not blocked. This happens in once in a while and I noticed they (tech support) moved a few things around in the last day or so because I go to a certain spot to look for certain things and they are not there. It doesn't sound unlike the Israeli Army Diet I tried years ago in one of my attempts to lose weight. I remember they said you'd lose 20 pounds in 3 weeks on it. I lost 19 and a half pounds, so was pretty close.

Yesterday we were in the Belvedere, one of Vienna's most beautiful palaces. André was there to receive a most prestigious award: the Golden Honorary Medal of the Republic of Austria! To his surprise, his friend Sir Anthony Hopkins traveled to Vienna to attend the ceremony.
André and the orchestra performed a small concert where we took the opportunity to play the very first performance of the waltz "And the waltz goes on" by Sir Hopkins. Look at the preview video here at andrerieu.com

But André had also another special surprise for his Viennese audience. He composed a brand new waltz: The 'Wiener Festwalzer'! Both pieces will be on our new cd! The album will be released this autumn.

BBC 4 TV and seeing the Vienna Philharmonic and ballet dancers performing their 2011 Open Air Summer
Concert in the grounds of Schonbrunn.
I heard Pictures at an Exhibition,

Hi Deirdre, Yes Lillie loves him to bits. I was printing something out yesterday with a picture of Andre she got so excited telling us all "Music Man, Music Man" so I let her take it home. Her all time favourite is the Lady Clogs!she dances round with her hands on her hips (well sort of for a 2 & 1/2 year old) I do hope we are reasonable near the stage as we hope to take her down so she can wave at Music Man. I didn't realise you were all off to Maastricht next year, what a great time that would be, meeting all the faces to the names in real life. A trip of a life time. DEIRDRE Himself & co are not on cable they are being beamed via SATELITE to selected cinema's 24th July; Here is a tip for all servants to cats, to stop hair ball problems put a little bit of Petroleum Jelly on the front leg it will be licked off & no more hair balls do this at least every 2 weeks, in Australia this product is called Vaseline don't know about elsewhere, it saves a lot of problems & fights of having to administer other fur ball remedys; SYLVIA congratulations on your diet I admire your tenacity, I also love your poetry very moving & heartfelt thank you for sharing;I don't think I like The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge It sounds OLD to me which no doubt the Title is But William & Kate are beautifully young Prince & Princess sounds better we hear a lot of English commentators still call Her Kate Middleton which She definitely is not any more , I am having a go now as I always Thought The English were very proper, they are a lovely couple & its so easy to see they love each other, William will make a Great King & Her support of Him will make Her much loved by the people, I am just sorry I won't be around to witness that event, as unlike Andre' I will not make 120 years ; its so cold here I am going off to bed with My E/blanket & my 2 favorite fellows you all know who they are;

that bottom photo was on the Kerry Ann morning show He was playing MY WAY, it was nice when Frank Sinatra sang it. but to hear Andre' play that piece on His Violin is something else; DEIDRE, if you have the Australian one with the castle thats good, but my favorite is still Maastrict 3 the one with all the wind players, very stirring, & on a cold day you could all get up & march to His music, what flavour soup are you making I love soup, I am very sneaky Nelly is not a lover of vegetables, so I put everything in & when its cooked I whizz it all with my magic wand, I bought a ham hock last week & was going to make pea soup, alas her self said no, so I am going to cook the hock & make potato & leek which she does like, I think the hock will give it a nice flavour, I like to cook the hock Then let it stand, & remove all the fat when its cold alas the meat from the hock does'nt go back into the soup I just love it; going back to Andre's music I dont think it matters what you play they are all great, last night I went back to Be My Love, it has pieces in it of Himself as a young boy also He visits Frank playing The Second Waltz on the carillion in the church tower & at the end He looks out over the city & says My Maastricht, it tugs the heart strings; have a great Andre' day;

The book is indeed amazing, a very well produced book, with lots of stunning photos, I bought a copy at Saturday's Concert, but it was not wrapped very well, and became rain damaged (Boy did it rain!) I did ask the website helpdesk if they could help, but in a nutshell they said "tough" they are not resonsible for rain
Wow I think the above book is a must have, I love that cheeky photo its on the cover of Fiesta Mexicana, you know there are so many lovely pictures of Andre' how fitting that they will be in a book, I have the photo I received with my gold member broach, in a frame on my freezer, with a little ET clipped on the frame Stephen my son asked is he telling Andre' to phone home, then He said no He's telling Andre' to phone Fay ha ha, I wish; how do we pronounce the name of those lovely glasses, is Rieu key ?? correct;

We had an afternoon of pure bliss. Two of my friends came over for a Rieu afternoon and we watched:'Live in New York' and 'La vie est belle!' We enjoyed hours of pure magic!!Ooooh André's eyes are sooooo blue and beautiful on the 'La vie est belle' DVD, I could swim in them for hours on end!!! My friends told me that André looked wonderful for his age and that he has a lot of charm. They also reckon that I must help with the promotion of André Rieu in South Africa! Ha-ha, they said that they do not know anybody with a greater love for André! I then told them about the GIRLS on the blog, and they just laughed! Oh wow,how we LOVE André!!!!!

