Marc Rieu, son of Andre Rieu, will hold an art exhibition at the Hotel de Wiemsel in Ootmarsum.
On Saturday, October 29, at 18:30, the Mayor of Dinkelland, Mr. R.S. Cazemier, will open the exhibition of Marc Rieu at the Hotel de Wiemsel in Ootmarsum
In the spring, Hannah and Martin Bruggink, met Marc Rieu, son of Andre Rieu, for the first time. After a personal introduction to the artist and his works, they worked hard to make this first exhibition in Ootmarsum possible.
The premiere will start on Saturday, October 29th at 18:30 with a festive aperitif. After the opening there will be an 'artistic' star restaurant dinner in the Wanne. You can be present provided that you have a reservation. During the gourmet cuisine of star chef Gerhard Müller, Marc Rieu will personally explain his works in detail.
Marc Rieu was born in Maastricht on 1 November 1978 and lives near the office of his parents at the bottom of St. Peter on the banks of the Maas. Marc's devotion stems from the enchanting landscapes, Romantic art and the Bourgondische lifestyle. "Enjoy what you see!" is the credo of this visually talented and very musical family of Maastricht.
It is very clear that harmony is a magic word for the Rieu family. While his father André travels the world and spends his time harmoniously, son Marc spends his time with the canvas and brush. Like the Romantics Marc’s work is inspired by landscapes, deep colors and mystical atmospheres. We can experience his "suggestive illusionism", as in the case of all art.
The beautiful works of Marc Rieu are on display until Nov. 23 in The Wiemsel. On Sunday, October 30, from 11:30 hours, he will be present to receive visitors.

Oh I just love the credo of the Rieu Family:"Enjoy what you see!" I really enjoy watching André and all the wonderful expressions on his face! And the magic word:"Harmony." André and his beautiful music brings harmony to the world. At his concerts all his fans become one and there is no difference between people of race and color. What a perfect family. I love the very vivid colors that Marc uses & His landscapes are so beautiful, He can relax us with His paintings like His Father who does it with music what a talented family, Pierre & Marjorie included, I thank God every day for their special gifts to us;
