Oh my goodness on a day like today it is just so good to be alive. It has been the hottest October day In UK on record
My son took me for a drive and lunch in an area on our doorstep called The New Forest which consists of acres and acres of heathland and has just been made into a National Park.There are ponies, horses and cattle roaming free. It dates back to the Iron Age I believe. Loads of picnic areas. Everyone we saw today was happy and smiling. We had a lovely lunch outside in a pub garden
Then tonight we have had a BBQ in the garden. What a life. And it is His Gorgeousnesses Birthday. Happy happy happy me

Thanks DEIRDRE'we have been fortunate with the studio channel usually each Sunday they have an Andre' dvd showing, this weekend it was Mirusia's featured one, Always & Forever, thats a lovely title eh?, I have kept a few favorites on the IQ box, even though I have the discs, save wearing them out Ha Ha, I am so waiting for the new one to come; I must comment om the beautiful Prose on the birthday site I do hope Andre' can take time out to read them, one can really feel the words from you lovely talented ladies;
I just want to thank everyone for all the prayers and good wishes for my sister Audrey. Her surgery went well and the lymph nodes were clean. So depending on the pathology report on Thursday she should only need the one week of radiation which is good news. She is on her way home as we speak. Next Tuesday she will have a mammosite (don't know if the term is spelled right) and will have little radiation pellets inserted into that balloon twice a day for 7 days. So right now we are very pleased and the doctor seems very positive about the prognosis. So thanks again my friends. Will let you know the pathology report on Thursday. Love and hugs.

Deirdre' are you going to the movies to see our lovely Man, you will love Him on the big screen, have ordered my new dvd from Ovation it won't be available until the end of the month, thats ok, as the cd is on its way but that takes time from The Netherlands; Jeanine Ann Andre' has not put any tweets on since the end of His Maastricht concerts, has He forgotten us????, I have gone back to voting for Him & note He is still No.1 which is great, I sent those people an email asking how can a dead person be "Person Of The Year" they did'nt answer, Ha Ha;

Well, the CD (And the Wa;tz goes on) arrived 2 days ago, and the DVD yesterday, they are EXCELLENT without a shadow of a doubt, now looking forward to the next one,which has to be Maastricht 2011 surely, also have the remastered New Year Concert 'on order'

Good mornin my dear friends.I hope this finds you well and happy. I want to tell you about the dream I had last night
I was in a huge field after spending a day on the beach. There were a lot of people there and rows of individual shower cubicles. It came to my turn and I went into the cubicle and began taking a shower. I looked up and there was a tall man walking past my cubicle. I could only see his head and shoulders.It was ANDRE. He went into a cubicle opposite mine and I could still see his head and shoulders above the cubicle. I came out after dressing and there was a full length mirror and Andre was sitting on a stool in front of it. I checked in the mirror to see how I looked and began chatting to Andre.
I looked to my left and saw a beautiful little village nestling in a valley. The houses were like Austrian chalets. They were covered in snow and lights were twinkling in the windows. I said to Andre.'Doesn't a scene like that make you feel glad to be alive. He nodded and smiled that beautiful smile. He said 'If you go into the village please go to a shop called Leiber and tell them I will meet them at the bottom of the hill. We said our goodbyes and a bit later a man came to me with a piece of torn paper in his hand. On it I read. 'To the girl on the beach. Nice to talk to you. Yes it is good to be alive. Don't ever forget that. Hope you enjoy the concert

Hi everyone, wanted to get this on earlier and my browser froze and I had to leave for a medical test. My sister's pathology test was good news, everything was negative so that means only one week of radiation. We are all very happy about the news. Thank you so much for your prayers and your kind thoughts. She will be fine and will just be monitored a little more often than once a year. Thank God for good results. Hugs