You are right Maureen Andre and Jean-Philippe did compose the song and his brother was with him on that DVD we call the Boat Cruise concert. I tried to many times to find the version of Andre playing the Love Around The World DVD which has the Tennessee Waltz so I could SEE him play it but so far I have not found it. There is another song Je' Attendrai which he also plays on one of the DVD's and cannot find that either. Have you ever seen how many version there are of this DVD? I just don't know where to get them, except for the one that I have. Hugs to you
JA, the DVD you are talking about "Walzertraum", also a Video from it, has not any of those two favorites of you on, the only time I saw André playing the Tennessee Waltz was in an Interview with Stefan Raab on ZDF, Stefan Raab was permitted to play the ukulele with the JSO and Rieu, it was a very funny interview. Stefan Raab asked André if André Rieu is his real name, because it is French, he said yes, and Stefan meant: I would have rather thought a Dutchman to be called like: WIM VAN DE KRACHTEN, even André thought it was funny. He made 7 CDs of this "Walzertraum" for different countries, Tennessee Waltz is on "Heartstrings" , I guess the American version. perhaps you find the J´attendrai on the French version? for sure on one of his Salon orchestra CDs,not on a DVD.
I just looked, I have the CD the German and the French version, the French is called:" Croisière Romantique" and j´attendrai is on it.

Toni, As far as we all know here there is no Dvd to be made of this years concerts in Australia. Could be wrong as they have just announced a Xmas DVD from the cave where they did an earlier concert for their Queen. But I think the answer to your question is NO.

Hi everyone here is the latest news from Lyndall Freeman regarding Rob. Hope he continues to improve.
Hi everyone
This is a quicky to let you know that all went well with Rob when he had
the colonoscopy. It showed that at the diverticulitis is still as acute,
but apart from that, things looked ok. There were a number of polyps,
which have been removed. The surgeon said they all looked benign, but
have been sent away to pathology to make certain. He sees the surgeon on
the 21st when he'll get the results. Now he can get around he is trying
to act like Superman again and last night was paying the price, having
to go to bed early, feeling nauseous and in pain. Still, nothing I can
do. Can't get through that thick skull of his. Hopefully, unless he does
something really stupid, the 21st will be the last of it. Fingers Crossed.
To our Aussie friends, don't forget the upcoming cinema experience on
the 24th.
I will still be doing little on the computer, so continue to ask not to
send any uneccessary emails please. This is the first time I've been
online, since the last time I sent you an email and the pc is soooo
slow, I can't be bothered at the moment to wrestle with it.

Usually at the top of the video a little tab pops us which reads "Download This Video". Try it on our blog first and if it is not attached then go to YouTube. The music of "The Old Castle" isn't just a romantic story, as the video shows, a lot more than that. That's why I prefer to just listen to the music, rather than watch. It takes me to "places" I have never been before!
Whoever touched his soul like this? And endowed Him with such a gift no musician, no MAN has?

Eve, if you are interested in listening to more music that Andre and JeanPierre composed there is La Vie Est Belle which is on the DVD of that name and also I Love You which I have on Romantic Paradise. I think they are very clever as this music is very emotional and seems to envelope you as you say of The Old Castle.

I am potty about old films of the 30's, 40's, 50's in particular. I sometimes used to buy themn from a company called
Simply Home Entertainment who were vile.
They waited till they had all the orders
and then they would order them in, so I stopped buying from them. However, I have found Classic Movie Store on
(020) 8123 1333. Wow are they good!
I bought 4 Bette Davis films the other day and today I received a pack of 6
Garbo dvd's. They take 2 to 3 days to
arrive. The 6 Garbo films cost £18.99
for the lot. How cheap is that! If you
ring up ask for Phil. If you leave a
message on the answering machine, you normally get rung up the same day. Try
them. I can't imagine I am the only one

When visiting my friend in Pretoria,I listened to the CD 'You Raise Me Up' and once again I was in awe of how perfectly André plays the violin.It is PERFECT and cannot be improved upon by any other violinist!! Actually the whole ensemble is perfect! Our André is the best MAESTRO ever, there are no mistakes and the music is breathtakingly beautiful!!
I just thought to share this with all of you. What do you think?

EVE your statement A MAN FOR ETERNITY, how true is that, He gives us all His talent & genuine honesty that even as I watch a dvd each time I find something I missed last time, I have a set of 5 that I bought just to get a special one that was'nt available as a single, the set is called Be My Love, the single is My Music My Life, but it is not the one of the same name that was made after the castle was built, its a beautiful dvd, it shows Andre' growing up some with His Mum, some concerts, Frank playing up in the church tower & at one of the concerts I think a glimpse of Marjorie, after the Bull has been through the Audience Andre lifts up His eye & directs His smile to a lady , she returns the same gesture & shrugs, this I think is She who shares Her Man with us, I also read somewhere that the first bull was Pierre, & I felt the gesture made was what 2 parents would do on a trial run, then I could be wrong & just have a vivid imagination????; JEANINE ANN I have looked through all I have & can't find those pieces you are after, we have over 40 cds & 38 dvds, { I think I like the Artist featured} maybe they are on an earlier one that is no longer currently available, I only have what has been on sale since 2008, think of all the years I missed out on, why did'nt we know Him, publicity about Andre Is nil here, still nothing on The concert being live streamed from Maastricht, we would'nt have known if I had'nt been a gold fan member, my email came from Andre's people; ???????

