Anyone who says that classical music is boring has not yet attended a concert by Dutch violinist André Rieu, who offered a concert on the evening on Friday, October 9. The first of five concerts at the Auditorio Nacional, which was a different show to the one presented last year and whose title is: An unforgettable night.

André chose pieces by composers such as Puccini, Handel, Shostakovich, Gilbert, and of course Strauss.

At the beginning of his concert he played the waltz "Voices of Spring" with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, who were elegantly dressed, in addition to a vital accessory, good humor.

At the start of the concert, Andre explained that he had chosen “Voices of Spring” to start the concert for one reason: "The people of Mexico need joy, people of Mexico are very sad ..."

The audience shouted "No!" and added: "This is nonsense, we are the happiest country in Latin America”.

One of the highlights of the evening came when André Rieu performed “Snowwaltz” of Koschat, because during the middle of the piece snow began to fall in the Auditorium.

During the concert Mexican music was not lacking. The sombrero musicians and the audience, sang "Cielito Lindo" and "El Jarabe Tapatio" were heard throughout the auditorium.
