THE CHRISTMAS TREE is ready,
It's trimmed with beautiful, globes and fine spiral shaped glass ornaments, tiny glass violins and crystal guitars, dainty angels, silver stars.
Each ornament reflects a sweet face: MY FRIENDS, and the angel on the top is a shiny golden piece: representing friendship, goodness, adoration.
My tree is covered in fine gossamer made of love.

Hi, Jeanine Ann! I have just returned from the US, jaded and jetlagged yet still buzzing from the Philadelphia experience on the 29th November! It was a real pleasure meeting you and Clyde at the concert (and hotel) – and what a superb performance it was, great atmosphere, responsive audience! I am not surprised you could not sleep that night – after all, Cloud Nine was a bit overcrowded!
I am so glad your operation was a success, and may I now wish you, Clyde and all friends in this cosy corner of cyberspace the Happiest of Happy Christmases.

Christmas time is a special time of year full of things that make our hearts beat an extra special beat...our feelings and emotions are in overdrive, we eat more than we should, we spend much more than we should...we do all this in sharing our love and happiness with everyone...our families and friends and even those we informally meet for the first time.
I wish you ALL a beautiful Christmas season filled with all the happiness your heart can hold. You are all very special and even though most of us have never met, we do have mutual interests and things that make us happy, together! Yes I made these sketches but like 30 something years ago. A friend of mine, Ildiko, had several collections of old cards, Xmas cards, postal cards etc from between the two world wars. I liked them so much I made sketches having them as models, so the idea doesn't really belong to me.
I loved Christmas so much I started painting them (me & mom) long before Xmas to be ready in time to send them to friends.
In those days, I mean in the communist era u couldn't find cards having religious themes or anything for Xmas or Easter. So we made them.
Now it's different, u can buy Xmas cards, beautiful ones everywhere. But I think the ones I do for my friends are more appreciated.