Oh, Pie Jesu is just beautifully sung by Kimmy and Mirusia with the two Gospel Choirs!! Thank you SWEETIE for bringing a little bit of the first Maastricht concert into our homes!! The weather turned out fine and I am sure that a little bit of Rieu Magic was involved!

Hi Brenda, I don't think it is your computer. The videos do that a lot. They stop and must re-gather the video that is coming through. I hate that too. Is rank 3 on the left facing stage? As far as the video I would download it to your computer and play it when you want and hopefully it will not need to buffer so often. I hope you will have a wonderful time next week. I also hope you can get some photos for us of our darling man. I think you said someone with you will be taking photos. Bet you are so excited!!! Love and hugs to you
Fay, Andre's Cinemalive Concert in Melbourne is being advertised in the Sun on the cinema page, are they not doing that in Sydney. I have my ticket and look forward to next Sunday Cheers
JEANINE ANN thank you for the video, thank God the weather was Ok I looked at the forcast & it said Rain , but we all know Andre' has an agreement with St Peter; also I am trully a dill I went to some cds I had & found J'ATTENDRAI, it belongs to a set of 3 called "ANDRE'RIEU MASTERPIECES" there is a number on the back & on the disc box's 531 8140, also disc 1+2 are played by the JOHANN STRAUSS ORCHESTRA< 3 is played by THE MAASTRICHT SALON ORCHESTRA, hope thats helpfull the box is bright orange you could never miss it, also it advertises Maastricht 2 concert, Dancing through the Skies & the cd You'll Never Walk Alone, so its not so very old; I have ordered that new photo book as I am sure it will have some great photos in it, this guy does some great ones I especially like the one off "You Raise Me Up" it looks down on me as I am on the computer I love the gentleness in that photo, I am so looking forward to next sunday & Andre' on the big screen, here its on V MAX don't know what that is as I never go to movies Guess I will find out eh; Joshephine I don't know how to do what you ask sorry, I think similar is on another dvd I will look through what I have till I find it & let you know, todays Gospel was about the Mustard Seed, not being ereverent I think Andre' has sown a little seed in all of us & look how it has florished & flowered in us all ;

Our André will be seen by many people on the blog! Cinemas and then a few lucky devils(ha-ha) seeing him live in Maastricht!! The only 'live' thing here in South africa is when you play one of your own 'live' DVDs!! Damn, life sucks down here!

It rained cats-and-dogs in Maastricht last night. The fans had to cover themselves with plastic!! I wonder if André provided it? I saw a photo in an article and the journalist mentioned the fact that it was the first concert ever in Maastricht where André had bad luck! But cheer up Girl, the weather will clear up and you are going to have a beautiful concert!!

I will be waving the pink envelope. As you said it will be interesting to see how many people are at the theatre. My friend and I have booked in to also go to the next session, not as much fun as going to Maastricht but two are better than one !!!
I just watched a video of Mirusia flying through the air as Mary Poppins,not a U tube one. The best part was while she was changing for the next song our gorgeous one Sung Supercal.....
that would be the first time I have ever heard him "singing" on stage.
It was raining on the saturday night which was the night that they were going to record the DVD and the cinema screening so maybe they did it on another night, I'm sure Andre would have had it all worked out. I also watched the 2 videos of the dress rehearsal in the rain when he did the English intros, quite funny,

I think most of the DVD and Cinema Live footage was done on Friday night, also Anthony Hopkins was there that night too, inn fact the steadicam crew kept getting in the way!
on Saturday night, the crew were mainly on stage, As Friday was glorious, and Saturday was almost mid winter, they will have trouble editing audience shots, but the stage footage will be fairly easy to edit in.
Having said all that, that is only my take on it !

We went to the Friday 'Premiere' concert, with Mr Hopkins there! lasted over three and a half hours, gone midnight thirty before it ended, having started at 9pm, and we were up at 4am to get there, also went to the Saturday concert, but had to give up about half way, Tina had, had enough and was in a lot of pain (long term back injury) and very wet and cold

