Andre Rieu's Long Awaited Maastricht Dates Are Known
André Rieu’s long-awaited concert dates in Maastricht,Vrijthof square, are known. The dates were posted on January 20, 2012.
André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform a series of outdoor concerts in June, on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 at the central square. The concerts will be performed on:
Friday, June 22, 2012, 21:00
Saturday, June 23, 2012, 22:00
Sunday, June 24, 2012, 21:00

At first it looked as though the concerts on the Vrijthof this year would not take place because of the overwhelming success in Brazil. "I think it is important to honor this annual tradition and therefore I decided to return from Brazil and plan further concerts at a later stage.” said André Rieu.

This year André Rieu will once again transform the famous square into a grand, romantic open-air concert hall with room for about ten thousand people. Fans can enjoy an unforgettable evening of captivating waltzes, classical music, operettas and musicals, and unique performances by Andre Rieu and his orchestra, famous soloists and special guest artists.
"We play all over the world, but I think it is always nice and special to come back to my Maastricht. It's really my home. Playing on the most beautiful square in the Netherlands for my friends, family and my grandchildren in public! "says Rieu. "We have been very busy with preparations. I won’t reveal anything, but this year we will make sure to once again make this a very special feast! ”

Hi JeanineAnn I am still waiting for my gold membership as well. they said about 8 days.mine is new and I think they thought it was a continuation.it has been 37dC here and I take Coco on the beach every am about 7ish.she loves it. I guess you have snow and cold. big hug Libby