Oh ladies I hope none of you missed Andre's "The Waltz goes on" 2 3/4 hours I am in heaven, the waltz that Andre' & Frank wrote together is so lovely, I know its on the blog but on the tv its even better, & the one Sir Anthony wrote is almost as beautiful, if you missed it its on again tonight 12 midnight on foxtel's Studio, I won't tell you anymore as it will spoil the surprises, I don't know why but today there is so much on studio about The Waltz, its not either of The Strauss mens birthday????. Josephine, I have meant to tell you this & I keep forgetting, we have a programme On studio each friday, its called "The Treasures Of The Trust",it takes you to a different historical home each week, some of the homes in fact all are so interesting, this week we had Rudyard Kipling, what a sad life He had, I love this programme as I know I will never see them in person, the art work in some blows the cobwebs out of my brain, the furniture,even the paintings on some of the ceilings are equal to Schonbrunn; oh dear I am still so full of Andre' who needs pills or strong drink when you can get so many thrills from watching Music played by our lovely Man;

Hi Fay,thanks for asking about our Thanksgiving day. It is a Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed – to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October
It is a statuary holiday, where all government businesses and most others, including stores are closed for the day.
We decorate our homes with fall(autumn) colours and cook turkey etc.It is a great day for getting together with family and friends. I had 10 on Sunday, although Monday is the official day some lucky people are able to celebrate both days.

Jeanine Ann only 39 days are you maybe getting a little excited, I know how I felt earlier this year, I am looking at the dates on Andre's web site every day for dates for Australia but as yet nil, can you imagine the excitement I will have to receive an email from Andre's people for early ticket sales; DEIRDRE' you will enjoy seeing Andre' on the big screen, you will feel like you can run your fingers through His lovely hair, & a bit more ha ha, have you had much publicity about the screening ????, we are being blessed here at the moment 2 showings on studio on sunday plus each night this week for 1/2 an hour, then next saturday Fiesta Mexicana, Christmas has come early, as we have been lucky to get 1 each month up until now, I wonder has someone at foxtel just realised Andre'music is sooooooooo Good, I am patiently awaiting my cd as a young girl from New Zealand sings on it, she has a beautiful voice, she does sing like an angel Andre' sure knows how to pick talent, have a great Andre' Day all;

I can understand how You feel Jeanine Ann , Andre' seems to dare I say bewitch us all, He puts the bubbles into champagne, wait until you see "And The Waltz Goes On"the piece That Frank & Andre' composed is so beautiful, I go so far as to say Heavenly, I recorded it on the IQ box so far I watched it 3 times, we are getting quite a bit of Andre' at the moment I don't know why, up until now maybe once a month if your lucky, we had 2 different ones on Sunday & each night for 1/2 an hour The world of Andre' Rieu, & on saturday Fiesta Mexicana, its great too to see how well the people in Mexico are receiving Andre' & His People, they know a good time can be had & so enjoy all Andre' gives, its good too that Andre' knows just in case He thinks He is forgotten' though I don't think this will ever happen;do you???????
Deirdre' tried to send new email did'nt work, so here is my advise, check urine for infection, if thats ok watch & spray with vinegar & water, when cat sprays, put a litter tray next to where cat sprays, on long curtains Or blinds cut & twist alfoil & pin on curtains, have separate trays for each cat, if all else fails the old cure was pepper & rub the cats nose in it where he sprayed but thats drastic, he may only be trying to show His dominence, good luck; I gave Nelly Andre's calendar from last year to scan & put onto a mouse pad, its beautiful but I just cannot run the mouse over His beautiful face, yes I am crazy I know, guess I'll just look at it for awhile;