The photographer, de Roos, had been following André for three years and took some beautiful photos of André at concerts, André on the road and André, the man off stage. He then compiled a photo book that shows who and what André really is. The man behind the phenomenon( André Rieu,The man/the person behind the remarkable person, the person that we all know on stage at concerts) Hope this explains the title a bit. Great. I always feel as if the newest one has come to keep me busy. He knows it was time for the other to go and has come to help fill a void, but also the older one has made a place for the new one as it should be.
OH JEANINE ANN, I don't cry very often these days, BUT, the above is so very, well, it tugs at the heartstrings, thank you for sharing that piece of remembering, your cats are fortunate to have a person who cares, I get so upset with those creatures who let their cats roam & fend for themselves, in fact I get down right angry, & to see road kill makes me shudder, my cats have always been a part of our family, mind you 1 at a time for me, but I admire those who care about more, we have a Cat protection society here in NSW. they take in unwanted cats & find homes for them, also if you are aged you can leave you cat with them & they take care of you pet after you have passed on, the cats each have their own little bed, cot or special chair their own kitty litter, a fenced yard & heated rooms of with about 4 or 6 cats & they smell nice which says a lot, in fact they live in luxury but without their loved one, you can visit & give those cats some TLC. HELEN I will watch out for you & your pink envelope, thank you, we are in row N 16+17, I received another email today that says the concert will be performed in English, will have to wait & see??? alas still no other publicity I wonder why unless I have missed something mind you I don't have tv on all day & I only listen to 2ch on the radio;they advertise Event cinemas but push the older movies like Ben Hur, etc. Sunday is not far away now;

Our André is playing quite a different variety of songs in Maastricht and not the same old same as always.KALKI sings: 'I Will Follow Him' and it is the first time that I really hear her sing 'solo.' What a beautiful voice! Our André played 'Singing in the rain' when it was raining cats-and-dogs, how sweet of him!! Marcel Falize plays the beautiful Bolero and our brave Mirusia(Mary Poppins) 'flies' over the audience with her cute umbrella in the rain!! The two Gospel Choirs are colorful and bring a bit of flavor to the concerts and our André is charming and handsome!! I think that Maastricht is this year THE PLACE to be!!

Hi Inge. Yes, he toured wih the St. Petersburg group and the Harlem Gospel Choir before. I saw both in person at those times. St. Petersburg were cute. Not a fan of HGC. I understand they went over well in Europe but not the US and he didn't bring them on the US tour. I would have liked seeing Mirusia flying over the audience. I always thought Kalki had a nice voice from the little I heard.
We saw that presentation in
Radio City with Suzan and Celine. I will probably go next year again.
I agree Virginia, with the HGC, I thought it was a nice idea in their home City N.Y. in the Radio City Music hall, but in the end they got on my nerves with Saints go marching in, I thought they never stop, but Akim and Carla were great and Celine was a good mother superior, she even looked like the one from Sister act with Whoopi. The St. Petersburg Trio was here with André I liked them, he picked them up on the streets of Maastricht.

My Lulu just love going outside and sometimes she visits our neighbors. Today my blood ran cold when one of my neighbors send his Gardener to our house with a message that he is going to shoot Lulu if she ever comes into his yard again!! Can you believe it!!?? We have many cats in our street and we all tolerate our 'street cats' because we are 'family' and respect each other. He is a very nasty man and Johann will go see him tomorrow. If this is the case I will have to keep Lulu indoors for the rest of her life, soooo unfair!!

Josephine you are off to Maastricht, you will have the best time at Andre's concert, they are all super, but when I look at the concerts on dvd done in Maastricht, to me they have that extra something, when He was here this year He spoke about going to His empty room & putting His Pyjamas on, but In Maastricht He has Marjorie to go home to, He more than deserves that, I often think its sad that she does'nt travel with Him but then its must be extra special when He does come home & now He has granbabies as well, I fancy they are much loved; EVE you have a rare talent the eyes get to me every time sometimes they look sad at other time they look cheeky & mysterious, which ever way you look at Himself He really is someone to take notice of, like you He has changed my outlook on life & given me so much Peace, also Narelle the relief from pain His music gave her was unbelievable, if I had'nt seen & heard it I would'nt have believed, & Jasper loves Him too that has to be seen how he reacts to Andre's music, He is a cat with excellent taste;

I had an email reminder from Andre's people about the live streaming of his concert & it stated performed in english, interesting, will wait & see 3 more days, we are going out for lunch tomorrow Nelly will be 52, we are going to a place called "Pancakes on the Rocks" at Northmead they make the very best pancakes you could eat anywhere with so many different glorious toppings, my favorite is black forest, with with black cherries, ice cream & cream a weightwatchers delight or nightmare, depending on how you look at it, I don't think I have ever seen such a variety, either savory or sweet, you can have small or large servings too, which will suit Nelly as she can only eat small amounts, still no publicity about The Maastricht concerts, I don't understand why????

I started the Dukan Diet on 1st July, i.e.3 weeks ago, and have lost only 8lbs. I suppose it is good really, but I wish it were more. I haven't cheated once: no potatoes, rice, pasta, peas,
sweetcorn, wine etc. Still i am thinking positively. No what can I NOT have, but what I CAN have and there is
lots of things I can have. Also we have
been out twice to restaurants and they
accxommodated my peculiar requests.

