ANDRé RIEU de MENS achter het FENOMEEN by GOVERT DE ROOS

A synopsis on : DE INSPIRATOR (THE INSPIRATOR)
Even standing in the limelight, stars are just ordinary people. With dreams, ideals and heroes. On 11 April 2011 Anthony Hopkins, one of the biggest actors over the past decade, visited the studio of André Rieu for a special
recording. He is a big fan of André. Hopkins also loves the music of Johann Strauss and even composed his own waltz in the sixties. Forty years later he wrote to André and asked if he would consider looking at the waltz to see whether it was suited to be recorded. André played the waltz with his orchestra and here and there made small adjustments to the music. It was intensely beautiful. Govert De Roos took the photo during the recording and could feel Anthony’s honest stirring and admiration. All the members of the orchestra knew this world famous actor from America. They all saw his movies. With Hopkins in the studio, the roles were reversed. Anthony Hopkins was the fan and André Rieu and the orchestra the heroes. Govert De Roos could feel how the two worlds became one. He could feel the mutual respect and has never experienced such harmony in the studio before. All were equal.

Once every so often appears a person whose task is to illuminate the way for mankind using the gifts granted to him. Such a person is Andre.