Hi all, Would just like to say thank you to all of you how have e-mailed me this last week or so, things are on the up, I have been accepted with the letting agency and get the keys to my new home next Friday and then it will be go, go, go mind you no need for a removal van just some strong young men!!!!. For all of you who live in the UK been to a show of Ken Dodd, when we were children my dad was a real fan and we had our photo taken when Ken opened a music shop where we lived (I was 12 and my sister 11), he is known for his long shows. It started at 7.30pm and ended at 12.00!!! not bad for a chap of 83years!. My sister took along the photos that appeared in the local paper in 1964,for them to taken backstage, we were told to wait and was told Ken would come out to met us, it was magic what a lovely man hugs and kisses and a few more photo's he asked how had we faired in life where we married,how many children and grandchildren, to say the concert hall is only a 5 min walk for me it was 1.20am when I got home. Hi Ruth, first of all I want to tell you that I am so glad that things are working out for you as far as your housing. Now the book, I am not sure but it kind of looks like it except it says 144 pages and the Govert de Roos book is only about 127 or so pages so I don't know what the difference is. I think most of us have all the CD's/DVD's which they list (at least I do) so this would be a great gift for someone (or yourself). I am going to try and find out and will let you know. With great fanfare they opened the new website but the orchestra page is already very outdated.Same thing happened on the last site. It must be someone's responsibility to keep it current. I am feeling very happy and excited that I have booked my seat for Birmingham December 18th 2012.So pleased that Josephine and Darrell are also going to Birmingham LG arena.
I accidentally pressed submit before I had finished writing.
Also, after weeks of dithering I have taken the plunge and booked hotel in Maastricht for July 5th - 8th.

Oh wow the cinema experience was just MAGICAL!! The whole concert was in English, maybe for the sake of the cinema goers and Anthony Hopkins. It was unbelievable to see André larger than life!! We also saw Marc Rieu in the audience and he waltzed on the Blue Danube! We had three hours of fun and were all mesmerized by our MAN. He took us on tour through : André's Maastricht and afterwards they showed a special interview with André. The manager of the cinama promised to give me all the André posters!!!! He is shown at our cinemas for six days, two shows per day! NOW THAT I CALL FANTASTIC FOR SOUTH AFRICA xxx

The Cinema Live show was excellent, what i did find confusing was, although it was recorded on the Friday night in Maastricht, as that was the night Sir Anthony was there, all the links were in English, yet the Friday, they were all in Dutch! There was some very clever editing by CL in post production, there must have been an 'English' concert later in the week, and that was used (?) and no doubt a few other shots were done and cut into the footage, all in all, very clever and a very, good production, only to be expected from 'Andre Rieu Productions' of course.
DEIRDRE, can I say I told you so was it exciting, does'nt Himself & the Jso look good on the big screen, I hope your cinemas had a lot of people filling seats, I just still don't know why the people did'nt all go here, not enough publicity perhaps I know we rang a couple of the cinemas who knew nothing about The Maastricht, one at Castle Hill told us No they had opera on & yet Andre' was screened there likewise in Parramatta, they were ignorant about the whole thing, one person told my daughter they had never heard of Andre' Rieu, the person with Nelly asked to see management, who looked on their computer, Oh yes we are having him on, who Is He? I was'nt with them otherwise I would have been on my high horse, I have friends who went to Campelltown they said there were only about 30 people so sad,; Jeanine Ann Love the photos thank you I like the top one in what I call His Gregory Peck glasses; all the best to Audrey how is she doing?? hope things are'nt to drastic & hard on her system, I know a few people say the treatment is worse that the illness, but what you described did'nt sound too bad, give her our best thoughts please;

Everybody I been sitting on the fence reading all the comments it seems that all you Ladies have said everything that has to be said (bet im wrong again)
I have been on holiday to China for 14 days and guess what.On the KLM flight from Amsterdam to Shanghi I sat and listened to Andre for 10 hours (The Flying Dutchman) And on the flight back from Peking On a China Airways I listened to the Man again This time it was Dancing Through The Skies.
It would seem That he is Well known in a country that he has never visited.
I even photographed the tv screen so that I had proof when I came home that I had listened to him at 35000feet and flying at some 400kph.

Could some kind person in the know please answer my query about Andre's new DVD/CD
I am confused !!!! On his site the DVD And the Waltz Goes on is on sale now for 22 99euros and the CD for 19 95 euros
On Amazon what looks like exactly the same CD with Free DVD will be on sale in November for £8 99 . I have ordered from his site and don't want to order exactly the same from Amazon. Also if it is the same why is Amazon so much cheaper that Andre's own site. I am sure one of you lovely people will have the answer
Oh well Gotta go now and buy two Birthday presents. One for my sister and one for a friend. Wish I could convince them to be an Andre fan. Would make present buying so much easier. They don't know what they are missing

We were treated like Royalty. Your every wish was their command. We can't afford to go to the theatre in London because of the expense, well on the ship we went to the theatre every
night. We obtained 2 more bears, one with a Celebrity Eclipse jumper on and a
bear dressed as the Captain who we have called Dimitris. Today a lovely parcel arrived from Judith. Inside were 2 teddies, one called Hannah and one called Gibson. Well Hannah has taken a shine to Isadore, sorry Risa,
but Isadore only talks about Risa.