This is such good news for all the people who cannot get to a concert & lets face it Andre' just cannot be everywhere, He is one human being plus all his people as well to be able to see Himself & Co on the big screen is really super, I received another email last week that told me Andre's concert would be performed in english only have to wait till tomorrow to find out, we are going to Parramatta by train its only 4 stations away & I hate having to pay for parking, the shopping centre's get built they suck you in to shop there then they start charging for the parking I do get p>>>>>d off about that, so as a rule I don't go if I am going to be over the 3 hour limit; somebody asked about the twins in Andre's orchestra would they perhaps be the twins Marjorie's book is written about, they would be grown up by now maybe???? Still now publicity about the Concerts being shown at selected cinemas?????/

I am soooo lonely!!! No broadcasts of André in South Africa AND I am not in Maastricht to watch a live concert! Boo-hoo!! BUT, I have wonderful friends who can share their experience with me - thank you soooo much!! I have ordered a scarf and CD from André's website and are eagerly awaiting the moment they arrive. HA-HA YESTERDAY THE POOR POSTMAN DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HAD HIT HIM!! When I came back from school he just came out of our driveway on his bicycle. I rushed to our postbox to see whether there is a notice to collect my merchandise at the post office,NOTHING!! I charged down the road and tackled the postman off his bicycle!! I then emptied the container on the road in search for my notice and found nothing!!I then reached out my hand to help the postman back onto his feet. He crawled away from me with horror written all over his face?He grabbed his bicycle and rode away like a madman!! I wonder why!!???

WOW! I think that one word says it all what a fabulous concert The music The Man The atmosphere, I think His best concert ever so full of surprises, Mirusia flying through the air,as Mary Poppins, The Soweto Choir, The other choir from New York, I have forgotten their name, The Petersburg Trio, & I think 2 sets of twins in the JSO, Kimmi's voice has got stronger, & Andre' well words cannot describe what its like to see this beautiful Man on the big screen, that is something else again, the only down part was he kissed the narrator twice made me most jealous, & to top it all off a brilliant show, Anthony Hopkins waltz is beautiful & played by The Master of all waltz's as I said WOW, we met Helen who was going again this afternoon if I could have I would have too; the only down thing was the amount of people attending, I was dissapointed the cinema was barely half full I put this down to the lack of publicity, unless you got a message via the net how would you know? it was in the sunday telegraph, a bit late I reckon these type of moments need a little planning to me today is too late, such a shame as I know there are many people who would have gone if they knew about Andre' concert, once again Our Beautiful Andre' has shown us what Great Entertainer He most definitly is;

Oh my gosh how wonderful is Cinemalive. I have just returned from 3 hours of bliss. Andre spoke English and seemed to speak more than usual, not just quips and adages but speaking direct to us and the audience were with him all the way. Mirusia and Kimmi were gobsmackingly good as was St.Petersberg Trio and a new trio who sang in Russia.
This concert had everything including Anthony Hopkins beautiful walz. I could not have asked for more even saw Marc dancing [I think]
I'm in 7th heaven, hope the DVD is as good. I hope lots of you got to see it.

Deirdre you made me laugh so much as I can visualise you running after the postman, you are a funny lady, it hurts to laugh today I am stiff all over, I slipped on popcorn on the stairs at the cinema & fell like a ton of bricks, I am going to write to them & complain as we were the first show of the day & it was filthy the tables between the seats were all sticky plus popcorn on many of the seats not good but watching Andre'on that big screen was beyond my words of explanation, all english too, Himself speaks it so well now I look back at some of the earlier dvds, all I can say He speaks it as well if not better than anyone, there was a trio 1lady 2men in national dress who sang just before The Maastricht Anthem, I don't know who they were but all the people knew them so I assume they were Netherlanders? it was such a great concert & such a shame only a few knew it was on, I have friends who I redirected my email too they went to Campbelltown, we shared our feelings last night as the daughter had only seen Andre' on dvd, she was over the moon, but said likewise the cinema was half full such a shame so many people missed out on seeing Andre'& co this way, bigger than Ben Hur, & if like us you went early we saw half of last years concert from Maastricht, I can live wiyh my memories for a long time, gosh I hope both Marjorie & Andre' have a happy & peacefull holiday;
Hello Fay, Firstly may I say how I enjoyed meeting you and Nelly yesterday and spending a little time with you at the cinema. Sorry to hear that you had a fall, did it happen on the way out? I noticed there was popcorn spilt on alot of the floor.
My friend and I had 6 hours of Andre. There were only 9 people at the second screening and we all got to meet each other. One lady had Never Ever seen Andre before she had only heard of him and she thoroughly enjoyed the concert. She was sitting behind us and there were many oohs and aahs so he has a new fan, we told her where to go to get his dvd's.
I have just sent an email to Andre's customer service desk to ask if the new photo book will be translated into english and if so when, as my friend and I would both like a copy naturally!!
I also mentioned to them about the lack of publicity for the screenings as I think Andre should be made aware of it or we may not be able to see it again.
The concert was wonderful, I just love Andre so much. Hope you feel better soon.

