Josephine's First Andre Rieu Concert In Maastricht

Josephine's First André Rieu Concert In Maastricht
The eagerly awaited day at last arrived. 23rd July 2011. A wonderful day I shall remember with happiness for the rest of my life
We waited excitedly outside of the Theatre at 8 15pm where we had been reliably informed Andre would appear and he and JSO begin their nightly walk to the Vrijthoff
Sure enough, joy of joys Andre appeared like a beautiful apparition, violin in hand, tall, handsome, smiling that smile we all know and love. For about 30 minutes we were given the opportunity to take some wonderful up close photographs and videos firstly of Andre, then later JSO.

At about 8 50pm they all began their stroll to the Square where the Concert was to begin as the Clock of Sint Janskerk struck nine.
We took our seats for the Concert of a lifetime. Andre as usual was Magnificent. He had everyone laughing with his quips and jokes which of course we could not understand but we joined in with the laughter all the same.
During the evening our eyes were drawn skywards on a few occasions.
Firstly when the rain clouds threatened overhead prompting everyone to don the ponchos Andre had so thoughtfully provided
Then a huge Air Balloon decided to make an impromptu visit to the concert, causing gasps when it looked as though it was going to collide with the Church Steeple
Lastly the arrival of beautiful Mirusia flying across the sky as Mary Poppins singing um-diddle-diddle-um diddleye drew a huge applause
During the 3 hour long (too short) Concert we enjoyed as usual The Platin Tenors, Kimi, Kelkie and Mirusia, all joined of course by The Fabulous JSO. Also the gentle Trio St Petersburgh, the loud and vibrant Soweto and Harlem Gospel Choirs and very lively colourful local trio called Ziesjoem who had us all swaying to their music.
We had fireworks, we had confetti, we had music, we had dancing, we had singing, we had laughter, we had fun. But above all we had ANDRE
He had us all singing SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS
Dear friends, believe me it was just that--- and more

Great Photos. I too felt so much Joy when I attended my first concert. I remember we sang all the way home from Cleveland singing, Oh, How we Love Andre. And all the way, we could only talk about our favorite Idol. Thanks for the photos, really enjoy them

HE is THE PHENOMENON of this era!
I am lucky to live now and share his art with each fan and friend.

Oh my oh my. Just seeing this has brought it all back again. My poor little heart is going pitter patter, pitter patter
Oh how I wish it was all happening again next week end and the week end after and the one after that, ad infinitum!! I am such a greedy girl when it comes to Andre
I think you will notice from the video of His Gorgeousness on the steps of the Theatre how shy and vulnerable he looks. He doesn't find it easy walking out in front of us all on his own. He has not,and never will become arrogant or cocky or big headed. I think he feels a bit less nervous on stage with JSO to back him but on his own on the steps he is there just for us. What a man eh!!! Caring and Sharing himself no matter what and I soooo love him for it
Love and hugs xxxxxxx