Hi everyone, I don't know how many of you know DJBob. It is with great sadness that I tell you his wife Maria passed away yesterday of cancer. They are wonderful friends of mine and Clyde and when we saw Andre in Jacksonville they had us at their home for lunch and it was such a great time and she was a beautiful lady. We will miss her but she is now with the Lord. Our love and condolences from all here on the blog.

Deirdre' The Mastricht concert here at the cinemas was in English, a few seem to think it was recorded on the friday but it rained that day & I saw no rain or ponchos, also if you watched Andre's mouth He was speaking english,it was'nt dubbed in afterwards; "Re Are You Lonesome Tonight" Elvis's version was nice but before Him Al Jolson recorded a heart stopping version which always brings tears to my eyes; Jeanine Ann which venues are you going to for Andre's concert, can I shrink myself & go into Cyber Space then you could fit me in your handbag Ha Ha, I have been voting again for Andre' yesterday He was no1 & personality of the day have a great Andre' Day;
Hi dear Fay, I am going to Philadelphia, Pa. Wells Fargo Arena and to Washington, D.C. (really in Fairfax, Virginia) but I forget the name of the arena. Have never been to either. Would you believe I got 4th row and seats 15, 16 (center) for both concerts. Identical seats and never happened before. I will be close enough for some good photos (hopefully) and video. The venue in Fairfax is the Patriot Centre and is located on the campus of George Mason University.It's smaller than First Mariner Arena in Baltimore and is a much nicer venue.I'll be taking my Andre-Lovin'Mom and meeting up with fellow Andre' fans for dinner before the concert. We'd love to have you join us. Email me directly and we'll make plans.
Hiya, it was indeed done on the Friday, I was lucky enough to be there with my wife, in fact we managed to see ourselves in the Cinema! was quite weird being on the big screen! BUT I do think it was also done on other days, it did indeed rain the next day, and not just a little either! The film cre were there again, but it was mainly on stage filming that we could see, there is a possibilty that one of the concerts later in the week, was done in English? also Sir Anthony Hopkisn was there Friday for the public 1st performance of hsi waltz, which I think is simply great! he flew out of Maastricht the next day.
So all in all some clever editing by Audre Rieu Studios / Cinema Live.
I did notice that some of the footage of the Maastricht concert when shown on TV, was a different angle, albeit same night (Friday)
now just waiting for Jan 2012 for the Trier concert, front row, centre for seating ! !

Hi All, It was indeed done on the Friday, I was lucky enough with my wife to be there, and even saw ourselves on the Cinema screen, which was quite wierd! The crew were also there the next day, in the rain, but that was mainly stage fliming as far as I could see, (Friday was Sunny and Warm).
On Sturady one of the Orchestra said we looked liked 10,000 condoms sitting there !
There may have been an English concert later in the week? I don't know, but thet could have done some nifty editing to put it all together, also Sir Anthony Hopkins was only there on the Friday, he flew out of Maastricht the next day. It was certainly a trip to remember, we lwft home at 0400 in the morning, and the concert ended at about 0030 it was long, happy, joyous day.
It's one of those concerts that once you have been once you just HAVE to try and go again!
Our next date is Jan 2012 in Trier, Germany, another long drive, but front row seats!

This week I booked tickets for two Daniel O'Donnell concerts in Newcastle and Sydney in March next year and got the 4th row both times...not sure of the seat numbers yet as the tickets haven't arrived in my mailbox. Luck is following us both around. I was very thrilled to get so close.

Hi Margaret thank you for asking but I am still not that great. I think by now it is the flu since I have had it since Tuesday and could not make it to church this morning. I thought maybe I could but I also don't want to infect anyone I come in contact with. I still sneeze a little and my head is congested - you know the drill! We had our flu injections last year but not this year because we usually wait until December which may be a mistake because they are available now.