HELLO HELLO all my dear friends.Just a short line to let you know I am back BooHoo. But oh my goodness. I find it hard to put into words the wonderful time I have had. I have been sooooooo close to Andre and he looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL. He came out on the steps of the Theatre for about 20 minutes before the performance and I was about 2ft away from him and then he marched down the street right in front of my very eyes. It has been the most fabulous weekend of my life. The atmosphere in and around the Vrijthoff Square was a simply ELECTRIC. Saw Pierre and Marc as well as JSO.Saw Marc's paintings. Hope my pictures come out ok. Met our dear friend Brenda and her lovely daughter Jenni.Our Hotel was lovely Only 2 minutes from the Vrijthoff. Went and had a look at the Hotel you girls have picked for next year Thats about 5/10 minutes away. I can't write everything in one go so I shall put things on in dribs and drabs and hopefully do a proper write up with pictures soon. But I have just got to go next year. There is nothing to compare to the Maastricht Concert. Until you have seen Andre up close you haven't lived. He is just soooo handsome and Gorgeous and Beautiful and everything else that's lovely. Oh heck I could go on and on but I gotta stop for breath now. I am even more in love with His GORGEOUSNESS now.Ladadeda Lots of love for now

Jeanine, we found through trial and error that several rows back is more comfortable. The stage is higher than any others I have been at and it's uncomfortable being too close because of the angle. And, if you're back a bit you can get the whole picture. Also, if you can't get center, go left, not right. From the right, because of the angle Andre often blocks the soloist because of where he stands. That's what I've learned so far.
Thank you Virginia. I thought the stage looks pretty high. Okay we will try for left if we cannot get center. I just hope we get good seats after going all that way. I guess you will be going also next year. What about Martha. Did you hear anything from her? Thanks much for the information. Hope your kitties are well. Camellia is adjusting very well. She is so spoiled already. We love her to pieces. Hug.
I am assuming right now that Martha and I will both be there at some point. Depends on the dates and whether we can get decent seats. We don't stay for the whole series. Next year will probably go to Maastricht for a few days and somewhere else for a few days.

Dear Deirdre, I am also very upset, angry, slighted, misrepresented, not important enough, placed on the back burner, totally ignored here in the USA. I have signed up on various petitions for 'more' than several cinema's to bring these 'Live Streamed' concerts into our local venue of Andre. I have targeted many area's in the New York State venues. We get NO EXPOSURE to these wonderful screenings. Guess Andre feels Northern America has no followers - BOY HOW WRONG HE IS!! I feel he has now devoted all his energies in his European Market and all our Aussie friends. I for one am pi$$ed! (only my opinion)

Our Soweto Gospel Choir was in Maastricht and I thought that our country would be the first to show the concerts in our cinemas! I am now so very pleased that we are going to see the concert even though it is a bit late. But then again, this is Africa! I was surprised when I saw no screenings in the USA!!?? It was like...WOW HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!? The Harlem Gospel Choir performed with our choir and they are from the USA!? Oh but what the heck, André is coming to our cinemas and I will be the first to buy a/many tickets!! GLAD YOU ARE OK AFTER YOUR CAR/COMPUTER TROUBLE!!Hugs xxx

For whatever reason publicity has always been a problem in the USA. I have tickets for Manchester NH for November. I took a look at the site and there are few tickets sold. As he is not going to Boston I thought there would be more sold. I hate going to a sparsely filled arena. I know someone was hired for the NY office but haven't seen a great deal of publicity. Last year we were in row 12 but six rows of more expensive seats in front of us were empty. So we had a wonderful view. But PBS really overcharged for those seats and they didn't sell. PBS has gotten greedy. I think it's time for JSO to do own publicity and go straight to Ticketmaster. But they have to publicize! One year there was a little sign on the arena that could not be seen from the sidewalk and when one got up close to it, it was Andre in his yellow sweater without any words or explanation! I contacted the arena and their reply was that the Rieu organization didn't give them much money for advertising. So, maybe they were relying too much on PBS and need to do their own media campaign.
You are right Virginia. Andre gets no publicity at all here in America. I have never seen anything in the way of publicizing his concerts except at pledge time on PBS and if you don't know him or watch PBS you will never get to know about him. I remember we were sent forms to fill out asking us all kinds of questions about marketing Andre and the JSO. I am sure all the fans filled this out and gave them all kinds of suggestions but nothing has happened as far as I can see. I know Andre has a New York and a California office but what are they doing as far as marketing? You never see anything on TV, nothing in magazines. It seems to me like a lot of the people here in the United States do not have culture as far as music is concerned. There is so much Rock and Rap in this country and while some may like this, we Andre fans would like more publicity for him so that people will have the opportunity to get to know him. We know so well how quickly they would get hooked on Andre once they see a concert. Lets hope they get something going for Andre so that we too can look forward to the cinema concerts. Maybe a few letters to the U.S. offices would help. Hugs to all
I agree too, PBS has gotten greedy, if I do not get the seats I ask for this time, they will not get an other penny from me. They also pester me for money even after the pledge, they do not even have his newest DVDs just always the old ones, he was better accepted in Australia and South Africa and Japan than in USA. In Canada only Québec seams to be crazy about him, he always comes back to Montréal, but not to Ottawa or Toronto.. I do not care for hip hop, wrap or all the other crap, so we go to Europe or buy the DVDs, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Maureen & Helen what a show , I forgot to add the bit about Mirusia, as Mary Poppins when she had finished flying & she did a lot of that, when she came on stage & sang supecalafragalistic etc. in a big puff of smoke she dissapeared, then Andre' did His bit of where has she gone & urged everyone to call out the Super word, then she reappeared in another gown & sang Don't Cry For Me Argentina, that was really something, also the lady from the choir[ can't think of her name,] with the gospel choirs she sang The Nuns Chorus that was a Wow factor, & the fact that he spoke English, Helen thought it may have been dubbed in but after we spoke I watched His Mouth[ a hard job that was] but to me Andre' was speaking English, oh He's clever Beautiful & a lot of other things too can I be bold & say Sexy?????!!!!!! DEIRDRE, if you go onto Andre's site & go to news, click on to the piece about being in Cinemas if you scroll down South Africa, is date to be announced, so girl start planning if you can when it comes don't miss out, to me it was I think His best concert ever, I think Josephine enjoyed herself, I know I did He looks good on the big screen & anywhere else eh!

