A Star Is Born
On Earth's horizon a faint light
glows far away
tiny streams of this light reaching out
on a perfect Autumn day
It heralds the birth
of a brand new star - one

would be from afar

but way far too few
would know of this birth
But wait!! --so much more will arrive
with this light

Strings of light pierce

turn into sounds to the
masters delight!
A life full of music awaits
this young star
sounds which will echo near
and quite far
Those who would hear will be
touched with delight
how can one human
know what is right - - -
To ease someone's ills to
dull aching pain
to bring so much joy over
and over again - -
Not as a doctor heals the
body whole
but who brings peace and love
and reaches the soul
Many will hear him but
not all will know
the man, the star
the one we love so
But those who are touched

This is BEAUTIFUL. Jeanine Ann, can my husband put this on scroll, he can do caligraphy very well - also a star that was born on 6 March who nobody knows about - and give this GIFT to Andre when he visits South Africa again? I must ask your permission - my husband can also do a poem by himself and I believe I will do it just as good - but this is BEAUTIFUL. I just want to say that you and my husband has the same manner of writing poems - if you wrote this for Andre? As I read through it, I could see my husband's way of writing a poem. Hi Alta, So nice to hear from you again. In answer to your first question yes it is my sister and she was diagnosed with breast cancer but it was caught in time and was very small. Her surgery is today and I will know more tonight. As far as the poem you have my permission for your husband to put it on a scroll or whatever he would want to do with it as long as he puts my name on it and yes I did write it for Andre. I would love to see some of your husband's poems some day. I love poetry and we have several on this blog who like to write poems. Eve is very good and writes many of them. Jeanine, I have a very dear friend who also was diagnosed with breast cancer but it was caught in time. And thank God He heard our prayers and up until today no sign of it again! Prayer changes everything! I am becoming 64 on 1 December (I hope my name is on your birthday list????? - if not put it there please) and went through a lot of pain and "deserts" in my life, but I am still standing. Then, a very important question and favour, I am going to Andre's show in Johannesburg at the Coca Cola Dome on the night of 12 August 2012 (what a long time to wait!!!!). How do I go about to just get a photo of me and him together???? PLEASE, I beg you!!!!! And another question, Marjory, is she also playing in the Johan Strause orchestra? Do you have a photo of her. I would like to see her as they say "It is the woman who makes the man". If Andre is this fabulous man, what must she be like. I realy want to see a photo of her or if she plays in the orchestra, which instrument. Maybe someday I will come and visit where-ever you are, but my husband is wheelchair bound, and he is very big man - was 6'10½" - now he is small than me 5'2". I will definately send you a poem one of these days!! Let me know how did it go with your sister.

I don't know if Andre will have a meet and greet at the Coca Cola Dome next year or not but that would be your surest way of getting your photo taken with Andre. I can check for you. As far as Marjorie is concerned I cannot put a photo of her on the blog because it is her wish that she stays in the background as far as Andre's profession is concerned but I will email one to you. She is not a member of the JSO. She plays a very big part in Andre's organization especially in the business area and the ideas for his concerts. Hi to all, If you read Andre`s book My Music My Life it is written in the first person but is actually written by Marjorie and explains quite a lot about her part in Andre`a work. She is also afraid of flying (I can relate to that) so only attends concerts where it isn't necessary to fly. The book is marvellous and there are pictures of her in it. Blessings to all.