Sylvia I swear by Echinacea, every day I take Garlic horseradish echinacea & C twice daily, I have always had a hayfever problem & have found that taking the above twice daily Both Nelly & I stay clear of the common cold & hayfever, I sometimes watch Andre' & think perhaps He has a Sinus problem the Echinacea would do Him some good,I look each day for mention of venues in Australia there was a break in April & May & I thought He may come here then but then I received an email saying thats when He is going to FRANCE?????? We have Her Majesty The Queen & Prince Phillip Here at the moment, I have only admiration for Her She is no spring chicken but She looks great for her age, we can't say She has no worries as over the years with Her family She has weathered some horrible times,we know She likes Andre' though so She has good taste eh ha ha! I can remember Her coming to Australia in 1954 & waiting to see her drive by, I thought then She was very tiny for such a big job, she has my deep respect for all She has gone through family wise, no different to most of us; love to Christian;

I will make notes on the program with my next concert, as long as I don't have to make notes across sweet and beautiful André's face! We will ask a lot of questions to the members of the orchestra next year in Maastricht. Good to see you on the blog!
Andre has a beautiful multi page 11x17 booklet filled with photos of him & the Orchestra.
Inside the booklet is an 8.5x11 page that has the printed program of music inserted inside the booklet that will be played.
I make my notes on the 8.5x11 printed insert that way I'm NOT writing on top of any of the full color photos. The insert get changed when the music of the concert changes. It's easy to change the insert/program of music because it is merely INSERTED inside the booklet

It is so cool that you had listened to André to China and back from China at 35000 ft. Oh wow, I am definitely flying KLM to Maastricht next year. Carmen is beautiful I love the interaction between Herself & Andre' I love Her voice as well & have been missing Her, & Mirusia She is beautiful & has the voice to go with it but I feel she is very much down to earth, I admire Her & Her flying through the air, I have no head for heights, what she did at the Maastricht concert was " hold your breathe" moment for me, but then Andre' I believe chooses very wisely who He show cases; JEANINE ANN, your concert time is getting close are you a tiny bit excited, you will enjoy I know can't wait to read all about it, you & Clyde are sensible to stay over, as its not yourself you need worry over on the roads but all the other stupid ?????????
Fay I am a WHOLE LOT EXCITED!! We found our hotel for Fairfax thanks to a sweet lady named Kathy who lives there and who we are meeting for dinner before the concert. Philadelphia is a little harder because the arena is in a big sports complex and all the hotels around there are expensive but we will find one. We are only a few hours from Phila. but it will be late and dark and we just don't want to take a chance driving because there is a ton of traffic in that area. I found out I may have aisle seats in Va. and you know what that means. The seats seem to be numbered 1 to 16 from right to left and we have 15 and 16 so if they keep the seating as I see it now I will be on the end and the side Andre comes down. OOOh happy days!!!!! That would be my 4th hi-five. Ooooh what is a woman to do!!!! Sooooooo in Love. Hugs

Are you excited or are you excited, I know just how you feel, to be in the presence of such a giving talented person is a momentous few hours, & He does give us so much of Himself & His people, ENJOY SWEET LADY; SYLVIA, we still have The Queen & Prince Phillip here they were in Brisbane yesterday & sailed up the Brisbane river there were such a crowd lining the river bank , She waved & they waved back, it was estimated that four hundred & fifty thousand came out to meet Her, all school children were given a holiday, & as she walked up from the boat it took a while as there were so many little ones with flowers which She stopped to collect, I admire this 84 year old Monarch, she is rather spritely, & The Duke is great for a 90 year old, but I bet they will be pleased to get home & put their feet up, The Queen is still wearing quite a high heel, something I can no longer do, where did you go for your cruise???;