I know you want to get as close to His Gorgeousness as possible but I agree with Virginia that in the front row you would be cricking your neck so a few rows back on the end so you can get out easily is better. After all you will have just been up close enough to savour the beautiful aroma of his Cologne on the Theatre Steps.Other than in his pocket my sweet I think that is about as close as you can hope to get.

We met Brenda and Jenni in Coffeelovers on Sunday morning. This is a beautiful old church turned into a bookshop and coffee house and one of Andre's favourite places. We saw Bela one of The Platin Tenors in there and listened to a recital by four young men playing Saxophones. The place was packed and it had a lovely atmosphere

Jeanine Ann, gosh it was such a great concert I got on that was a weird message, thank you I am so suffering withdrawl symptoms, & so wondering what on earth went wrong that hardly anyone knew about Andre's live streaming, there was so little publicity, if i had'nt got an email from Andre's people how would a body know, its almost close to a mortal sin, I have sent a message via His guest book with the statement that not nessasary to put on the net but more a querie as to why next to no media announcements or news paper, as I think it is so sad as many person would have gone the cost for NSW.was $40 00, against concert prices of $1500.oo $200.oo $75.oo, & what an opportunity to see Andre' so big & beautiful;so sexy; DEIRDRE I have to laugh I nearly had an accident in my pants, your poor postman he must think he has struck a crazy lady I can visualise you running after him you will have to explain you are crazy only about 1 particular man, you will have to keep a watch out for the screening you will love Him on the big screen, & Mirusia must have a good head for heights boy did she do some flying far more than the angel does Oh I keep harping its was just so good a concert;

He really is the most fabulously handsome man.He still has this little bit of self concsiousness about him which is soooo endearing. He has never got cockey or arragant. We went on a lovely bus trip around Maastricht and saw the house Andre lived in as a child. I imagined him running around the house laughing and playing or practicing his violin there
Maasricht has a very large Cafe Culture. They never hurry you. You can just sit and chat. Have a coffee or glass of wine and watch the world go by for as long as you like.
Unfortunately we took it for granted all the menus would be in English but we were so wrong which made it a bit difficult to order food. All the waiters and waitresses spoke English though and were extremely helpful
The weather was not very kind to us. It was quite chilly and rained every day so next year I shall watch the forecast and make sure I take the appropriate clothes. It didn't detract from the enjoyment and wonderful atmosphere though

Wow South Africa NEVER had so much snow before!! It normally snows in the mountain areas, but this year we had snow in many other places. Some people's cars broke down and they were trapped in their cars for hours in the freezing cold. Our vehicles are not equipped for these weather conditions and people were asked not to travel! We do not see snow where I live, but it is bitterly cold!I wonder what happened to Global WARMING!? That postman is avoiding me like the plague! WONDER WHY!!! Hugs and sweet André dreams xxxx
Judith good to see your name up hope you are getting over your tyre episode you would have been all shook up to say the least, & like you I am hopping mad about there being no publicity about Andre' being streamed into cinema's its not fair to Andre' & His people, likewise not fair to His many fans, now if He was a womaniser or if there was some sort of scandal attached to Himself that would be blown out of all proportions, its not right that good news is no news, we only ever hear about horrible happenings, there are so many of Andre's fans who would have loved to see what we saw on sunday, 2 friends of mine went to a cinema close to them as I passed on my email, the daughter who has only watched 1 dvd came away so excited she rang me in the evening to ask so many questions about Andre' & His people thank the Good Lord I could answer them her mum who has only seen one concert says she enjoyed the movies more because Andre' was so big & beautiful on the screen which unless you have seats closer to the stage you don't get whereas at the movies you see every facial expression, & believe me His eyes are the most beautiful, you feel like you are right there looking into those big beautiful eyes,; & because we were early they were running last years concert so we saw almost 45 minutes of that as well, that one was great this year was even better I think I need a second cup of earl grey;
It would seem we all have that publicity problem, I know sometimes Andre' goes into a country to promote either His concert or dvd/cd, I know I was sad on Andre's behalf that not many people attended the screenings what a great moment in time. I have a feeling on one of the dvds there was a discussion about Toronto where Andre' said Pierre told a union official they would'nt come there again because the unions caused a lot of problems, [My Music My Life]; I believe Andre' deserves better has anyone got any ideas about generating publicity for our Darling Man, by the way Judith I love your way of spelling pi$$ed off hope I remember that for next time as its a word I do use; DEIRDRE has your mail man fronted yet? poor guy, you say its cold for you well its the same for us but I do prefere the cold to the heat humidity knocks me about so much, my heater packed it in this week so I had to buy a new one I like the wriggly oil heaters as they are safe, ours was 9 years old, so it owes me nothing & its a good time to buy at the end of the season, I think it must have been dying for a while because this one gets so hot, & I like to finish the clothes off as this weather drying takes forever; have a lovely Andre' day all XXXX OOOO MIOW to Lulu & Camellia