Hi All, Just a quick note, still in the throws of moving!!!! we didn't realise how dirty the house was, Becci has been a gem getting it cleaned, although it has been difficult with 2 small children, I have boxes every where at the moment sat on two cushions in my new house writing this but now have TV in here and internet connection.Big move on Satuday! To Shirley, just to say I am thinking of you and go for it!!!!!. One good thing on the horizon, 10th Nov GOING TO SEE ANDRE woooooooow, we got our itinery the other day we are to stay in the Brussels Airport Hotel, looks posh! Lillie is getting excited as well as us, evey day she tells us going on a bus and a boat to see Andre Music Man. All for now must get on hugs and luv Ruth P
ooooh that was a nice interview, I personally would like that big poster that was behind them both, I like the face Andre' is pulling, I wonder was Himself as relaxed as He came across, He can come & relax on my lounge any day He likes, I WISH ha ha; thank you for all the lovely wishes I am rather over come,it is also My Grandaughters birthday, she was 25, the best birthday gift ever, she was 1.3kg.,8 weeks early she fought to stay in this world had an infection & lost3inches of her bowel then MRSA, when she was 2 she had her gall removed as it was damaged by the drips that kept her alive, today she is a beautiful person & I love her dearly , one should not have favorites but I do, I love my other Granchildren but Samantha has a big place in my heart, she spent a lot of her early & teen years with us & we know each other well so I am most Blest to have her in my life, Narelle gave me a boxed set 0f 11 dvs of a beautiful Man playing beautiful music this set is a collectors item here in Australia & the box is a bit like Andre's castle, & lets face it one can never have too many dvds eh!!!
its very quiet on here at the moment has everyone gone on holidays or???, my new cd arrived the other day the music is so beautiful, the piece about New Zealand was composed by Andre' & Frank, the words by Andre's beautiful Marjorie, I never cease to be amazed at the talent given to us by these beautiful people, now I am waiting for the dvd its not released till the 30th. here. Sylvia I note what you mean about the writing in the cd , we have a saying when you don't understand something, " its all dutch to me" ha have a great day with lots of beautiful music, I had my carpets shampood today my villa smell beautiful;

Maureen I just LURV that red jacket. It makes Andre stand out form the crowd.Not that he needs a red jacket to achieve that.
It wasn't until recently I started thinking about it that I realised how much I like the colour red. My nephew said to me a couple of days ago that he likens people to colours. I asked him what colour I was and he said RED.
I went to the hairdresser this week (which I hate) and asked her to put a bit of red in my hair. It has always had a red tint to it but has faded with the passing of the years. I said I didn't want to look like a pillar box. Well to put it mildly when I am walking down the road I am surprised the traffic doesn't come to a standstill!!!! Boy oh boy is it RED. I really don't care for it and will be glad when it fades.

Hi All, Still looking at all your messages. Had a bad day today awake most of night difficulty breathing (I have mild emphysema)could not walk properly 4.30am, went to docs this morning ssaid he wanted to admit to hospital!!!!! told him I was moving tomorrow so ended up on a nebuliser, on anti bi and steroids if it happens again to ring for ambulance. Reckon it was stress and doing too much.......will have to play Andre tomorrow all day on my portable CD player is that not a good idea??? Hugs and Luv Ruth
Oh Ruth I am so sorry that you were ill all night and this morning. If you have emphysema it could have been the stress of moving which brought on an attack. Maureen I like anything Andre' wears, the colours he does wear fascinate me they would look strange on the average person but on Himself they look sooo good, why is that do you think ? mind you the way he coordinates the colours also amaze me on the average man they would look strange, but Andre'dresses so tastefully & sexy, Narelle had an Andre' mouse pad made for me but I just cannot run the mouse over His face, she took last years calendar & had it scanned I love it, I usually throw old calendars out but coul'nt bring myself to put Andre' in the recycle bin thats a no no, yes I am crazy especially about a certain Man.

Hi Jeanine Ann, On Tuesday this week we had the most horendous thunderstorm and halestones fell for about half an hour, we are in the south west Somerset and it was really scarey, Icant remember such a violent storm ever after the fork lightening you couldnt even count to one b efore the thunder clap and it was right overhead the halestones didnt disappear either for three or four hours hope you dont get too much of a snow storm today luv and hugs Margaret xx.
Started writing and it disappeared. Anyway, if you bought tickets through PBS for Manchester you can go to the meet and greet for $50. PBS called -- it's $50 for the three of us combined. It is so embarrassing, the venue is very sparsely filled, best seats still available and obviously no one signed up for meet and greet. Why doesn't Andre's organization get it? Sure diehard fans and people who watch PBS will go, but no one else has a clue he is coming. Add that to Thanksgiving weekend and it's a terrible situation. People who have lots of family coming and who might have gone themselves, won't be taking a whole group. It's very sad -- and unnecessary. It is not good news for the northeast. I thought with no concert in Boston, Manchester would fill but no such luck. Well, I guess he's used to it in the US but this is worse than usual. I guess if everyone moves to the front we can have our own private concert.

Hi sweet Deirdre and ALL I am at Starbucks. Thanks for putting the note on I guess Bill is not at home. We have no power since yesterday morning so I am getting everything done here while I can. Everything in our area is a mess. Trees down all over the place. We were out last evening knocking the 8 inches of snow off our favorite trees (the trees we planted in memory of Honi and Cotton). Lots of people lost trees and no one has power and we don't even have cell phone power which is a little disconcerting due to emergency calls but we will be fine. I am working on the November pages and if necessary we will go to Starbucks tomorrow to publish them. We have never had a snowstorm of this magnitude for 59 years. If you drive a few miles out of our community there is hardly any snow! We are about 100ft higher than the surrounding areas and it dumped on us. We even had thunder snow yesterday. But all is well and we have food but no hot water. Hope all is well with everyone on the blog. Thinking of all of you. Love and hugs, JA

We were quite lucky. Many people lost power but I didn't. And, we didn't have all that much snow. It's still on the ground but the roads are clear. It's pretty windy still. Cats stood there for a minute shaking one foot and then the other but then off they went. I notice they keep coming in though. Thank heavens we are not without heat. It is cold here and in the 20s tonight. Thank heaven for modern conveniences. How they did it in the 1700s before the advent of effective stoves, I don't know.

Jeanine Ann, you have surely had a dumping of snow, the weather is trully crazy, we have been back to winter with quite cold days which I don't mind as I like the heat but not the horrible humidity, that makes me quite ill; I hope Andre' does'nt plan to fly Qantas any time soon cause they are'nt, because of all the different strikes the head man has grounded the whole fleet,that did'nt just put a "fly in the ointment"as the saying goes it put a big bird, so many people stranded, it has far reaching consequences,as you all know so many people rely on the airlines for goods etc. etc;Maureen you will enjoy the dvd mine too is on the way, but i love the cd to listen to as jasper & I go off to sleep, if I don't have Andre' on he pulls my hair & if that does'nt work 1 claw will stick into my head, the music on the new one is Heavenly, I love the waltz that Andre' & Frank wrote, in fact I love it all its different, so much talent that is shared with us all, I am glad to be alive at this moment in time; Josephine I have gone back to voting for Andre' for the last 5 weeks, ;

Hi everyone! Just an update. Still no power. It came on last night for 5 minutes. Evidently they tried to get it up and running and blew a transformer right in our community and still no trucks today. People are getting a little stressed. We checked on our neighbors who are in their mid eighties and their house was so cold so Clyde said they could have our generator but the man did not want to do that. He wanted a place to go for a shower and a good nights sleep so Clyde told him to go out and get a motel room for two nights which he did and he stayed with his wife until he got back. The motels are filling up fast. Most of the people in our community are older and have no other means of heat. We do have a fireplace even though just propane, it does keep the living room warm. We have had no baths since Saturday and no hot water for drinks. We have the community center but we like to keep that for the older people who need to sleep down there. It is like a shelter in the even of emergencies such as this.
Anyway I am going to publish the Guesbook before I leave here this afternoon since we only have today for the October page so please feel free to use the new page. I will get the Birthdays on tomorrow. I hope we have our power tonight but who knows. Okay hope everyone is fine here and I will see you later. Enjoy the November page and I will see you there. I watch Skye news, plus all our free news channels.We get good coverage I feel sympathy for the elderly. I leave for my cruise to New Zealand on November 19th- December 3rd.