Oh wow, I now take the most beautiful pictures of André while listening to his music!!! He has a thousand expressions on his face while playing his violin!! The one picture is more beautiful than the other. The close-ups are to die for!!! JEANINE ANN will put some on for all to see. I have never seen such passion and such love for music before. André gives us his all!!

It was very helpful and now I am busy watching concerts I haven't seen before and also found alot of additional information on Andre which is very interesting. Hope to one day visit Andre's hometown and attend a concert there. I can dream can't I. I hope he comes back to the West Coast again soon. After the one concert I attended, I was hooked. Love his music.
DEIRDRE I agree with you He is a man with more than a thousand faces, all of which I find fascinating, I can look at Himself forever & never get bored, His music is pretty good too, its hard to say which piece I love best, I think My love song must be a waltz, Music of the night & my way, but its easier to say I love the lot, I really do,;I think there are 2 sets of twins in Andre's JSO on the screen it was easy to pick them out, also I think He has 2 new mums to be the lady right on the end who is always first off stage after Andre' & the lady who sits next to Tuen & plays a Lute? either that or they have put on lots of weight we will have to wait & see, it was so evident on the big screen wish it was still last sunday, it made dvds very tame, Have a Rieully great day all those pussy cats too they are trully beautiful little individuals;I don't really understand people who don't like cats something is lacking in their lives, I feel so sorry for them;

I think my very favorite is "The Gadfly" from Romance, Wer uns Gertraut (The one who Married Us) (100 Years of Strauss) Music Of The Night, Intermezzo Sinfonico, Meditation and oh so many more. I have a list of my favorites but these are the songs I could listen to all day. I love to see Andre dance around the room to "My Love Song Should Be a Waltz". What a beautiful man he is! Speaking of cats. Camellia is making herself at home. She has developed a little cough and the vet looked at her. She wants to be sure she does not have asthma. It could be her long hair. Sylvia I can understand your fear of cats one may have frightened you when you were a babe, I was terrified of dogs for years I am still carefull of them, I think there is a difference in our likes & dislikes, what I meant was there are people who are so cruel to animals these are the ones I don't understand, people who buy or get a puppy or kitten & when it grows out of the cute stage neglect & abuse them these are the "people"? I trully can get angry about, when Narelle was little she was terrified of anything furry,a bear, a cat,a doll with hair, & men she used to roll up in a ball & scream, we lived a strange life for a few years, thank God we helped her through those problems,you know I had almost forgotten those years, I can remember going to the zoo, & her awfull fear of most of the animals, she loved the elephants, so my husband took the other 2 children & Nelly I sat & watched people getting on & off the elephants in those days they had a special seat & they could carry about 8 children at a time, & walked around the zoo, she still has a love of elephants, life is strange eh! memories are precious, likewise the memories of Andre' we carry with us of having seen Him of being in His presence, & of course the beautiful music He & His JSO share with us; JEANINE ANN try a little smear of Vaseline on 1leg it helps with fur balls,it may be marketed under a different name in the USA. its white petroleum jelly, & works & is easy as you are not trying to force pills etc. I do it once a week if the cough is bad & 2 weekly otherwise, Have a lovely Andre' Day

ANZAC biscuits,1,1/4 cups plain flour,1 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup caster sugar,3/4 cup dessicated cocanut,2tbl.spoons golden syrup,150grms. unsalted butter,1/2 teaspoon carb soda; place all dry ingredients in a large bowl,except the carb soda, place syrup & butter in saucepan melt slowly, mix carb soda with 1 1/2 teaspoons water, add to melted mixture, then mix into dry ingredients well, roll into small balls place onto tray with baking paper beneath, flatten mixture & bake in a preheated oven 170c. bake approx 12 minutes or until golden brown, these are old but good

vandalism and deaths of many birds, you
will be interested to know that Manchester Council is having a family fun afternoon on Saturday, 13th August
when the Centre will be officially reopened for all people who helped them
rebuild and restock, etc. Unfortunately
I will not be able to go, but maybe Bob
